As soon as I got the charger in the mail, I pulled it out of the box, plugged in the battery cylinder to the solar panel and threw it on top of my car. About 4 hours later I unplugged the charger from the solar panel and connected it to my smartphone and my phone began to immediately charge from the battery pack! Worked seamleesly.

can slap it on my back or stick it in the back of my car window and charge up things no major issues but it just takes a bit more time then a larger one

This solar charger is very easy to use. We took it out of the box, plugged in the stick that comes with it to store the electricity and charged it up. One full charge allowed me to charge my smart phone two times and my camera once. It is small enough to fit in any back pack or large hip sack. We have taken it to a theme park an outdoor festival and to camp and it is a great accessory.

I think the larger panels could be better if you intend to power devices regularly or on long trips but this is awesome in a pinch and can work well if you only have 1 or devices that you need to juice up a little on a trip.
