installation can be a little tricky if you have short or tight battery cables but there is nothing "hard" about the install. i was installed in testing in less than 15min.
this product is great. i will be adding one to my daily driver as well.

Update Sept 2012 - The Battery Protector protected my batteryWife tried to open up car, no power, she opened trunk with key, that put current to the battery protector, that put battery back on line, opened car, car started, worked like a champ.
This car has a tendency to not shut off a relay, somewhere in car, the battery protector worked, money well spent.
------------------------------------------
Installed item on car, so far working as advertised.
Have not had a problem with a battery drain yet, so can not say that item has protected the battery yet.
However I am sure it will, this car likes to surprise me every now and again.
Battery on this car is in trunk, and space is limited, was able to make it fit, in my case the cable being a few inches longer would have helped, but it is OK.
Seems to be quality product.

Works great. I have had one for a couple of years. I have some kind of slow battery drain. It has always worked. Disconnect if you have to jump the battery.Honest reviews on Priority Start 12-Volt-Pro-SP PriorityStart Automatic Battery
I have had no problems with this. I acciedntally ran my battery down a couple of weeks ago and it worked perfectly. Stepped on brake and it started right up. Great! My wife drained the battery in her van this week and I am now getting a second PriorityStart! for that vehicle. Both of our vehicles have original battery protection features such as interior lights that go off after a time delay, and a headlight chime or headlights that go off with the ignition. These have saved us many times, but no matter what, it is possible to figure out a way to accidentally drain the battery eventually (no such thing as idiot-proof unless you have PriorityStart!)
Installation is about as difficult as installing a car battery. If you are not a do-it-yourself type, I'm sure a mechanic would take care of it for you.
I consider this a good investment because it will extend the life of your batteries, not to mention avoiding the inconvenience and possible safety implications of having a drained battery. Easy to transfer to future vehicles.
Highly recommended. Almost as essential as having a spare tire in the vehicle.
