I bought it because I don't use a vehicle that often and the battery kept discharging. Im talking about not using the vehicle for a period of 1-2 months. This product is great for that. I own an optima battery and this does the job that I expect it to do.
I would recommend it to anyone that owns optima batteries or even regular batteries. It is designed for optima batteries but has a feature for any other batteries.

Five Stars is an understatement. This is by far the best battery tender I have owned, including snap on, and all the others I have used. Once you try this charger, you will order another to keep in your other car, and send your friends to buy one and solve their dead battery problems. I had two dead Optima batteries that I tried to bring back with no success, I put this charger on, and the next day the battery was like new. Thanks Optima for a fantastic product.
