this is a great product because there is no splicing required and all you need is a screw driver to attach the motor leads. this is good because i didn't want to have to cut and splice my trolling motor wires and void my warranty in the process. i just leave the extension cable connected to my trolling motor because it is easier to connect and disconnect this cable at the battery terminals. it is a good quality cable that is marine grade and uses solid, thick gauge wires.

i am using this with a minnkota c2 endura 30 lb thrust trolling motor on a 17' aluminum canoe. i have a group 27 deep cycle marine battery and place that in a "plain" battery box. because there are fuses built into the cable i don't need a "fancy" battery box with fuses built into the box (eg: MinnKota Trolling Motor Power Center) . although the cable is a little pricey, i saved money on the battery box.

The wiring in this product is not your generic 14 gauge run of the mill wiring. It is sound, shielded and one of the best cable combinations I have installed (I have installed on every boat). Quality gold connectors have resisted corrosion since installed and would recommend to anyone wanting to extend their wiring
