I have a special interest car that only gets driven in fair weather 10 times a year. The battery was always low. It was a real pain to get the charger out and hook it up (the battery is under the rear seat) every time I wanted to take it out. Those days are over. With one quick disconnect of this little gem I am on my way in minutes rather than hours. Wish I had bought this a long time ago. I highly recommend it if you have similar circumstances.

This item charges up your 6 volt batteries just as described without overcharging.
Once a certain voltage is hit (7.6v range), the device cuts off the full charge, and drops down to a float charge (6.7v). This has been verified using a multimeter. The status LED lets you know exactly what's going on.

Keeping the battery minder hooked up all of the time keeps my old tractor ready to crank and work any time she is needed. This is a good product that saves aggravation and the need to jump start my tractor.

I currently own 6 12 volt models of this charger and have had no issues after numerous years of use. Recently bought a Honda CT90 which is a 6 volt system. The only way to keep the battery at full charge over extended periods is a good reliable trickle charger. I had to go with the best so a new Battery Tender Junior was the ticket.

I purchased one of these Deltran 6-volt tenders in 2009 for use on my Honda Trail 90. It worked fine that first winter. When I went to hook it up this past fall, it didn't work. To avoid the time cost and hassle, I didn't seek a warranty replacement, I just purchased another one of the same brand and model. When I went to hook it up, bad news. This one did not work right out of the package. I returned it to Amazon and received a prompt refund. I have four of the Deltran 12-volt battery tenders and they are all still working fine after four years. Don't know what the problem is with the 6-volt model but I will not purchase another one.
