I've gone through a number of charging accessories for my power hunger iPhone 3GS. A common problem encountered is "This accessory is not made for this device" nag screen every time you plug it in. This charger doesn't have that problem. Another problem with other chargers, beside needing to be 5v instead of 12v, is the output current is too weak to keep up with the high drain of the 3GS when your running something like GPS navigation. This charger advertises 1000mA of current, and after testing it this charger was able to keep up with everything running on my iPhone. No more battery draining when plugged into a weak charger while surfing on the 3G network or running a GPS app. Another plus is this charger's plug fits in my iPhone with the Incase Slider on. Not sure if it'll fit with an OtterBox Defender case as I don't have one of those to try. In summary, if you have a 3GS, this charger will work.

Charger is great, really helps me keep my iPhone charged all day long, even when using the Maps app. Wish the cord was 6-10" longer for a little more flexibility of moving the phone around.

I liked the price and it does the job. I found the cord a little bit stiffer than the one I got from the apple store (that I was trying to find a cheaper replacement for). But it's not too bad. I also couldn't tell from the description or pic but it turns out it doesn't have that cool swivel switch at the connection point where the light is (by where it plugs into the ac adapter). I had hoped it'd have that which would have allowed 2 usb items to charge with this one cord. But even for a single usb port, it's a'ite.

For what you pay for it as opposed to the $30 chargers you pay in some stores, it serves it's purpose. The only complaint I have is that if your iphone is in an otter box you won't be able to attach the charger.
