I've used this 12v charger on a 2012 MacBook Air 11, 2012 Air 13, and a MBP 15 Retina. All three charge just fine with this, although the MBP does charge slower since it's only a 45 watt charger. I use this on a boat where my battery voltage is anywhere from 11.8v (discharged battery bank) up to 14.5v (charging), and this charger worked like a charm with these and all voltages in between! Why does this matter? I've used some 12v computer chargers in the past where they expected a perfect 13.8v, as one might expect to see in a car that is running with the alternator outputting a charge. On a boat or RV where you're fully on battery most of the time, the voltage varies quite a bit. Other chargers I've used got funky if the voltage isn't 13.8v and won't fully charge my computer. I haven't seen that problem at all with this charger, so this gets 5 stars from me.

Does what it says and does it well. I have the newest Macbook Air i5 and it fits perfectly. The 12v plug end has a soft blue light to let you know its on. This might annoy some people when it is pitch black but I like it because it lets you know its on and in a car bouncing around things come loose now and then. The other end that plugs into the computer also has a soft light that changes color to let you know its charging and turns green when its done. This light is very soft and shouldnt annoy anyone. I also love the extra USB port. I use that for my iphone. Great product for the price.
