Bought this for our kindle and it didn't work. Worked for our cell phone, so I guess it wasn't a total waste of money.

I'm using this with a Motorola RAZR M (micro USB connector). Some car chargers charge at "USB" rate, which is slow and won't keep up with navigation, GPS, bluetooth, etc. at the same time. According to my phone's status display, this unit charges at "AC" rates (it thinks it's plugged into a home power outlet), so it will charge even if you're using all of the power-sucking features of your phone.

The charger has stopped charging my phone but it was fine while it lasted though it didn't work very long.

It works. It was cheap. I am a bit skeptical on how long it will last, though. I guess time will tell.
