We use UV light in the automotive shop environment regularly for leak diagnosis. This is the brightest UV light I have seen. Useful tool even without glasses, but amazing with glasses. Would recommend to other mechanics.

I got a new un-interrupted power supply at work when my old one began to randomly beep. I was instructed to throw the old one away. I did some research on APC's website, however, and found that the battery on my old UPS had done all it came to do. I bought this to keep tabs on my cheatin' spouse. It is excellent when it works....the only problem is that the coverage is based on the AT&T coverage map and it stinks in my area. When paying 14.95 a month you would think coverage would be better than what it is.....Just check your local AT&T coverage to see how it will work for you.

Battery power is better than I expected...it lasts me about 3 to 4 days depending on how much I locate it or have it scheduled to locate every 10 to 30 minutes. Its larger than I thought it would be so hiding it was a little more difficult but I found a good hiding spot...

It will text or email you when battery is low or car is moved (if it's in good coverage area) Also when the car is moved it will locate the device every 5 minutes for two hours which I liked.

So, all in all, if the coverage in my area was better and it was a bit smaller, it would be perfect!

I have no problem recommending this product. It has worked as advertised and met all my expectations. The pricing is a little high, but as I've learned (read my Zoombak disaster) you get what you pay for. I keep this device in an enclosed trailer for some added security, and when the battery gets low, you are notified. You have unlimited locates, and the shock and perimeter functions work flawlessly as well.

I just found the exact same thing on Ebay from eclectic_mart@yahoo.com for $189, free shipping! Called Amazon and they said they will not match the price but will allow me to return it. Sorry, Amazon, I've placed my order and am sending the Amazon one back. Amazon is always a few dollars higher but worth it. This is the first time I've found such a huge discrepency and I will remember to double check Ebay in the future!

I've had it for a couple days now. The battery only lasted a day or two and takes a long time to charge. So I paid Best Buy $100 to have it hard wired directly to the battery in the car my 16 year daughter is using (and my 14 year old son is lusting after). I thought of just clipping the car charger plug off and wiring it myself to the car wiring. Luckily, I did not try this as the plug contains a resistor. The proper way is to buy a female plug that you wire (either always on or just on when the vehicle is on) and permenantly plug the male end into it. Best Buy did a great job of hiding it.

The couple days I've had it has tracked great! It will show the position every ten minutes or you can get continous tracking for ten minute intervals. It show location, speed and direction of the vehicle.

It's pricey at $300 plus $180 for on-line tracking. But after reading all the problems with the competing device, I am very glad I bought this one so far.

It has an arm function that is supposed to alert you by email and by text message to your cell phone if the car is moved. It can be armed from the computer after the car is supposed to be home for the night. This function is not currently functioning on my unit. I emailed tech support today and hope to follow-up here if they respond.

The arm function is great for kids that might make a unauthorized copy of the key and sneak out for a midnight joy ride (not that we parents ever did that smile).

But even if the arm function does not work, I can always have the website plot where the car has been for the last day or for several days and pick up any unauthorized activity.

I think it's cheap for the peace of mind of knowing where my kid and the car are and how fast they are driving!

Ok I have had this for a few days and had my daughter track me while I was out of town and driving around California.

So far it has performed exactly as I had expected and I am pleased.

My daughter calls it very cool. She can follow my travels and know where i am when I am out of town on business.

Things I like are real time tracking so you can put the unit on a vehicle and follow its movements

There is a slight lag and the position when not moving is not perfect. It will give the position to about 15-20 feet,

ie it will show the car parked 2-3 parking spaces away from where it actually is parked in a typical parking lot.

It will also give you a route history and the interface is easy to use.

I have not put the battery time to the test yet. That is what I will do for the next few days.

Good solid product. Worth the money.

Buy it you wont be disappointed.

Installed the product on kids car and we logged in for the first few months to realise our kids were pretty safe drivers and their driving habits were consistent. Texts and emails me constantly with incorrect information. It has become white noise and after a few months, we stopped paying attention to it. Was told my credit card was already charged and they do not provide refunds, but as a super nice courtesy, they would only charge me for the current month, plus one month as well as a $30 activiation fee. This is about as simple as a charger can get. An AC plug in transformer with a voltage select switch and color coded alligator clips at the end of the cord. It charged both of my batteries (6 and 12 volt) without any problems and gets only slightly warm to the touch. The charge rate varied between 400 ma to 40 ma (depending on battery condition) and produces pulsating DC.

Arrival of very hot weather seemed to coincide with annoying beeping of my house alarm. Further investigation determined that the battery needed charging.

12V sealed lead-acid batteries of the type used in many house alarms are pretty expensive. Fortunately, they are rechargeable. This charger only costs about 1/4 to 1/3 of the price of a new battery.

I let it charge during a weekend for a total of about 12-16 hours. I don't recommend leaving things like this charging while you're away from home or asleep, just in case.

No more beeping, so it seems to have worked. The charger does NOT have an LED light or other feature to indicate that it is "on" or whether in fact it is "done" charging.

This item should be listed as I have, because it will charge only small batteries, (lawn Tractor, or such items) that have loss their charge over a long period, as is common with lead acid batteries.It will maintain batteries that sit idle over the winter, and recharge small like batteries, if the discharge was do to idle periods. If your battery, "dies" after only a few days replace it, as it more than likely has a bad cell(shorted) and you will ruin these chargers, as they will put out the max they can and eventually "burn" up, do to excess heat.They can be used on large batteries that are in good shape,to "Maintain" the charge. Don't confuse these units for a full size battery charger, they charge at 4-10 AMPS, this unit only puts out Milli amps.

The item was delivered fast. The cost was unbelievably low. It is an ok product. Won't be using it except in emergency type situations due to its poorer quality fit.... i.e. I am afraid I am going to break it by plugging it into my phone, or worse, break my phone. This adapter has a click in piece that makes it usable with other models I guess. For the EM 1000 series this piece has to be removed. You have to be careful when placing the walkie-talkie in the charger base as it is actually larger than the original charger base.

I currently work on handicapped scooter equipment and have had extensive past experience with both computer and surveillance battery backup systems. This product arrived early and was in superb condition due to excellent packaging. Despite being well protected, there was no wasted space in the packaging. Protection was provided by double boxing and styrofoam beans. Although the product was not labelled exactly as shown in the example, it was the same product with all the specs equal to the one shown. I immediately removed the old battery from an emergency jumper pack with air compressor and replaced it with this new battery. The condition lights showed full charge and the compressor works perfectly. This new battery saved me over $30 on the price of a new jumper pack. I'll use the 2nd battery I ordered as a replacement for my Kawasaki Mule with a 7 year old battery that is getting weak. This replacement will save me almost $100 over the OEM battery. This is an excellent product from an excellent vendor. I'll certainly do business with them in the future and recommend them highly. Thanks, Battery Supersite.

I bought the adapter to work with a Qi wireless charger for my Galaxy s3. As a clumsy person, I use cases for my phone of the *ahem* industrial variety. I break phones, I drop them, I drown them. I use strong protective cases.

The adapter slipped under my stock backplate of my phone. It was very easy to put in place, but the "sticky" strip on the adapter wasn't sticky. Doesn't matter with how tight it is under the backplate of my phone. The problem is that it makes the back bow out slightly, so it's not as sleek as without it. Since I keep my phone in a case, it didn't matter at the time.

The phone fit wonderfully in my Otterbox Defender case that I have for my phone. The added bulk didn't affect the fit of the case at all. The problem that I found was with my new LifeProof case. The LifeProof cases have a clear back to show off the color. The added bulk under the backplate caused the clear portion to rub on the back of the phone, creating a grey area. PURELY cosmetic, but this case didn't fit as well as it could have because of the extra bulk.

Pro:

The product is exactly as advertised. It will take your S3 and make it compatible with wireless charging.

It takes about 5 minutes to set it in correctly and snap the cover back on. As stated, the factory cover will fit perfectly on the back. However, while most people have said they don't notice the hump, I do. It's not a game stopper by any means. But it's clearly there. I used to rest my phone on speaker on my keyboard and now it won't sit there anymore. It slides away. Kind of annoying, but not the end of the world.

The phone can get hot while charging, but I'm not concerned about it at all.

My major gripes are that it doesn't always make that 'ding' noise when first placed on the charger. Whether that is an Android issue or a device issue doesn't matter, it hinders the overall experience. Second, along with the ding, it stops charging and starts charging throughout the night, so sometimes it dings several times in the night, and it's loud enough that it can be heard and/or wake you up. This can be fixed by turning notification volume off at night, but, once again, it's about hindering the overall experience. (Just for reference I ended up making a Tasker setting that fixed the problem)

In the end, do I like my purchase? Yes, the product does what it claims to do and the price was really good. However, understand that wireless charging isn't exactly wireless, inductive charging is the better term. Sure it's nice to just lay things down, but then again you have to be pretty exact with your placement. When furniture or cars start to come with built in charging pads, then this will have a lot more tangible value.

I originally fabricated my own Wireless charger for my S3 using an old pixi palm, but it did not work well. Wish I would have found this sooner. Be careful to install this correctly with the 2 gold contacts. Does NOT make the back of the phone bulge. It works with any QI charger, in fact it works better with my wife's Nokia wireless charger than the aftermarket QI I bought. Another great thing is I have the Verizon Belt Clip Shell Holster Cover Case+Stand on my phone and it charges through it! you do not need to take it off, just set it on the charger. Charges pretty quickly.
