I had been looking for a handy and reliable FM Transmitter which doesn't need to be plugged into the Cigarette Lighter socket, since my car doesn't have a line-in for the speakers. The Philips/DLO FM transmitter works great.. have been using it for a few months, the sound quality for the 88.1Mhz frequency is excellent. Construction is plastic, so its not extremely durable. Does not seem to have auto turn off. Has a single rechargeable AAA battery which can be charged while in use by line-in from the included cigarette lighter socket adapter. I love it :)

I bought this for a specific trip and received it the day before the trip and plugged it into the car to test it out. It seemed to work just fine (I live in the city and still was able to get it to play pretty clearly).The next day we left for our trip and plugged it back into the car and immediately the aux in port became lose and fell into the product (so when you shook it around you could hear it), and we were then unable to plug anything into it and the product became useless.
It does feel quite cheap. We stopped at a local electronics store and bought another one for about twice as much but it was much more sturdy and is one that I can tell will last much more than one night like this one did.
Save yourself the hassle and skip this one.
