I was happy to find an auto charger that was inexpensive, but since I've started using it I've encountered compatibility problems with the iPhone. After connecting it to the phone and the power outlet in the car, the phone often displays a message saying that the device is not appropriate for charging the iPhone. I noticed a tag on the charger that instructs the user to unplug the device before starting the vehicle. I have been diligent about this procedure, yet this charger displays a non-compatibility message about half the time when I use it. The message seems to appear more frequently when the battery is below 20% charged and less frequently when the phone has more than 50% charge. Unfortunately, this device came with no instructions or troubleshooting information. I can only hope it's not damaging my iPhone.

I was so excited when I read the other reviews about this being a great alternative to buying an expensive charger. It turned out that it is inexpensive but not an alternative! Charger light lit up when plugged in the car but would not even connect to my Iphone. I tried with two phones-no charging at all!

Do not buy! Waste of money.

Picked this up in a bundle with Otterboxes, and it would not work. It lit up when plugged in, but no charge.
