I have Aux input in my car, and my aux output on my iphone was getting a bit unpredictable as I was putting it on and off on my old iPhone 3GS, the phone got damaged because of overuse. So I was searching for a replacement and found this. I also needed to charge my phone, as I spend many hours on the road, taking calls.

This product received very quickly, and in good quality. I put it in my car, and I noticed a peculiar behavior with the charging when the ignition is turned partially, so only the battery is on (but the engine is not), the phone charges. As soon as the engine turned ON, it would not charge. Sometimes I have to connect it after the engine is on. I tried to find a pattern but failed as it charges sometimes, and doesn't sometimes. Luckily I picked up a cigarette lighter USB device from a conference, and I used it and it charges ALL the time now. So looks like the cigarette lighter device is not of good quality.

I had no problems with sound sound always worked great. The sound quality is very good no complaints at all.

In the past, with the aux comign from the top of the phone, and charger at the bottom, I could not put my phone in the cup-holder :( But with this device, since the top of the phone is free, I can put my phone upside down in the cup holder while listening to music, at the same time, charging the device.

Overall I am happy, thanks to the extra cigarette lighter device I have.

This adapter does the job and looks quite nicely. I've been using it with iPhone 4S (for stereo connection via Aux Audio and for recharging) and with the New iPad (just for recharging) with no issue. Product was shipped from HK, but was amazingly faster to be delivered. Totally satisfied.

Didn't do what I'd hoped it would. Thought it would play music from my iPhone through my car WITHOUT an auxiliary port. Alas, it does not. Oh well. Never hurts to have a spare car charger for my phone.
