Keychain does what it shouldhold keys. Didn't need the car charger, so can't judge it, sorry everyone. But the home charger works great. My other was on its last leg, couldn't hold a charge worth a damn. This one gave a full charge, and quite quickly. I buy tons of gadgets and with the exception of a few products, it seems like most fall short of perfect. Not so here. Instead of little disappointments, I go a lot of little surprises that added up to a great experience from unboxing to actual use.

First off, I could actually open the package without getting scissors. When I looked inside, they gave me a bonus "in-car vent mounted cell phone holder". It's actually not cheesy and is something that I will use to park my phone while I make calls.

They also give you a AC and Car charger. Lots of companies like apple make you get this separately so I was happy that it was included.

OK, so all this is great, but how well does it work? I followed the easy directions to pair it with my Treo 680 and 30 seconds later I was making calls. I rang my wife in the car with the AC blasting and the window rolled halfway down to test it. We could hear each other no problem. I asked her if I sounded OK and she had no complaints.

I LOVE how releasing the mic turns the unit on. Brilliant. My only complaint is that the magnet that holds the unit to the visor clip is not as strong as I would like. You have to be a little careful when you press the mic back in or else it will start to rotate off the clip. I haven't been using this too long so we'll see how much of an issue this is.

By and large this product works as advertised. It connects wirelessly to your cell phone via bluetooth. Pairing is easy. The speaker phone is full-duplex so you can actually have a conversation with your counter-party. Battery life on standby is high. Professional reviews are favorable. So why not 5 stars?

The BlueAnt Supertooth Light is flawed. 1. Lacking a screen, there is no effective way to initiate calls from this unit. The Bluetooth implementation on the Garmin nuvi is vastly better in this regard, because it provides easy access to your cell phone's contact list and recent calls. 2. Noise reduction is ineffective. Unless you are stopped, the road and wind noise from your car can make it impossible for your counter-party to understand you. Due to 1 and 2, this handsfree speakerphone is for emergency incoming calls only. 3. The Supertooth attaches magnetically to a metal sunvisor clip. It is easy to install, but also easy to accidentally knock off when you adjust the sun visor. 4. On the Supertooth a blue light flashes when the Supertooth is connected to your cell phone. This is okay during the day since you don't notice it. But at night it is insanely annoying to have a flashing blue light on your sunvisor, prominently in your field of vision. The flashing blue light is so irritating that I keep my Supertooth turned off at night and only turn it on when my phone starts ringing. At that point, its a race between Supertooth start-up/pairing and my cell phone provider's transfer to voice mail. Sometimes the Supertooth wins and I get the call; sometimes it looses and I have to return the call.

Bottom line. The flashing blue light and poor noise cancellation are so annoying that I had decided to return this unit. Then I received an incoming call and I thought that even with all its flaws I'd rather just push a button on my sun visor than fumble with my cell phone while driving. If the Nokia HF-300 were available today, I would return my BlueAnt and try that. But it's not so I guess I'll keep the BlueAnt.

I was really tired of having to use a handsfree device while driving my car. The Bluetooth earpiece used to give me headaches and was just generally uncomfortable. I saw the BlueAnt Supertooth advertisement, and thought that I would give it a try. I cannot put into words just how happy I am with this device. I connected it to my Motorola Razr, the setup was a snap. Now when I get into my car, I merely have to turn on the BlueAnt, and it automatically connects with the Razr. With my other device, I had to scroll through several menus on the cell phone to get the two devices to pair up. Plus what I found to be even better, was the sound quality. The speaker delivers crisp, clear sound, and the people that I'm talking to are often surprised when I tell them that I'm using a handsfree device. The sound quality at both ends is that clear.

I am on my second BlueAnt Supertooth Handsfree Speakerphone. You have to push that mic arm in to turnoff and pop it out to turn it on. I had it about three months when the mic arm stopped going in, which made it unuseable. It was still under warranty. I contacted the company and I had to send it back at my expense. About six weeks later they sent me a replacement. I have had that for about three weeks and today the mic won't stay in again. There is something very wrong with this product. I need a refund. I don't recommend you buy one, unless you just want to throw your time and money away.

I have been using the BlueAnt Supertooth speakerphone for over two months, and have not yet had to charge it. Every time I notice that I didn't turn it off again, and expect it will finally need a charge, it is still working fine.

It was very easy to setup with a Treo. I've lost the directions, but it's so easy to use that I just press the buttons until it reconnects. Everyone I talk to over this phone can hear me perfectly. I have to turn the volume down when I'm listening to people with loud voices. So, good sound quality.

There is a blinking blue light on while the phone is connected to your cell phone. The blue light seriously annoyed me for a couple days, but it just seemed to disappear after that because I got used to it.

It is very sturdy metal, and it looked like it would hurt if it hit my head during a collision. My visor seems to be close to my head. So, I put the speakerphone on the side of the visor away from me, towards the roof of the car. Doesn't matter sound is still strong incoming and outgoing.

Easy to use, good quality sound, super long lasting battery charge, not too expensive.

I have been using my BlueAnt Supertooth speakerphone for over 21 months now, and it is still excellent. I have tethered it to a series of phones: Nokia, Blackberry, Samsung and back to Nokia, and briefly a Motorola. Just keep changing my mind, or work changes theirs, someone is always changing my phone. No problem. I don't know how to work my Supertooth, so whenever I get a new phone, I just press the buttons until somehow the phone and the Supertooth connect. Why waste time on the manual when I can get it done faster by guessing, is my practice.

And the battery goes and goes and goes. I can count on one hand the times I have charged this speaker in the past almost two years. It seems impossible. I don't know if I just got a freakishly good battery or what. This thing just goes and goes and goes. And I don't remember to turn it off, but doesn't matter.

And the sound is so good that if I drive below the speed limit on the freeway, which of course I always do!, then people can't even tell I'm in a car. At a standstill with no motion sounds, people can't tell I'm on a speakerphone. In a pinch, I have used this speaker to make conference calls for business meetings. The sound quality is that good.

In all honesty, I think it's kind of cool looking in a slick, black, modern way, but I also think it's kind of ugly. I mean it's not pink. And not cute. And I am so ready to get a new, cute speaker for my cell phone. But I can't! Because this thing just keeps working perfectly, almost never needing a recharge, sounding excellent. No one has ever stolen it. I leave it in at valet parking and car washes and in hotel parking lots. No one wants this unsexy, workhorse.

If you just want a terrific product that does what it is supposed to do exceptionally well, and don't mind that it won't break and no one wants to steal it, that you are just stuck with it for god only knows how long, saving money, having Mr. Dependable Speaker always ready, then go ahead and get this. But it is really seriously not cute at all.

I bought it because it's cheap. I bought it because it can sit on the dashboard of my car and charge. I bought it so I could sit by the pool and soak up free energy at the same time.

The day I bought it, it rained. It rained the next day too. I was SO disappointed. The charger did not charge.

Now that it's sunny, I can say that it does charge. SLOWWWLY. . .I'd say it takes two days with average sun. And, it must be fully charged before it can discharge to charge your device.

Been thru a handful of these and this is the first one that actually works out of the box, perfect for keeping on the dash and small enough to tuck in your bag. I supplement this with the AA charger for emergencies and it hasn't let me down yet. Don't waste your time with other ones, you'll just be throwing your money away like I did.

I have tried out 3 different battery packs/cases for my phone but this definitely is the only one I ended up keeping. It's small and convenient and I like how the charger even has a connection for your lighting usb cord so you can charge your phone and the battery at the same time! it gives me about 40% battery (if I'm not constantly texting or having tons of apps open as i usually do). I have no problem recommending this product. It has worked as advertised and met all my expectations. The pricing is a little high, but as I've learned (read my Zoombak disaster) you get what you pay for. I keep this device in an enclosed trailer for some added security, and when the battery gets low, you are notified. You have unlimited locates, and the shock and perimeter functions work flawlessly as well.

This is the first time I've found such a huge discrepency and I will remember to double check Ebay in the future!

I've had it for a couple days now. The battery only lasted a day or two and takes a long time to charge. So I paid Best Buy $100 to have it hard wired directly to the battery in the car my 16 year daughter is using (and my 14 year old son is lusting after). I thought of just clipping the car charger plug off and wiring it myself to the car wiring. Luckily, I did not try this as the plug contains a resistor. The proper way is to buy a female plug that you wire (either always on or just on when the vehicle is on) and permenantly plug the male end into it. Best Buy did a great job of hiding it.

The couple days I've had it has tracked great! It will show the position every ten minutes or you can get continous tracking for ten minute intervals. It show location, speed and direction of the vehicle.

It's pricey at $300 plus $180 for on-line tracking. But after reading all the problems with the competing device, I am very glad I bought this one so far.

It has an arm function that is supposed to alert you by email and by text message to your cell phone if the car is moved. It can be armed from the computer after the car is supposed to be home for the night. This function is not currently functioning on my unit. I emailed tech support today and hope to follow-up here if they respond.

The arm function is great for kids that might make a unauthorized copy of the key and sneak out for a midnight joy ride (not that we parents ever did that smile).

But even if the arm function does not work, I can always have the website plot where the car has been for the last day or for several days and pick up any unauthorized activity.

I think it's cheap for the peace of mind of knowing where my kid and the car are and how fast they are driving!

Ok I have had this for a few days and had my daughter track me while I was out of town and driving around California.

So far it has performed exactly as I had expected and I am pleased.

Things I like are real time tracking so you can put the unit on a vehicle and follow its movements

There is a slight lag and the position when not moving is not perfect. It will give the position to about 15-20 feet,

ie it will show the car parked 2-3 parking spaces away from where it actually is parked in a typical parking lot.

It will also give you a route history and the interface is easy to use.

I have not put the battery time to the test yet. That is what I will do for the next few days.

Good solid product. Worth the money.

Buy it you wont be disappointed.

I've tried a number of different car chargers. Some last, some don't. Some are really bulky, others are flimsy. This is a solidly built, two USB port charger. When plugged in securely, it illuminates in the middle with a gentle blue LED. I've been using it for a few weeks now for a hands free headset and my cell phone with no trouble at all.

It stays put and doesn't pop out too easily but will pull out when given the right amount of effort.

It has a sleek, smooth, white finish and is small enough to keep in a car pocket, glove compartment or center console.

Overall, a good product at a nice price. I was provided a unit for evaluation and an honest review.

Background:

I have purchased a lot of car chargers in the past. One of the biggest issues I had is that after a week or so, the ports would become really loose and your devices would only charge if you got the adapter in the perfect position. Just from opening the package and holding this adapter, I can tell that it is much better quality than ones I have used in the past.

There are a lot of car chargers out there, but what makes this one worth buying?:

Pros:

1) There are 2 USB ports

2) Of the two ports, one is 2.1amps, one is 1amp. That means you can charge BOTH an iPad/tablet AND a phone at the same time

3) Mat grey finish is applied where cables are unplugged a lot to keep from scratching. (yes this is just a cosmetic feature, but it makes everyone feel better when there electronics don't get scratched!)

4) EXTREMELY SMALL

Cons:

1) No replaceable fuse

This car charger simply does what it states. It will charge any device through USB while your 12V plug on your car is on. It provides users with the ability to use GPS aps in their car without completely draining there battery when they get to their destination

What would make this product better?

The only thing I would change is that I would like a switch on the side of each USB port that allowed you to change the power output. The reason is that it would be nice to be able to charge 2 iPads/tablets at once or 2 phones at once. YES you can charge your phone with a 2.1 amp output, but I'm not sure that it's too good for your battery.

Would you buy it for a friend/recommend it?

WITHOUT A DOUBT!! At the price point, one cannot go wrong buying this product.

This is the best car mount available for the Droid. It securely holds the phone in place and it's incredibly fast and easy to dock and undock -you don't have to make any cumbersome adjustments or worry about accidentally pressing a button (sliding-arm one-size-fits-all mounts can trigger the camera button.) It can mount on the dash or windshield, rotates to support both horizontal and vertical orientations, and it has a magnet to trigger "car mode". It even allows access to the slide-out keyboard. The cheaper generic mounts just don't compare.

Why 4 stars? Well, If I had to say one bad thing about the mount, it's that you still have to plug the phone in to a USB car charger. It would be nice if you could plug in the dock instead, but it's a minor issue. The port on the phone is still easy to access.

When attached to the windshield I experienced some vibration at highway speeds that made the screen very difficult to read. However, I attached it to the dash (using the included suction/sticky pad) and have not had any issues with vibration since. The phone is very easy to get in and out of the cradle, but is held firmly in place while locked in.

The magnetic sensor in the phone automatically detects that the phone is in the car dock and brings up the GPS navigation without having to touch a single button. The cradle still allows for use of the 3.5mm headphone jack as well as the charging slot, making it great for use as a "satellite" radio (Streaming Pandora or Slacker) and GPS unit all in one.

The unit can be adjusted to be used from pretty much any angle or mounting point. The twist clamps used to lock in the angles are very secure and do not move about once tightened.

Info on Car-Mode:

This mount simply has a small magnet mounted in the base-plate where it trips a relay in the back of your Droid phone. You can buy an equivalent magnet for pocket change at places like Micheal's or Hobby Lobby.

To check it to yourself, do this: get a fridge magnet, put it on the back of your Droid, and push it just to one side the center, staying on the L-R center-line on the back of the phone while you have it in Landscape mode. The phone pops into "Car" mode when the magnet is facing the proper way way, otherwise it will pop into Media Mode. Flip the magnet over, and it will go from Car into "Media Dock" mode and vice versa. Warning: Do not use a super strong magnet as it may damage the phone; you only need one that "just enough" to work through whatever protective cover you use.

Basic Info:

Most of the reviews here cover the basic functionality of the mount, and I have little to disagree with them. It fits the phone, and holds it in a good visible place. However mounting on the windshield glass means you get vibrations even in a Lexus. This is due to the design and plastic construction of the mount, so rating of 4 to start.

Issues:

The power supply still must be plugged in externally from a separate cord, instead of integrated like a true docking mount. Similar problems exist for sound cables, although I have a BlueTooth kit in my car for Music and Phone. Its enough to drop the rating from a 4 to a 3.

The biggest issue for me is: If you have a protective cover you will have problems with this mount. I own the "Body Glove Snap-On Cover for Motorola DROID A855", and have removed the belt mount tab to make it much slimmer. If you have that or similar covers, you will not be able to use this mount unless you remove the cover every time. For me, this makes this mount a non-starter. Spending a couple minutes prying the Bodyglove off and then snapping it back on every time I enter or leave the car is simply too much inconvenience. That drops it from a 3 to a 2 rating.

Summary: If you do not use a protective cover on your Droid, and can live with the power cable hanging on your car dash, have an integrated blue-tooth system for your car audio system, and take the care to mount this on the dash instead of the windshield, then this is a decent mount for you. If not, then see below for my alternative.

If you want a protection-friendly car-mode mount for your Droid you can make one yourself:

1) Buy a generic (non-Droid specific) mount into which your droid will fit in its normal configuration. WARNING: Be careful about where the bottom and top of the mount touch the phone in "landscape mode" most inexpensive adjustable mounts will mash the volume controls on top, and on the bottom they will block the micro-USB power supply port. On the sides, they will cover the power switch or block the audio jack.

2) Get a thin small magnet at a hobby store, make sure it triggers the mount mode through your case.

3) Orient it properly (flip it and position it) to trigger Car Mode. Then super-glue it to the proper place on the mount where it will hit the right place on the back of your Droid when your phone is mounted.

There you have it: a "Droid Car Mode" mount that fits the phone without having to take off your Bodyglove.

EDIT: 3/13 Update A friend got a Seidio case with holster, and the Seidio car mount. I tried out the mount, and its great -good enough that I went ahead and bought all 3 from Seidio. Nice thing is the holster and cr mount all fit fine with the case on. (If you want more info, see my and other people's review on Seidio gear).

This item was listed under accessories for a Droid X. I awaited with anticipation for the arrival of this produce. Upon arrival of this product I tried to set it up with my Droid X and was extremely disappointed to find that it would not fit the Droid X. Returning the item is not cost effective. Beware of the accessories listed in Amazon for this item. I did purchase another Mount for the Droid X at Verizon and it worked great. These are the first items that I have purchased from Amazon that I have gotten burnt on.

I've been a victim of 3rd party accessories. I'm rather leery of window mounts in general, but since this is an OEM Motorola product built just for the Droid, there really was no way I could go wrong. The price of $30 was a little hard to swallow at the Verizon store, but once I got it mounted (it comes with a regular suction mount, as well as a stick mount for putting it on your dashboard) in my window I found just why you go and buy original accessories. Since it's built for the Droid, my Droid of course fits perfect. I was rather happy to find that it's very easy to get the phone in and out, without the risk of scratching at the casing, and it's also easy to plug in the headphone jack as well as the power charger, not to mention use the buttons on the device. I leave the mount in my window, and slip the phone in place when I need to use it for Navigation, which sends it in to Car Dock mode, providing an easy menu for operating the phone when it's docked, providing easy access to your contacts, Google Navigation, and voice command. I was also rather happy that it's very easy to adjust the face position of the phone, but it stays in place, a big bonus to anyone who's had to deal with touchy mounts that either just fall over or won't move unless you adjust the dial. Even though it's a little pricey, I'd still recommend anyone with a Droid just get this dock off the bat.

I just love this charger for my 20G origional Ipod. It looks great, and is super compact which I love. It is intended for the origional Ipod, but there is also an adaptor avalable from another company to use it with the new style. The cord is great, its 10 foot length is extremly compact due to a tight coil. The intelegent charging is a good feature, and the lights on the charger to tell its state are very useful. The charger also looks GREAT compared to others. I reccommend this product 100%.

This device works great. It is very small, has lots of frequencies to choose from (important if you live in a big city with powerful broadcasts on most available frequencies), has a cool light that lets you know it is working, charges the iPod while you listen and really has no drawbacks. If I had to pick one out, it would be that the cable attaches to the lighter plug from the side so in some cars where the lighter / accessory outlet is tough to get too, you may find the plug to be a tight fit. Not really a problem though. Highly recommend.

The item that I received was not the item specified in the listing. It was a shoddy, inferior, cheap, non-working substitute. I wrote a complaint to the seller and he immediately refunded my money without me even asking for a refund. He told me to keep the two chargers. I wrote back, trying to be fair with him, stating that the items have at least some value and offered to meet him halfway, and sent my check for half of the original amount of the items and shipping. He declined to cash my check. Although the item was listed in error by the seller, I honestly believe that he made a simple mistake in the listing and was not attempting to dupe or mislead anyone. The seller demonstrated the highest level of business integrity with his generous offer of a solution to the problem. I would definitely purchase from this seller again.

By the way, the chargers do NOT work well. The USB plug at the end of the cord to charge the phone is not of high quality and improperly sized. The connection to the phone is extremely sensitive to insertion and movement and leads to a constant charge-no charge condition, with the latter being prevalent. So if anyone is purchasing this charger, insist on the true original Motorola product and do not accept any cloned imitation or substitute. The difference in quality and performance is vast.
