I just got this external power delivered to me 15 minutes ago after the delivery man left. it came in this small brown paper back sealed with adhesive. inside the package contained bubble wrapping. the package did come on time, so yay me.

first impression (pro)

small, cute, lightweight, solid build despite the price.

i plugged this in my ipod touch 2g on 4.2.1 firmware jailbroken and it worked instantly. i automatically saw 2 out of the 4 led lights up indicating a charge. on the upper right corner, theres this key with a battery logo on it and if you press it, it indicates how much power is left in the unit (neat). my ipod can also charge while the unit is charging at the same time.

This device is about half the size of my ipod touch.

first impression (con)

the only con i can see so far is you can't listen to music via headphones of any kind while charging with it. the unit is too big and covers the jack....oh wells. for 6 bucks, you really can't ask for much.

there was this one review about this unit impossible to charge. i dont know much about that, but ill see what happens and post updates to you guys (if i know how to edit my reviews once published xD)

overall:

handy for on the go or forgot to charge. it's relatively big (half the size of an ipod), so you might have to charge it on a flat surface. its still small when you think about it. im not sure about power and how fast it can charge, because this this time, im trying to get it fully charge. 5/5 star atm...

Con:

-the device is fat and puts pressure to the ports on the pressure

-the battery button sucks. u need to push a little harder to read how much juice is in the unit.

update: 12/10/11

used it for about 5 times... the battery capacity def decreases over time, but still enough to bring 20% up to 100%

My first charger did not work at all! So I contacted the seller and they shipped me another one very quickly and apolozied for the one that was defective . The new one work ok my iPhone 4s however it does not charge it to a full 100 % as it should since it's advertised that the charger holds 1900 mAh of battery . It's good only in case you need an emergency charge until you get home and garage your iPhone n the outlet ! The seller was very good to deal with

The black one didn't work. And to be honest I just blew it off. Wrote a review as such. The company jumped in right away and within just 24 hours THEY made it right. I just finished charging the new one and it is white and works as best as I can make out. I like the seller and would use them just because they were the ones worried about the reputation no matter what the amount was to cover. They were the heros in this little power that could. Thanks again for the new charger!

You really do get what you pay for so I can't really complain! This product is terrible! I used it 3 times before it completely zonked out. The first time it managed to charge my phone (model: iphone 4) by 11%, the second time 7% and the last time just 3% and even then, I had to hold it in because it doesn't fit the charger slot properly (loose fit) so you need to apply pressure to make sure it is charging at all. If this worked it would be great as it's so convenient small enough to carry around in your purse to use in an emergency. Considering it was only $5 it's not worth the hassle of sending it back, but as it doesn't work I'll be shopping around for a portable battery charger with more positive reviews. I'll also pay that little bit extra to get a product of better quality! Don't waste your time and money, just pay a little bit extra for a more quality product to start with.

Works fine, but not with my Otter Box. This is the second of these that I ordered. The first work perfectly and DID work with my Otter Box. However, this one has a slightly shorter plug to mate with my iPhone and I must remove the Otter Box for it to properly connect. Other than that, it would have gotten 5 stars. Overall, GREAT product.
