This is my second travel charger that I have owned from Proporta. The first one I owned was the "Ted Baker" designer edition. I really liked it when I first got it, in fact I loved it. I didn't think it could get much more of an improvement at the time, but after seeing the new TubroCharger 3400 I stand corrected. Here are some of the things that I think make this Proporta's best charger. First the added charge measure. In this model you can push the center button and it will light up 5 blue dots based on how much power you have left in the device. Second the shape of the device is much thinner than the past one I owned and it has a curve which makes it easier to hold onto. Third the material that the TurboCharger is made out of is very nice. It's black and has a very grippy feel so you wouldn't ever have to worry about dropping it. These features were all things that I believe make this the best travel charger you can buy. It comes with a USB to everything converter. The plugs they provide will cover 95% of all electronics i'd say. If they don't provide you a head for the adapter that works for your electronic than you can always just plug your USB cable into the charger directly and it works just as well. Even better all of this comes in a nice cloth carrying bag.

We live in a world where our portable gadgets are more important than ever. Unlike most portable power packs, the Proporta has a 3400mAh battery this is two or three times more powerful than the battery inside your device, which means you can extend your mobile life up to three times beyond its normal use.

Using the device is as simple as your everyday charge you just plug your USB cable into it, and let it charge away. The reverse (charging the pack itself) is just as simple you plug it into any USB power source (your PC, your iPod/iPhone charger) or any other USB car or wall charger. No power adapter is included, but almost every household will have one or two chargers lying around nowadays.

There are several LED's on the front that show the charging status and remaining capacity (when not being charged).

The pack is lightweight and compact enough to pop in your handbag, pocket or laptop bag.

To clarify its capacity the pack is designed to charge low-power mobile devices, which means it won't charge a laptop or anything else that can't be charged using USB. Thankfully, almost any mobile device can be charged over USB nowadays, including the PSP, Nintendo DS consoles, most phones and PDA's and many GPS units.

All in all a very worthy investment I purchased mine directly from the retailer, but as you can see, Amazon is now also a retailer.

The unit comes with a retractable USB cable AND an assortment of power tips (MiniUSB, MicroUSB, Sony-Ericsson, Nokia , Nintendo DS Lite and iPod). I don't know of any other brand that comes with this many tips and I have tested quite a lot of them in the past, on a quest for the perfect portable charger, so this is yet another pro.

I have had an iPhone for a couple of months and I travel frequently and when I travel I always bring the Proporta USB TurboCharger 3400 World Pack with me. The World Pack includes World AC Power and Car Power Supply (with USB). The 3400 allows me to charge it overnight with a standard USB and to recharge my iPhone or my wife's iPod Touch twice. It comes with several tips (MiniUSB, MicroUSB, Sony-Ericsson, Nokia , Nintendo DS Lite and iPod). The weight is light enough to fit both the TurboCharger and my iPhone into one pocket. I highly recommend this item for anyone that travels and could use more power for their device.

This is a great portable battery/charger that can double or triple your time spent away from a wall charger. With a honkin' 3400mAh capacity, it is capable of recharging most smartphones (2x ~1500mAh) twice and hungrier tablets perhaps once. The LED readout on the battery allows you to quickly determine how much battery power remains, or how much longer the battery needs before it is fully charged. Think of it less as an "emergency" charger but instead as an extended battery for anything that charges or can be powered by USB. Pair it with a solar charger for the ultimate in geek chic and road warrior capabilities.

Just put Android on my HD2 which makes that phone so much more usable than Winmo, the downside is since you are using it you drain the battery. I travel extensively and find this a great little gadget to carry along. It's brain dead simple to use and will supply an entire days worth of power to the phone, no complaints whatsoever. Works with anything that will accept USB power which are most toys now. No more looking behind the seats at the airport trying to find the lone power outlet.
