I don't usually write reviews but the imagnet deserves one.

I had been looking for a simple, clutter free, one handed solution for docking my phone in my car. Ive tried universal docks which end up falling apart or losing their grip. Ive tried a specifically made dock but they're too tight to use with a case.

Im not using the suction mount aspect (so i wont be talking about it). I took off the magnet and mounted it directly to my dash.

-Magnet is super strong

-metal disks are extremely thin (was surprised how thin)

-fits between my phone and case

The beauty of it is I get in my car and just slap it on the magnet. No fuss, no adjusting.

Case thickness does affect the strength of hold however. So if you have a bulky case (otterbox), you might consider a different case or just mounting the magnet to the back. Its thin enough to not even notice.

Perfect way to mount my iphone on my car dashboard. I've used holders with suction cups before but it would only hold well on glass surfaces. The suction cup on the imagnet has a sticky layer that makes it possible to use on my textured dashboard. It's good how the holder doesn't block my vision now. I like how this holder doesn't have any brackets that block the volume and silent buttons on the side of the phone. The mount provides sufficient support in all directions including upside down.

The magnetic snapping action is really sweet and I don't even have to look at where I'm mounting my phone to anymore. With other mounts I needed two hands, one hand to hold the phone, and the other hand to open the clamps.

However:

There's no interference issues with my iphone from the magnets, but it does cause temporary loss of direction in the MAPS app.

The sticky suction cup is really good (different to the normal ones) but it won't work on wood (such as my dining table)

I currently use this with my Droid Bionic. I've found that, even with a higher-capacity battery the steel disc fits inside battery door, allowing me to use this without a bulky case and without the steel plate stuck to the back of my phone. The magnet is more than sufficiently strong to hold the phone in place in whatever orientation I see fit and keeps it in place even when driving over rough and broken pavement. I also love the fact that this isn't phone specific it can be used with any device and comes with a variety of plates to allow it to work well. The fact that it doesn't use a bulky cradle is particularly nice for those that have to haul this around for regular travel (I travel weekly for work). Other reviews have referenced the soft, gummy suction cup which allows this to stick effectively even to irregular surfaces like textured dashboards. Overall, this is a spectacularly compact, effective, and flexible mount. Worth every penny. Way highly recommended.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus. I don't use a cover, so I was hoping that the metal plate would fit between my battery door and battery. I gave it a try with the non-adhesive round plate and it worked perfectly! I switch batteries out sometimes since this phone is a battery hog, so I wanted to use one of the adhesive plates so that the plate wouldn't fall out. I had to cut one of the rectangular plates down to about 2/3 of its size with a pneumatic cutter and a filer. I put the adhesive side touching the battery door, and it fits perfectly!

I have a Verizon Galaxy Nexus with the (barely) extended battery at 2200 mah. It is a few millimeters thicker than the standard battery so it comes with a new battery door that is a few millimeters thicker.

I found a good spot in my truck to put the mount. And that the suction cup has a sticky residue to it worked great-otherwise it probably wouldn't have held very well in the spot I chose.

One thing I do have to be careful of is the battery door popping off a little. To work around this, I try to be sure to remove the phone at an angle, rather than pulling straight up from the center. I'm ordering one for my dad now who has a RAZR M with an Otterbox.

I've gotten to where I hate buying docks made specifically for your model phone, because it'll be junk in two years (or less for me!). And the universal docks that Verizon, etc. sell in store are terrible. There's some other docks that people swear by, but none that really stood out to me. I knew that this was a great concept from when I first came across it.

It would be nice to not have the little apple logo.. since I use Android.. lol.

Update Mar. 10 2013:

A few days after the post, I took out the plate that I had cut down because it make the back cover pop out in a couple of places. So I went even lower tech and took the really thin round plate that doesn't have adhesive. Then I took regular old masking tape and made a loop out of an inch or two of tape. And I taped the plate to the inside of the battery cover. Haven't looked back since. And I have had to change the battery out a few times and the plate stayed in without me even thinking about it being there.

Oh, and the phone still has no errors from the magnet as a few of my friends were absolutely sure would happen. ;)

Update Sept. 28, 2013:

I now have a Galaxy S4 on Verizon. I got it the first week that it came out. It has been working great with the iMagnet. I am still taping the metal disc to the inside of the battery door. And I'm using a Spigen Neo Hybrid case SPIGEN SGP Samsung Galaxy S4 Case Protective [Neo Hybrid] [Infinity White] Slim Fit Dual Protection Cover for Galaxy S IV Galaxy SIV i9500. But I still liked putting the metal plate inside of the battery cover. It does make the back poke out just a little, but only enough to be barely noticeable.
