I bought several of the 10W Wall Chargers for use with iPhones and iPads. One day I eventually bought a USB Power Meter and tested it's performance. After testing it, I can not recommend this. Read "performance" for more info.
Size:
From the photo, these appear to be similar in size to the Apple iPhone charger (only 1 Amp.) They are not. They are about 50% larger. This is OK as they are still relatively compact, but in a power strip you won't be able to get them in adjacent outlets. I tested this in a wall outlets and because wall outlets are spaced further apart than on a power strip, you can just get two of these in to the top and bottom outlet if you flip one over upside down. This shouldn't be a problem if you're plugging them in to a wall, but I only mention this because I imagined these being a little smaller than they actually are.
The Apple iPad charger is a larger rectangular brick that is designed to stick out more but not obscure adjacent outlet plugs which is a more efficient design. I'm not sure what Energizer was going for with design, but it seems like form took priority over function.
Folding Prongs:
The plug prongs fold in for travel which is a nice feature.
Performance:
I tested this charge with a genuine Apple USB to 30-pin cable on an iPad 2 and found that I could only draw 1.43 amps (this is a 2.1 amp adapter.) Running the same test with the genuine Apple 10 watt (2.1 amp) that was included with the iPad 2, I pull 1.87 amps. Therefore the iPad 2 is still able to rapid charge but it does not perform quite as well as Apple's or other 10 watt adapters. Not bad, but if it performs about 10% worse, why get it?
The only adapter I've found that actually beats Apple's 10 watt adapter is PowerGen Dual USB 3.1A 15w Travel Wall Charger with Swivel plug for Apple iPad 2, New iPad 3, iPhone 5 4s 4 3 3Gs, Amazon Kindle Fire HD DX KeyBoard, Samsung Galaxy Tab (USB Cable NOT included) BLACK which is 15 watts, not 10 watts. With the powergen 15 watt the iPad 2 pulled a maximum of 1.96 amps (my USB tester has a 2 amp limit so it's possible it pulls more if the iPad 2 will allow it.) Note I did not test the Apple 12 watt adapter and I did not test the iPad 3.
Testing with the iPhone 4S:
The iPhone performs identically to this one as it does with any and all other 5 watt and 10 watt adapters (I've tested 14.) The iPhone will draw a maximum of 1.03 amps (5 watts) regardless if it's connected to a 5 watt, 10 watt, or 15 watt adapter. So it's performance is identical on an iPhone.
At the time I originally bought this and wrote the review, there weren't many good alternatives out there and it cost less than Apple's chargers, but Apple's 12 watt adapter is only $19. I would just buy the real thing with Apple or get the powergen 15 watt dual port (note the 2nd port on the powergen 15 watt will only deliver 2.5 watts to Apple iPhones and iPads so consider it single-port adapter for all intents and purposes.)
Or get something significantly cheaper, but expect the performance to be slightly worse (5%-10% worse than apple's genuine.)

Charges the new Ipad (2012) very fast, as fast as the original Apple charger.Well built, sturdy, does not feel cheap.
This comes with 2ft Apple Dock Connector cable, not 1.70 cm like listed in the product information.
I got mine from Amazon directly.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is a great little car charger for multiple devices. We used it to charge my son's iPod and it worked fairly quickly, and very easily. It has a general USB port, so it can charge anything that will utilize that type of port. The single complaint I have is that the cord is not very long at all. It certainly reaches to charge something placed in a center console, or stretched to the limit on the passenger seat, but would not not reach any further.
A longer cord would be a nice option for road trips where the passengers in the back seat could have something plugged in, or to make front seat charging a bit easier (the device could sit more safely at the back of the front seat rather than at the edge).
Generally, I think it is a handy device with multiple uses if you are going to use it close at hand.
