Review of Aims PWRINV500024W 5000 Watt 24 Volt Power Inverter

I recently ordered the aims 24 volt power inverter to replace a 12 volt inverter. 24 volt uses HALF THE AMPERAGE AND IS TWICE AS EFFICIENT AS 12 VOLT . THUS DRAWING HALF THE AMPERAGE FROM THE BATTERY PACK. I INATALLY HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE FIRST INVERTER BUT UPON CALLING AIMS THEY SENT ME A NEW INVERTER AFTER INSPECTING MY OLD ONE. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND CURTIOUS.. THANKS AIMS AND IN THE FUTURE I WILL BE LOOKING TO YOUR COMPANY WHEN I UP GRADE AGAIN THANKS AGAIN ED.

The Inverter was ordered on March 19 2012, recently we purchased the final items for our solar backup system. After installation my Son noticed that the Inverter was using 3 Times the Power it Should, he said it Should use approximately 5 Times the 12.5 Amps that our Water Pump Pulls at 120 Volts, but Instead it Pulls 15 Times as Much Power at 24 Volts, around 190 Amps Instead of 62.5 Amps and also the Cooling Fan Stays On Most of the Time and Drains the Batteries without even Plugging in an Appliance. Also we were Shocked when we searched online for the exact Model of Inverter and Found Out that the Inverter is Known to be Defective, but the Seller Never Contacted us to Offer to Make it Right. We Requested in October to Return the Item, but the Seller Just Wants to Ask More Questions, Even Though they Know the Inverter is Defective. If The Inverter Store Allows Me to Return the Defective Inverter and Gives Me a Full Refund, I Will Update My Review.
