This car charger is not a car charger. It puts the gps into PC mode and does not allow it to function as a gps while plugged in. Do not buy, please stop advertising models as car chargers WHEN THEY DO NOT WORK AS SUCH.

It put my garmin nuvi 255w in pc mode. Does not work as a charger. Why are you claiming it's a charger when it's not. Don't buy

I keep this charger in my car for my older Garmin Nuvi..the 8 ft. cord is convenient because I can place the Garmin wherever I choose. A good buy.
