Just got mine and was a bit skeptical after seeing other poor reviews, but I needed it and knew I could return it if it didn't work, but so far works like a charm.

Like one reviewer mentioned it did get a little hot when it is charging the phone, but nothing unreasonable.

I would like it even more if it offered better overall protection for the phone.

I bought this as a way to boost my battery life but when I plugged the phone into it, after about 5 minutes, the phone got very hot, I was unable to get a signal through my phone connection or Wi-Fi. I wasn't worried about the bulkiness, as my OtterBox makes the phone bulky also. Just expected it to do its job without practically melting my phone.
