This is a very nice product, but the directions point out that if someone presses the Test Button while the trailer is hooked up to the truck, then the electrical charge sent through the wire to the truck can destroy your trailer-break controller. If the elves doing the yearly state inspections can't keep their hands off the test button, I may have to replace this nice break-away switch with one without a test button!

Pretty easy to install. Directions are clear. Lead wires twice as long would be nice though. I bought this to replace an older VERY similar unit that was sun bleached and started to fall apart. I don't believe the older unit was UV protected. I'm hoping this one lasts more than 2 years.

Exactly what I needed when I added/replaced the brakes on my trailer. Mine did not have the Break-Away System on it. Good instructions so it was easy to hook up into the wiring system. Great Value too, would recommend to anyone needing.
