I did not get this option with my Vette when I bought it. I assumed that I would have her out everyday and not be concerned about the battery going down. This is a small, easy to hook up battery tender. The biggest issue I was concerned with is "How do the wires get out of the car?" Actually the C6 (can't say about other generations) has a small notch in the door well on the bottom that allowed the wires out without crimping.
