The battery extender with 2 to 4 sets of rechargeable AA batteries will enable me to use my Garmin 1490T GPS continuously for an entire day (12+ hrs) of sightseeing on foot or using mass transportation. I'm housing the GPS and battery extender in a small zippered hard shell case for easy handling and storage.
