BUYER BEWARE: The cable is no longer supported when I plug it in to my iPhone. I receive a message that says, "This cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this iPhone.

It does not charge my phone at all, and of course this happens 3 days after my return policy ends.

Cord not compatible with iPhone 5, not only does it say "not supported by Apple" the lightning side of the plug is junk and has to be wedged against something to get it to stay charging! Terrible buy from a name brand company, back to my OG white apple cords.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program The 2.1 AMP chargers give you the charging power of your iPhone wall outlet chargers on the go. Initially, I scoffed at the price for these high AMP chargers and bought a 1 AMP car charger. Since my ride to work in less than 20 minutes, I would probably get 10% more charge off the 1 AMP charger, but with this 2.1 AMP charger, I manage to juice up about 25%. The really cool part of this charger is that I can pull out the USB cable and continue charging my phone via my laptop USB port.

The charger is similar in design to the Griffin PowerJolt Dual Universal USB Car Charger for iPhone, iPod, PDA, Cellphone, MP3 robust construction but bulky, though I am unsure of the need of such a large case (almost 2x) when Scosche has managed the same in a slimmer profile SCOSCHE usbc202m VOLT c2 Dual 10 Watt (2.1A) USB Car Charger Car Charger Retail Packaging Black

The charger has a dull blue bezel which keeps lit when the charger is plugged in. I prefer this for night driving over the single LED. I also like the new low-profile negative (outer) terminal design. No more accidental snagging and ripping the terminal out of the charger. It also helps with a smoother insertion and removal from the power outlet.

The lightning connector is well designed and fits most cases without any issue (check images above)

At current market prices this slightly bulky dual 2.1 AMP USB charger is better value than any other single 2.1 AMP USB charger.

Pros:

* 2 USB Port with 2.1 AMP / 10 Watts per port

* Solid feel to the product. Well built and sturdy parts charger, cable and lightning connector

* Included USB Lightning cable

* Fast charging almost as fast as a wall outlet charger. Approx 2.5 hours for a full charge

* Well designed lightning connector fits most cases without any issue

Cons:

* Pricey at $35 but not too expensive at current market rates for a dual (or single) 2.1 AMP charger with a reliable, detachable Lightning cable

* Bulky design

* The charger has a dull blue bezel that remains on when the charger is connected. It seems inefficient to power the gremlins. I have old USB car chargers that turn-off when a device is not plugged in, light up Red when charging and Green when fully charged I paid less than $10 for those chargers

* For a car, I prefer a coiled cable like this one, just keeps things compact Griffin Tech PowerJolt SE Coiled Lightning Car Charger for iPhone 5, Touch 5G, Nano 7G

Honest reviews on Belkin 2-Port Car Charger with Lightning to USB Cable for iPhone 5

The charger itself works fine, but the cable died on me within a few weeks!! What a joke! I spent more money on a better rated item, but the cable dies quickly! I plug it in and it is on the fritz, charging for 2 minute then randomly stops then charging again, then randomly stopping. SO FRUSTRATING!!! I know it is not the charger because everything else works in the charger and when I plug the cable into a computer or an outlet converter, it still craps out! GRR!!!

This works fine and charges my iPhones/iPads at the same time, but my iPhone 5S gives a strange message "This accessory is not designed to work with this device" or something. It seems to work fine for now.
