As other reviewers reported, I also found that people to whom I speak are surprised that I am in a car. Clearly, the microphone does a great job picking up my voice, and the speaker in this unit is clear and loud. In fact, I have not tried the FM connection to my car radio because I am happy using it as-is. Also, the visor clip is adequate if you will be leaving the unit in the car. I am very happy that I bought this unit. If you are looking for a car-mounted hands-free speakerphone, I highly recommend the VM-605.

It took me several hours to figure out how to pair up my cell phone with this hands free Blackberry Bluetooth device.

The little instruction pamphlet that comes with the device is woefully inadequate. I had to down load the full instruction book from the Blackberry web-site to finally understand how to pair up the device with my cell phone.

Once I had the proper settings on both the Blackberry VM 605 and my Blackberry Curve 8330 so that they would recognize each other they paired up with no problem.

The instructions that come with the Blackberry VM 605 also don't tell you that the device will shut itself of after two minutes if you remove your paired cell phone from it's immediate vicinity.

Which means that if you leave your vehicle for more than two minutes with your phone, when you come back you have to remember to turn the VM 605 back on again so it will "re-pair" up with your phone.

The included car charger is not the greatest for charging the VM 605. I bought a compatible home charger and when the VM605 battery is in need of a charge I will just take it in the house and charge it via the home charger.

All in all since I got the VM 605 paired up with my Blackberry Curve 8330 i's been working great and I am happy with it.

before purchasing I investigated if the unit was strictly for blackberry phones and was advised that it was not. In fact, the unit was said to pair with most Bluetooth devices. This is simply not true. The unit would not pair with an at&t phone approximately 1 year old from the time of becoming retail available.

there is no info from Blackberry that lists compatible phones and no recourse for trouble shooting the phone involved (Eternity)

Be sure to confirm compatibility if not a BB unit.

I bought this unit to stream music, GPS, and calls via bluetooth from my iPhone 4s in my car that does not have Bluetooth or aux compatibility. I am very impressed on how easy the device is to use and How well it works. I commute about 50kms to work and the fm signal stays strong with no interference. When the gps speaks directions from the phone, the music stops and gps app gives directions (Tom Tom), then the music kicks back in. By pressing the main button for one second the unit beeps and engages Siri which will send and read text messages, send email, or voice command all functions on the phone, ie I can say play maroon 5 one more night and the phone plays the song via the device into the fm station flawlessly. Amazing technology and a very well designed unit from blackberry (RIM). Much cheaper than fancy stereo add ons or a new deck which most don't support voice apps like gps or Siri.

I'm pleased with my spekerphone. It's very simple to use and has a very good sound with it's built in speaker. Also, if I use it with my car radio, it's great to listen to music from my bb phone. The battery is great, I don't have to charge it more than once a week.
