I've only used it once thus far but it does the job. In a couple of hours I went from a less than 10% charge to more than 50%. Since I usually plug my iPad in at bedtime I have a full charge by the time I get up. So it works for me and cost is somewhere between 1/2 and 2/3 of an official iPad charger. This charger didn't come with a cord. From what I read in other reviews you need to be careful when buying cords because quality varies greatly and will have a major effect on charging, but as I said no problems thus far. I will update this review if I have any problems with quality or longevity of the charger.

I own 2 of these now and they charge my devices very fast, the only thing I dont like is the extremely bright red LED, I remedied the problem with a black piece of duct tape. please remove the red LED it stays lit with the USB cord is plugged or unplugged so im not sure what its purpose is.

I purchased the charger for my ipad2 hoping to get a rapid charge -as advertised. It looks good and works fine as a regular charger just not quick enough for me.
