I needed a set of jumper cables for my home and for my automatic vehicle. To me build quality of the clamps and the cable itself is important. Also a decent enough gauge that allows for a variety of jump-start situations as well as a decent length to the cable itself. There have been situations where I simply cannot maneuver a car into a specific location due to the jumper cables being too short. With longer cables this problem is avoided. I purchased this item and have used it more than once with no problems. I recommend you purchase one for each vehicle because for the money, the value cannot be beat. And I recommend you never purchase cables that do not come in a bag. Makes storage a breeze and keeps the cables from getting damaged.

I purchased two sets of these for my twin grandchildren as a Christmas gift. When they opened them they were surprised as they both just recently purchased their own cars.
