I am on my phone almost 12 hours straight every day for work. I bought this to keep my iPhone charging through out my work day. I plan on buying a second one, and using my iSound Power max with 16,000 mAh battery, but that is too heavy to carry. So I will be using it to charge these little batteries, so I will always have a fully charged battery available when the other one is exhausted.
UPDATE: This device only puts out 500 mA, so it will not properly charge an iPhone which requires 1 A or 1,000 mA. It is a good device, but underpowered for iPhone.

well, to start off, this product looks pretty cool. But when i received it, i charged it up and all the LED's lit up and when i held the side button, the flash light would come on. But if this product isn't plugged in the charger, IT WILL NOT WORK! this defeats the whole purpose of a "portable back up" battery. I tried many different ways on how to turn it on, i tried pushing both at the same time, tried the buttons separately, tried double clicking, it would not turn on unless plugged in its charger!

I bought it to charge my HTC Inspire, knowing it might not work due to the high power requirements. It will provide about a 30% charge. Since it did not work that well we used it with my wife's iPhone 3Gs. It worked a little better, with about a 50% charge. I will keep it around as an emergency backup to my emergency backup (that I am still shopping for).
