The only con is that it doesn't stay securely in the lighter socket. Its as if the spring at the tip is too strong. Otherwise this is a great product and can't be beat for the price!

If you advertise a product with a photo, you should deliver the product that is shown and not a substitute. The product delivered to me works but I bought the product because the replacement charger I was looking for matched that of the product shown in the advertised photo. This reflects on the seller and to me gives me the impression that they really do not care about the buyer by accurately managing the content of what they are selling online (product description and photo/images)and just want to get a sale.I have been using this for over a year now (to charge my phone) and have had no issues with it.

1st set box was doa and smelled, 2nd set box was doa but i found it had a blown fuse and replaced it. The auxiliary cable isn't working correctly jumping in and out of songs. This is very aggravating when riding. You would think this would be an easy fix but nope, the genius that designed this had the auxiliary cable hard wired into the amplifier. This system in completely useless to me. Purchased new and Clore Automotive refuses to replace DOA batteries. Clore Automotive said the dealer should have sold the product within six months of accepting delievery form the manufacture. Since the manufacture date was greater than six month the unit fail to qualify for manufacture warranty. I am now out $235 and Clore Automotive made a two time profit from me. I am now in the market for a new battery charger and you can bet it will not be another Clore Automotive manufacture defective un-warranty piece of junk.

The ES-6000 is indeed a powerful unit, but the case started breaking apart after a few years. First the sides where the battery clamps attach fell off, then the center handle broke off. The company refuses to sell replacement plastic case parts, and instead only offers a "refurbishment service" which costs as much as a new unit. With the clamp holders and handle missing, there is no place to safely store the the clamps (which are always "live"), thus making the unit in this condition extremely dangerous and unsafe to use.Best Deals for Truck PAC ES6000 3000 Peak Amp 12V Jump Starter
The first Jump box came via UPS and the shipping box was damaged. Inside, the heavy unit was cracked open.The seller replaced it immediately and I sent the other one back, no problem.
Cons: Like another reviewer mentioned, if you touch the cables together, it's gonna spark, big time. D'oh!
So, if common sense prevails, you don't touch the cables together.
On the pro side, I have used this to jump start a Tri-axle Mack truck in the dead of winter a few dozen times. When it's below freezing, I need to hook up a car in tandem, but it's a 1980 POS truck with 3 big batteries. In summer just the Truck Pac will start it. I've also used it to start 24 Volt excavators and loaders, but you need to be careful how you hook it up.
For cars, it'll start most everything, even at 20 below..
I actually run my old chevy plow truck, (with electric plow), directly from the jump box, rather then buy and install a new battery for the dozen or so times a year I use the plow.
I've had the Truck Pac 6000 for over 3 years and only last week did it not take a full charge. (I loaned it to an idiot neighbor who somehow hooked it up wrong and then ran it dead trying to start a big block car that was out of gas. Now it's only charging 70%.)
He cooked it to the point of the cables smoking. I think it's low on battery acid. I'll take a look inside and see what makes it tick.
Over all, it's a great thing to have and the long cables are nice. It's paid for itself many times over with all the vehicles it has jumped.

If you need a heavy duty commerical application jump pack, this is the one! The only down fall I can see is there is no on\off switch. I sold this unit to one of my fleet accounts, where there will be many different people useing it. They are worried about someone accidently hooking it up backwards or toutching the clamps together and causeing issues that nobody wants. Pico 6380pt 50amp Batt Cable Connector Reviews
I purchased 10 of these connectors so that I could make various adapters and extension cords to go between our on-board RV battery charger and the portable solar panels, wind / gas generator(s), and truck hitch connector when parked some distance from the trailer. A few of these are for spares and / or future additions to the setup. To keep line loses to a minimum, I used 10 gauge wiring and spent a lot time looking for a robust connector. Even though the most DC current I can put through them with my setup is 16 amps, the durability, wire size, and polarized connection were the key features for buying these. The Pico 50 amp connector has provided this functionality perfectly! As a very large added benefit, they are non gender connectors, meaning ALL cable ends have one of these and I can interconnect any adapter / extension cord combination that I want without ever getting into two of the same gender ends not connecting together situation! When connecting two together, there is a strong 'snap' interaction between them, leaving no doubt that they are connected securely. It does take some effort to pull them apart, but then again, that's exactly what I needed / wanted. So far these are holding up great in a RV-ing / camping environment. They have been rained on, stepped on, buried in dirt / mud, and connected / disconnected multiple times with no signs of wear. I highly recommend these! I ordered them Amazon, and they were delivered within a few days, Amazon rocks! BTW: the 10ga wiring I used is a 25 foot, heavy duty 10/3, 115VAC extension cord from the local hardware store that I cut the ends off of and re-terminated the bulk of the cable with the Pico connectors. That provides a durable, weather proof, flexible cable that is bright yellow to help prevent tripping over (and avoids being left behind because you didn't see it laying on the ground), and it was cheaper then buying 10/2 wire at $2+ per foot.
I used these to handle the power connections for a sub box which I occasionally need to move from one car to another, or to remove for more luggage space. They work great for that, and handle plenty of power for a moderately sized amplifier. The same company makes some larger connectors if you need more current capacity.
The only drawback I saw was that these are kinda hard to crimp if you don't have a heavy duty battery cable crimp tool (the kind that you usually have to hit with a hammer). I soldered the connectors onto the end of some wire instead; note that it takes a pretty healthy soldering gun (not some puny soldering iron) to heat these up. You can fit 8 gauge wire into the terminals really well; I think 10-12 gauge would actually be a little small / loose.

I haven't had a chance to use this yet, so I don't have any feedback on its use. However, I did want to be sure all you potential buyers read through the description more carefully than I did. Even though the description contains the word "Set," the set they refer to are the two metal contacts a set of contacts not a set of connectors. The retention mechanism for the connectors is firm, but you can disassemble afterwards if you need to do so. I bought the 12/24 jump and carry in 2005. I am a heavy equipment mechanic so the 24v has come in handy so many times to numerous to list. I have powered large inverters to power grinders and drills of of this thing. Pretty much everything you buy now if you don't treat it with velvet gloves its junk in a week. THIS PRODUCT IS NOT ONE OF THEM! I have not taken care of this thing at all and every year I expect the worst; It'll finally give up the ghost. Its been 7 years now and this year after sitting flat all winter inside the toolbox of my seldom used pickup I plugged it in last week and today I used it to start my diesel trencher and it worked as good as the day I bought it. The only negtive I can thing of is the way the handle that you pull out to switch voltage is orientated to the body. If the jumpstart gets banged around a lot the handle will break off. We gave it the test. Someone had left the key on the on position on a De icier truck. These trucks are use for deicing planes. They have to be up and ready in the before snow rolls in. We can't be tieing up another truck for a dead truck.We usually have to hook another truck to it and let it charge up for an hour. Or drag out the charger and electric cord which is very heavy. 150 ft cord.
Brought out the Jump and Carry, switch the plug to 24 volts. It kick over with no problem.
Did do some read up on it before buying. It does have a built in protection not to over charge the unit.
Con: manual say it has leds on it for charging. None on there so we don't know when its done charging.

I was a bit skeptical prior to purchasing this charger but I've now owned it for about 2 months and I've been very pleased with it's performance. The jumpstarter was purchased because my car failed to start on its own one very cold morning. I am on my phone almost 12 hours straight every day for work. I bought this to keep my iPhone charging through out my work day. I plan on buying a second one, and using my iSound Power max with 16,000 mAh battery, but that is too heavy to carry. So I will be using it to charge these little batteries, so I will always have a fully charged battery available when the other one is exhausted.
UPDATE: This device only puts out 500 mA, so it will not properly charge an iPhone which requires 1 A or 1,000 mA. It is a good device, but underpowered for iPhone.

well, to start off, this product looks pretty cool. But when i received it, i charged it up and all the LED's lit up and when i held the side button, the flash light would come on. But if this product isn't plugged in the charger, IT WILL NOT WORK! this defeats the whole purpose of a "portable back up" battery. I bought it to charge my HTC Inspire, knowing it might not work due to the high power requirements. It will provide about a 30% charge. Since it did not work that well we used it with my wife's iPhone 3Gs. It worked a little better, with about a 50% charge. I will keep it around as an emergency backup to my emergency backup (that I am still shopping for).
