I was tired of being Drained Down by those lead acid batteries.

They require regular maintenance, stocking backup distilled water to refill the cells, and testing. I am R-E-T-I-R-E-D and would rather sip my favorite green tea and honey, instead of worrying about those lead acid batteries. After all your care and maintenance, in a few months lead acid batteries still become bloated and unreliable. Who needs that unreliability when you will need backup batteries during a major critical incident that brings down your local, regional or national electrical grid?

The Vmaxlr125 AGM batteries, while more expensive than lead acid, are worth every dollar! The Customer Service by the fine employees at BargainShore is superb, too. They answered my various technical questions prior to purchase, then updated their Amazon product photos to show more specific details of the product, too.

The batteries came individually wrapped in plastic, then DOUBLE boxed with precut Styrofoam board.

While the Vmaxlr125 is slightly heavier than the older lead acid batteries they replaced, the fit in the reinforced battery receptacle was perfect. It was also a perfect fit and match for the parallel connections of the new Vmaxs to each other with our terminal connectors, digital charger and system.

While now I can peaceably sip my green tea, my system is finally sipping some reliable electrical backup juice now—and ready for a S.I.P. Event (Shelter-In-Place) to help protect those who God placed in my stewardship.

These batteries exceeded my expectations. Don't cheap out when setting up a solar plant. I tried some deep cell marine batteries, first, there is no comparison.

I am using this battery for my 200 watts solar system. I have the renogy solar panels and charge controller, also a cobra 1500 watts inverter. All these items work like a charm.

One thing that you must watch out for is that the connecting cables aren't included. I bought the cobra 4 awg cable and it fits and works like magic. Also since it's deep cycle battery, don't deep cycle it too often or else the battery will lose its efficiency. Its best to use only 25% of the 125 amp then charge it to full again.

Anyway the battery came in perfect condition and there was a charge in it already. I am planning to buy 2 more of these to increase my solar capacity.

love the fact that they don't need to be vented like acid batteries well packed have these hooked up to 2 DM 158w Monocrystalline Solar Panels and a Exeltech XP1100 12-volt 1100 watt sine wave inverter (USA Made) combined they have been running my refrigerator for a week now the batteries haven't run low enough to make the inverter shut down all 3 are great products so far.

Although I have not received them yet, I can say from the specs and info I've read, they will be perfect for my incoming 300w/30a solar setup and 3kw inverter. I ordered 4 as a dependable bank for my off-grid needs.

Update 9/5/13 Arrived this morning in pristine condition. Individually boxed and was placed in another palletized box. Still awaiting parts for full install but using a 1.8A trickle solar charger until then. 500ah setup with these beasts. Great to have them!
