I purchased a Garmin Nuvi and have been using it for several months. One problem I encountered is that the end of the 12V (cigarette lighter) adapter came unscrewed and the parts inside fell out--a spring, fuse, etc. The second time this happened I couldn't find all of the parts so the cable was useless! I purchased this cable as a replacement and it seems to fit and work perfectly with the Garmin.

You gotta really force the plug into the back of the GPS but once plugged in, it charges the GPS really well. The plug does not come out while driving or moving.

Just so you know, I have the Garmin c550.

My old garmin adapter somehow broke and needed a replacement. I searched the web and found lots of cheap replacement but had terrible reviews. I saw this item had very good reviews and bought it. It was shipped fast and it worked like a charm. It seems to be strong and not made with cheap materials. I would recommend this for replacement of your garmin adapter.

I bought this cable as a replacement for the one that came with my Nuvi, after the original cable was destroyed in a car accident. Unfortunately, the original cable had a traffic receiver built in, so you obviously will no longer receive traffic data if you replace that with this one (that replacement cable is around $100). However, for supplying power, this cable is excellent. It fits solidly into the Nuvi and I have no worries that it will ever slip out or become loose. The cable itself feels plenty think and sturdy. If you're just looking for a spare charger, this is the one to get!
