Friction ring that holds the sockets on broke but it is still useable. Also it held a charge well. I would recommend it.

I've used this impact regularly for a little over a year now. I bought it June 2012, and it finally gave out today.

The main problems I have with it are obviously its short lifespan and the fact that there is no warranty service for it. You get what you pay for, and this is true here.
