There is a review on google in which the reviewer said it didn't work. I just want to say that mine works fine. It charges my phone and Ipod touch well. It's also built more solidly than I expected. The plastic is hard, and the metal is thick. It bounces around in a cupholder among spare toll change when not in use. Still works after a few months.

This is a great small converter and the pilot light indicating power is very useful. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a 12 volt to USB converter.

This is an inexpensive device than provides a USB port in the car. It is small and fits any lighter socket. In addition the LED on the front provides visual evidence that it is working. However, the current output is a bit too low for an iPhone5. It takes 2-3 times longer to charge than at your computer or a home outlet charger.

This is a small and simple adapter for charging USB devices in your car. It has a red LED light to indicate that it is plugged in properly and receiving power from your cigarette adapter, and a single standard USB type-A receptacle (USB cord not included). My only complaint is that it supplies 700mA of power, which means that your device will probably take 2-3 times longer to completely charge in the car than if it was plugged into an outlet in your home. But considering the inexpensive price, this is a great value for all but the most power-hungry road warriors.
