This kit was easy to use and works really well. The only suggestion I have is that the company should include a short piece of double-sided tape with the kit. Of course, it is possible to use the old piece, but for $23.95 (of which probably $10 is for the battery itself) a few cents for a tiny piece of tape would be nice.

I installed this battery in a Garmin 255W. I was attracted to the product because it said "Extended Life" battery, but after opening up the Garmin and replacing the battery, the original looks to be the same capacity of 1.25Ah (1250mAh).

The installation was quite easy (I only swore twice) because they include the tools and DVD movie instructions to do the job.

The dvd provided gave clear instructions on how to install the new battery, just pause it when you need to. Remember too that when you pry open the case, the sliding "on-off" switch will fall out (that's the little piece you see on the dvd). So be careful that you don't lose it and note it's position prior to splitting the case. A good deal.
