The Xtreme Charge 12 volt Battery Charger is the best charger I have owned and I have had many over the past 45 years! I have owned this charger for over two (2) years and it works flawlessly. I charge batteries for my truck, car, boat, motorcycle, two (2) riding lawnmowers and deep cycle batteries for my RV. This charger has LED indicator lights giving you current charging status of your battery. As it charges... the charger sends pulse waves through the battery that cleans the plates in the battery. The cleaning of the plates adds longevity to the battery. I have had very expensive battery chargers that were suppose to shut off when the battery was fully charged. I had a battery that was a few years old... the plates were slightly corroded and the battery would not completely charge. So, my new charger (now old)kept charging until the battery got so hot it warped the plates inside the battery and started melting the top of the battery! That is when I began to shop for another charger and found the Extreme Battery Charger. I can trust this charger to be left on for days and even weeks without getting the battery too hot and the pulse system has been great for extending the life of my batteries!

I bought this charger after my old (already past 5 yrs warrenty) battery died and could not be jumped. A friend of nine, Jack, told me he had used this charger for many years and increased the battery life by several times. I was not sure about that at first. So I ordered this this charger from Amazon while also bought a new battery as a back-up. I used this charger to charge the dead battery, but could not get over 50% for the 1st 24 hrs. I thought there was no hope but still let the charger on the battery for 2 more days. Suddenly, I got 100% charged! I then used the reactived battery for a while, no issues at all, so I returned the new battery, which saved me about $100. When I rechargeed the battery a few months later, it quickly got to 100% from about 75% (in a few hrs), similar to a relatively new battery, which also needs about a couple of hrs to get to 100% from normally about 75%.

This charger is the most effective I have ever used in its ability to recover sulfated batteries. It is slow but does not damage the battery. The charger uses different methods to charge and is very effective and very simple to operate. I am very pleased to have this technology to use as it will save me from spending a lot on new batteries as replacement intervals will be greatly increased. Very cool stuff when used within its limits.

Unit is run on a pulse basis. It automatically keeps your battery at the level it needs to function correctly when not in use. Mainly keeping the plates for getting coated and breaking down. I own a number of them and they have done a great job in keeping my batteries in shape over a number of winters of being idle.

This is a great product! I replaced an old battery tender with this charger and have not been disapointed at all. It is also faster than the old charger and lets you know the curent state of each battery as soon as you hook it up.
