Purchased this to replace my existing Sony Ericsson car charger of the same model. I had the original charger 2+ years without any issues. I live in humid Florida, and did NOT have issues with corrosion building up and preventing an easy/successful connection to the phone. I used this initially with my K790a, now the C905. The initial charger was broken due to my own fault (wires were smashed one too many times running out of the center console/armrest compartment.

This is a nice charger. This is my second charger in about 5 years as the first one became brittle from the heat and cracked in half.

Bought this to use with a C905A. Worked great and the little LED light on the connector is a bonus at night when you're in the car. Unfortunately, Sony cheaped out on the cable and it failed within 6 months of purchase. I took it apart and found both tiny wires had broken off the circuit board...so I soldered them back on and used it for another two months before it broke again. There is no strain relief on the phone connector end so expect it to happen to you too if you use this more than once every few months.

I'm giving two stars for the concept but geez...what a bad product.
