It's awesome.. for a couple of weeks (one lasted almost a month). Then it dies. Not just the lights.. but none would even charge. I purchased two.. and then got two replacements.. so 4 out of 4.. lemons. The design is fabulous and fun, the actual product.. sucs :(

So my cable worked for 3 weeks and then it sporatically worked for 1 week, now it wont charge either my wife's or my iPhone.

So i contact Dexim to ask them what they want to do.

They contact me saying they are going to send me a UPS shipping label via email to print off and return the damaged unit.

I never received the mail, i check my junk mail and my spam box on my email account. I asked the customer service rep to send it to an alternative email address, same thing.

I believe they never sent the email and they have no intention of offering me a replacement cable.

So Dexim's response is "f-you" and buy another one.

Ive learned my lesson, I'll NEVER buy a Dexim product ever again, complete crap product, and worse customer service.

Buyers be warned.

If there was a zero star rating, this would have got it. It was cool though, the ONE time it ever lit up. Tried customer service on their website, no responses.

I bought this for my son's birthday in April. Lots of fun, the light is great and it was a big hit. Now suddenly it has stopped working. The cord lights up for about thirty seconds when plugged into the wall but the devices I've tried it in don't charge (iPad, iPhone 4 and an iPhone 4s).

This is very disappointing as it was not inexpensive. Tough to rate something well when it does not last more than 2 months.

This cable does exactly what it's advertised to do. It charges our iPhones very well and adds the very cool charging effect. The cable is "stiff" but not overly so. The USB connector is a bit longer than you'll be used to but I don't have a problem with it.

I was so pleased with this charge cable that I also purchased the Black/Purple one

No complaints. We'll see if it holds up longer than the Apple cables in our house (will update if anything changes)

UPDATE 5/10/12:

The Black/Purple one has stopped working after less than 3 months. It was primarily used on the desk so it wasn't moved much that would have damaged the cable.

The White one is still working like a champ though.

Waiting to hear from Amazon about a replacement or refund on the Black/Purple cable.

UPDATE 7/10/12:

None of these still work. 1 fell from the table to the floor and busted open. It charged for a short while longer but the LEDs never worked again. The other 2 just stopped working for no apparent reason.

These are VERY cool and people LOVE them when they see it in action. They are NOT very durable though. I can't afford to replace this cable every few months.
