I received this charger a few days ago, and really like it. I used to have a no name micro usb charger for my phone, and it was only 500mah, which for non-techies means that it charges very slowly. This charger charges very fast even on the 1A port. It has 2 ports a 1A, and a 2.1A. I recommend the 2.1 A port for ipads and tablets, and to charge your device a little quicker. If you dont need a very quick charge, the 1A port will still charge most phones in an hour and a half from dead to full.
UPDATE 3/22: This charger worked well for a little while but quit charging on me today. Lowering my review to 2 stars.
UPDATE 4/12RAVpower quickly contacted me after posting my update and sent me a new one at no cost. Back up to 4 stars.

My minivan has two power outlets up front so I can usually charge up two devices at once, or charge my phone and run a GPS or my kids DS chargers. However, there are times that we are all vying for power in the car. This dual charger offers a great solution to allowing two devices to charge at one time. You supply the USB cables for your device and plug them into the car charger. There are a lot of car chargers out there, but what makes this one worth buying?
1) There are 2 USB ports
2) Of the two ports, one is 2.1amps, one is 1amp. That means you can charge BOTH an iPad/tablet AND a phone at the same time
3) Mat black finish is applied where cables are unplugged a lot to keep from scratching. (yes this is just a cosmetic feature, but it makes everyone feel better when there electronics don't get scratched!)
4) Replaceable fuse
This car charger simply does what it states. It will charge any device through USB while your 12V plug on your car is on. It provides users with the ability to use GPS pas in their car without completely draining there battery when they get to their destination
What would make this product better?
The only thing I would change is that I would like a switch on the side of each USB port that allowed you to change the power output. The reason is that it would be nice to be able to charge 2 iPads/tablets at once or 2 phones at once. YES you can charge your phone with a 2.1 amp output, but I'm not sure that it's too good for your battery.
Would you buy it for a friend/recommend it?
WITHOUT A DOUBT!! At the price point, one cannot go wrong buying this product. RAVPower makes great products and you should not hesitate to order. Take a look at some of the reviews here; people that have issues got a complimentary replacement. That's the sign of a true customer oriented company.

After coming across a problem with the USB cables that came with the packages, I contacted the company about my issue. They were able to resolve my issue by sending me two replacement cables that work perfectly fine.Excellent customer service as they respond pretty quickly as well.

I have tried several car chargers and many of them did work but not as great and as fast as this one.Have had it for a couple of weeks now.
No complaints and looks great!
maybe the only thing I would change is how big it is... Make it a bit smaller would not be bad for it.
