I bought one of these after seeing it mounted on a friend's motorcycle. It worked well for me, until I took the phone off during a track day (over 100 mph speeds) and inadvertantly left the power adaptor on the cord, which proceeded to fly off somewhere on the Portland International Raceway track! No way was I able to go back and find it, so I thought I was going to have to buy a whole new mount, just to get an iPhone adaptor that would fit to the special power cord. Upon calling Vega directly, they informed me they don't have replacement parts stocked for these, but the guy did all sorts of searching for options. He found a returned bracket (with an unrelated problem) and proceeded to send me a replacement adaptor, only charging for the shipping! They didn't have to do that. They aren't really set up for such transactions, but they did it anyway. I would buy anything else I might need from this company; they are the type of company with whom I like to deal.

I have mixed reviews on this product. While i love the idea of it note:

1) it does NOT have the iPhone 5 Adapter

2) it does NOT have the droid adapter

It seems to hold the phone well. I had a HTC DNA which is mamoth in size and it held it fine even in harsh wind.

I guess the biggest downfall is yes its plastic and the adapters it comes with for the phone are completly outdated. I know a bunch of people with an iphone 4 so basically that is the only adapter worth anything in the pack.

everyone else... get ready to spend an extra 10 bucks for the one you need.

When plugging in the iPhone 3gs, message displays "Not Charging"

The parts are cheap injection molded plastic. It looks like a good idea until the thing rattles apart from the vibration of the motorcycle and your cell phone falls off.

This is not worth the money.

Great idea but has broken twice now! The manufacture has been great though, they have replaced the buckle twice for free. It's a great idea but the plastic body just doesn't do well with the vibrations from my bike.

I purchased this product and installed it on my 2012 Street Glide and was very impressed with it. It's GREAT to be able to use your iPhone as an extra heads up disply and the system charges your phone at the same time. 30 days after purchase / install the button broke that you push when removing the phone. The local Harley dealership I purchased it from ordered me another one and replaced it for me. This last weekend the iPhone adapter came apart in my hands when I was plugging it into my phone. I am not sure if these quality issues are wide spread but I would like to get an extra iPhone adapter so I am not down if this one breaks. I cannot seem to find any contact information for the manufacturer of the Echo handlebar phone mount.
