I bought this to run my 17" Asus G74S republic of gamers series laptop from a 12v Marine battery. (Instead of battery > Inverter > AC adapter) It was able to run my laptop just fine. I was running on power saving mode the entire time, screen brightness down all of the way, power saving profile, etc.
It seems a bit cheaply made, but we will see how it stands the test of time.

Bought this for camping. It worked excellent.
Only had it for a short time so I can't vouch for durability but it seems fine.
