This phone charger is quite handy and saves me from having to carry two different phone chargers whenever I travel (one for the car and one for indoors). I was not able to use the supplied USB cable with my particular BlackBerry phone (Style 9670) as it would not receive a charge with it, but the plug works fine with my OEM BlackBerry USB cable and the supplied cable charges other phones in my home, so I'm happy with the purchase. I purchased 10 of them and I noticed that some of them don't put constant output that is causing the phone to report constantly that the charger is unplugged and plugged again that can be bad for the battery. Also It can't handle two phones at the same time that requires 750 mA charging.Having only one connected at the same time it works good. Anyway I decided to buy this because of the price and USB connector. The micro USB cable I got it from monoprice because they offer life time warranty. This small usb connectors constantly get broken.

This product works well. I found it was it is easy to clip the phone into at least way easier than the normal charging lead, it holds the phone in a good position for viewing and it has rubber feet so it does not slide around on a polished surface unlike the phone by its self. I also like the fact that the dock mostly obscures the led indicator I use my phone as an alarm clock and it seems that every device I have has a led on it that starts flashing when you least expect it while I am happy with this some may not! Oh and using this dock allowed me to put back into service an old Blackberry charger with a mini USB connector.

I've gone through a number of charging accessories for my power hunger iPhone 3GS. A common problem encountered is "This accessory is not made for this device" nag screen every time you plug it in. This charger doesn't have that problem. Another problem with other chargers, beside needing to be 5v instead of 12v, is the output current is too weak to keep up with the high drain of the 3GS when your running something like GPS navigation. This charger advertises 1000mA of current, and after testing it this charger was able to keep up with everything running on my iPhone. No more battery draining when plugged into a weak charger while surfing on the 3G network or running a GPS app. Another plus is this charger's plug fits in my iPhone with the Incase Slider on. bought for my girlfriend. she is 5'3 126lbs 34c,26,37. It is a little tight on the chest but it fits well. It looks great on her and it works. The battery doesn't last as long as you would think. but on the lower settings she can get about 4 hours out of it. she wears it to work all the time and uses it in the morning to take the chill out of her. Before you buy this product, please check your battery. If it is an FS-1 type DO NOT buy this charger. The description stating that this charger will charge an FS-1 battery is wrong. After receiving it in the mail, the package plainly says this charger is for D series batteries. Their is a DX-1 battery used to charge blackberry phones. If you have a DX-1 battery, this charger may work. I don't have this type of battery so I can't say for sure, except the package says this charger is for D series batteries. As said in other reviews, when attempting to charge an FS-1 type battery, the LED light initially illuminates orange, then in about a minute or so, it will turn red indicating it is not charging. I left a battery in the charger overnight and it did not charge it even a little bit. There is another charger on Amazon that looks exactly like this one with a slightly different description that also does not work for the FS-1 battery. I know my batteries are good since I had them verified good at an AT&T service center. BEWARE!!!! Amazon has been notified of this problem as well as the seller of this product.

Used this about 4 times before it broke... I pulled it out once by the cord (not with much force) instead of the housing and the wiring came out. Nothing was holding it in place other than the negligible amount of solder used. I'm not a soldering pro by any means, but the scale is too small for me to fix myself. Into the garbage it goes. Made in China, indeed.

I have been trying out Solar Chargers for the past 6 plus months. Interest in solar charges grew from wanting to be prepared for emergencies. The electronic devices that I have are powered through AA, AAA, and USB sources. Therefore, my focus was on finding a solar charger that can power one or any combination of the three. This is the review of the PowerFilm 10-Watt Foldable Solar Charger.

Starting with some basic information for this charger, the product comes with the PowerFilm 10-Watt Foldable Solar Charger, one PowerFilm's RA-2 12 Volt Female Cigarette Lighter Adapter, a very basic instruction foldout, and everything is contained in a cardboard box. I appreciate the cardboard box as it does not waste space and is perfect size for efficient storage. It fits snugly around the charger which when folded, is approximately 10 1/2 inches long and 4 inches wide. The solar charger itself appears very durable and its build quality is excellent. It has a thin and flexible solar film encased in a UV protection layer, and it is stitched into durable nylon material. The manual instructs that if the solar charger becomes wet or submerged, it should continue to work after given some time to dry.

The solar charger was able to successfully charge my iPhone 3GS with different car adapters. With the iGo car charger and different levels of sunlight (direct-indirect, peak-off peak, etc.), I was able to charge the iPhone at a rate of 10% charge for every 14 minutes. This is fast when compared to different chargers that have been tested, especially among other solar and portable chargers. I never drain my iPhone completely, so actual trial times for a complete charge is not available.

Another great positive to this charger is that I am able to utilize my Sanyo Eneloop USB AA/AAA Charger attached to a Scosche USB car adapter. This provides the ability to charge AA and AAA rechargeable batteries. The Sanyo Eneloop USB Charger instructions states that it would require two hours to charge AAA batteries and four hours to charge AA batteries. The charge time was consistent whether it was connected to my MacBook or the Solar Charger.

Being rated at producing 15.4 volts with 0.6 amps, the PowerFilm 10-Watt Foldable Solar Charger is not likely to charge a power hungry item, such as a laptop computer, on its own. However, these panels can be connected in parallel with combined output of up to 20 amps. PowerFilm also makes similar foldable solar panels that are rated at 20, 30, and 60-Watts.

Overall, I rate this PowerFilm 10-Watt Foldable Solar Charger a 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. This solar charger meets all of my needs with great success. I am now able to power my AA and AAA rechargeable batteries, USB devices, and other devices using car adapters. Plus the build quality is excellent, the necessary female adapter is included, and the packaging is great. I finally found the dependable, durable, compact, and lightweight source of solar power that I have been searching for in case of emergencies.

I took this item into the woods for 2 weeks, and was able to charge my smartphone enough to keep up with facebook and sms for a few minutes in the evenings. Never got a full charge. What's up with the 5 star rating for something that only charged enough for 20 minutes of data usage? How is that possible?

Easy. No direct sunlight. The best sunlight I could find was dappled. Constant haze in the sky (humid east coast forest), with lots of clouds some days. In other words, horrible conditions for solar panels.

It still worked.

Fantastic product, puts up with a lot of abuse. You can drape it over a bush, or hang it from a tree, or off the side of your tent. It's light, folds up small, and doesn't care about getting damp.

I would recommend getting a charge controller, though. I didn't, and I think my results would have been much better with a decent charge controller. I don't think the blocking diode blocks 100% of the current flow, because the panel would (slowly!) drain the phone's battery if it was in the evening shade for too long.

A 10W panel is WAY OVER CAPACITY for a smart phone (I have the HTC G1, Google's first Android phone). I would NEVER hook this panel directly up to my phone in full, direct, clear sunlight without a charge controller! However, considering the conditions, I just used the car charger for my phone and plugged it directly into the panel and it worked great.

I bought this panel as a convenient way to keep gadgets charged while away from civilization. The unit is smaller than I imagined, and seems very rugged. The solar panels themselves are a heavy duty flexible plastic film and are glued and stitched to the nylon fabric. The whole assembly has four grommets in the corners which I'm sure will come in very handy. In the package is a cable with the panel connector on one end and a female 12v cigarette lighter socket on the other; if you have gadget chargers that plug into your vehicle's 12v power socket you're good to go. I only wish PowerFilm offered a dual 5V USB port charger cable with integrated charge controller, for the increasing number of gadgets that charge via USB. Instead, I picked up a Griffin PowerJolt Dual at the local Wally-world, which works great.

So far I've only been able to test it in the back yard, but I'm very happy with it. In full sun (2:00pm, September 24, Northern California, 86 degrees F) my meter initially read 19+ volts. Voltage seemed to drop slowly as the panel heated up. In complete shade, under the porch, the panel still put out 12.2 volts.

I had a very good experience with PowerFilm support via email. I would definitely recommend this product, and will probably buy another in the future.

Used this during the electrical grid failure we had after the April tornados in Huntsville Alabama. Used it to charge cell phones, kindle, portable tv, and a bunch of enloop AA bateries over a period of 5 days. Folds up to a small and very lightweight package, small enough to fit inside a mens shaving kit I use to store it and 12-batteries, 2-headlamps, 1-AA flashlight, a 4-cell battery charger and assorted 12v and USB adapters cables. Great product well worth the money.

Surprise #1: I bought my F16-600 10W solar panel charger from Amazon for a steal at 109 dollars on sale (Powerfilm was the seller).

Surprise #2: The item pictured in the description was the black one but I ended up getting a military grade version (camouflage canvas). NICE!

Surprise #3: It came with a female cigarette lighter adapter! Despite the description failing to mention this bonus I'm lucky I didn't almost spring for Amazon's "buy together with RA-2 cigarette lighter adapter for..."

Now for a quick review of the product itself. IT ROCKS! The end.

Seriously, I used this last weekend over a camping trip for 4 days. The first day was mostly cloudy and the solar panel barely produced enough current to charge my Samsung Focus Windows Phone. The second day was partly cloudy and with Seattle area sunbreaks it managed to charge my smartphone in 5 hours. The next day full sun and it charged it in 2 hours. Remember, the charging time depends on the charger itself.

Let's talk numbers now. I measured the voltage and it was as advertised coming in higher than 15.4 volts. On an overcast day it measured 50 milliamps. That's not enough to charge a smartphone. When the sun comes out it produces a strong 600+ milliamps.

Just for kicks I connected a 12 volt fan and you can tell that it runs full speed in the sun. When a cloud passes or a shadow blocks the solar charger then the fan dies.

One challenge with cloudy days is that depending on the device and the charger you might have an issue with these frequent disruptions of electricity. For example, on a smartphone when it gets power the screen turns on. This frequent disruption actually causes the device screen to turn on often and drains more from the battery each time causing the opposite effect.

I'd really like to charge some AA or AAA batteries but I can't seem to find a good battery charger that also provides USB power to devices.

The durability seems good so far. I'm a little concerned on the hottest day when the sun beat down hard on those cells and it looks like one of them might be coming off the stitching. I'll report back for sure if there is a quality issue. I have to admit, it's too soon for me to review this product.

I bought this to charge my Duracell Powerpack. I have it hanging in a window and it seems to working fine keeping the battery topped off. The Duracell input is a 2.5 mm and the panel has a 2.1 mm output connection but the panel included a simple 2.1 to 2.5 adapter. It works the best in direct sunlight when the unit is open and all the panels are exposed. I tried it with only 2 panels exposed and didn't work. It's light, compact and easy to transport. The quality seems to be good and the price is great compared to other 30W panels. I was hesitant buying this without any customer reviews but the price was so good I decided to take a chance and I'm happy with the product. updating my review and bumping it up to 5 stars. It's a cloudy day and the charge light is still on hanging in an east facing window at 5pm.

Needed new battery for motorcycle and this delivers. Figure $90+ for a good gel battery why not get this with 3 year warranty, and if you take care of it you're looking at possibly 7 years of life. One thing that is a minor annoyance is the terminals are opposite of what I needed. I installed battery facing inboard to have terminals on proper side. A little tight to make connections but it works. I don't know if it is available with in a + configuration vs the + I got. If it is I didn't see it during the ordering process of the battery.

Long story short, I more or less got one of the few (if not the only) dud from the factory line. The battery would not start my bike (2002 Yamaha R1) in the cold mornings no matter how many cranks it produced. To its credit, it kept cranking the bike like a champion no matter how many times and how long I held the starter button down. But it wasn't until the temps got up just enough from the morning that the bike would start. I swapped the old lead acid battery back on the bike, and I never had the problem again.

Ballistic Performance has been outstanding in their customer service via email and phone. Ultimately, I returned the battery to the local store I purchased it from, and Ballistic made sure that the retailer shipped the battery to them immediately for testing. Ballistic kept me updated throughout via email, leading to the same conclusion that while the battery passed all metering tests with flying colors, it did have intermittent problems in starting their bike (Aprilia Tuono).

I rated the product Four Stars at this point due to Ballistic Peformance's outstanding customer service, and for a very well-finished product. Despite the faulty starting performance of the battery, it was clearly well-constructed and finished, and is truly a very lightweight replacement to the standard lead acid batteries. I couldn't give it Five Stars due to my luck of the draw, but I wouldn't hesitate to try Ballistic Performance again when I'm ready to have another go at it.

I bought a 8 cell for my CBR1000RR with a host of additional electronics, including an alarm, Dynojet fuel injection module, quickshifter, a gear position indicator and a wired-in radar detector connection.So my bike draws more than a stock CBR1000RR does.

I got my battery very quickly in the mail, and was excited to install it. I was dismayed to find it would not crank like it did with the stock battery, but the weight saving was incredible. I thought my charging system might be bad on the bike.

So I ordered the balancing charger from Ballistic to optimize my battery and as soon as I hooked it up, the problem was obvious. Two of the 8 cells were not registering any voltage at all. I called Ballistic, spoke to the president on his cell phone, and he was awesome.

He immediately apologized (but hey, I understand; things like this happen occasionally) and sent me out a new one just as fast as he hung up with me complete with tracking number. That is great customer service!

One thing to remember; this 8-cell battery started my bike on only 6 cells every time. I am fully confident that the replacement will be fine and the Ballistic Balancing Battery Charger will allow you to see exactly what each cell is doing. A stock battery with a dead cell would have left me stranded.

I highly recommend this battery, it gave me more room in my battery box to relocate my alarm module there and free up precious space under the passenger seat. If you had an '05 CBR1000RR with an underseat exhaust you would know exactly what I meant!

It's advertised as SAMSUNG OEM.. The one I got is not and came with a weird peel away cover that goes over the LED-light.. it doesnt stay on so the LED-light is exposed along with the inside wiring.. very odd.. It also has an attached USB port on the top-next to the LED light. I have not tried if that connection works.

I've found that the connection to my charger port is not perfect, it sometimes looses connection if the phone is moved whatsoever. However, if I just put the phone down (shouldnt drive and be on phone anyway) it stays connected and works fine.

For the price, this is just fine, but SAMSUNG OEM it's not, the quality build is not the same

Just got this little 12v. pot for heating water, soup, etc. and didn't expect much since I had a recent bad experience with a 12v. coffee maker that, after waiting over an hour for something to happen, didn't work at all. Well, I was pleasantly surprised! This litle unit is well-made and has some very nice features, such as being able to remove the pot from the base for easy cleaning. I also like the fact that, as well as an "on" light, the pot lights up with a white light to let you know that it is seated correctly on the base. It also has a nice safety feature in that it will shut off if there's not enough water, so it won't "burn dry." Best thing, though, is that it really does work! It does take longer with 12v. units, but that's to be expected. However, in less than half an hour the water was bubbling merrily away! I am very pleased with my purchase and would definitely recommend it.

I purchased this unit as my wife and I love the "coffee on the go" mode and figured to save a few bucks in the long run on the expensive Convenience Store drinks. So far, and that includes three vehicles, we have blown the fuse every time that we plug the RoadPro into the cigarette lighter. I am approaching half the cost of the unit in replaced fuses. I'm not saying that the unit will not work, in fact I believe that it will do what it claims if you can get the proper power to it. For many vehicles, it will require a heavier wire to be routed from the battery to a seperate 12 volt outlet. This takes the convenience away and adding new wiring to the vehicle adds cost to the use of the RoadPro.

Being an over-the-road driver I carried one of these for awhile in order to make coffee and hot cereal. It actually heats pretty well, and is a much better product than the previous one I had. However after about 3 months of 3-4 times a week use, it started to leak through the base and into the heating element. After that it quit completely. As this happened with 2 of these in a row, I tend to believe it's a design flaw. For occasional use, it's probably well worth it, but if you use it regularly, expect to replace it every couple of months.

very sad that this product did not work at all. when plugged in to car, with car on (followed all the instructions) it lit up but never heated the water at all. tried different cars, waited 20 minutes, NEVER WORKED! sent it back for refund. i will say amazon has a very easy return procedure and i did appreciate that.

only gave it one star because i had to before i could enter my review. actually rating would be zero stars!

What a treat to have hot tea or instant coffee on long road trips. Holds enough for 2 cups of your favorite brew. Takes about 15 minutes for hot water, 20 minutes to boil. Very handy.
