I purchased this converter and it actually worked well for a time. HOWEVER, for practical use, it is a dud. It is to be plugged directly into a travel adapter (if you are outside of the UK), which in turn, is plugged directly into the wall socket. Think about hotel electrical outlets. They are usually kind of loose. This unit is too heavy to hang from your average hotel room outlet. You plug it into the room and then it falls out. I had it propped up so it would stay in the outlet, and it shorted out when I moved it. I left it in a hotel trash can in Jerusalem. If you stay in hotels when you travel (who doesn't?), look for a converter that has a cord that plugs into the wall socket, leaving the heavier converter box on the floor or a table. I hate it when a supposed engineer designs something, then apparently never tries it out in real life.

It's been a few years since I purchased a power travel converter. This one has a good range and is compact as you would expect. Quality appears good and it served well on its inaugural trip.

Sorry, to say that I'm not happy at all. The converter didn't work at all when I was abroad out of states, for the single voltage

Checking the instruction manual, it was mentioned clearly that unit won't work if apparatus has "LED" indicators. This info is not available in the specs online, otherwise I wouldn't buy this converter and carry it all the way and moreover can't use my appliances

To the supplier: please update the online specs to enable correct selection of the product

Great product, works well, great for travel. Many hotel rooms (especially in Europe & Asia) have power that cuts off when you remove key. If you leave devices behind when you leave, you can plug into the Power Bank and charge them, even though the power has been shut off in your hotel room. When you return to the room and chill, you can enjoy your device, and plug the Power Bank into the wall to recharge. Also great for long international flights.

I bought this on impulse at Home Depot. My Samsung Galaxy phone is a juice hog and I always need some power as a back up. I own 2 smaller black batteries by New Trent which I'm very happy with. They are a bit fragile in their hard black cases. They charge using a USB input so you can charge with a computer or AC to USB adapter

This unit is indeed "rugged"...built like a rugged flashlight or radio. The box says Drop Proof and Splash proof but I haven't intentionally tested it. It came fully charged out of the box. The indicator light displays different colors with green being fully charged. It's a good sign that it's been in the box for however long and has retained its charge

Other than the ruggedness, a good feature is that it has a direct two pronged AC wall plug. I will find this useful when I'm traveling and I can plug it in to a wall socket. Unfortunately this is the only charge method, there is no USB input.

So far it works as promised as do my other chargers. So the key is "form factor"... Being rugged and heavy if that's what you want.It's also bulky. If you want compact and light w/o the protection, there's better choices from New Trent.

I hear horror stories about the car chargers that people buy from the flea market. And I've seen those chargers too, they're all tangled up in a big pile on a table and you have to sort through the pile trying to find the right one. Sold by some little guy that may or may not be there next week, with a warranty that lasts as long it takes him to put your money in his pocket. And you wonder why it fries your phone?

This is why I shop at Amazon, I trust the sellers, I look at their ratings and read the reviews. If the seller is selling junk he won't last long with Amazon, so I feel reasonably safe when buying a .50 phone charger!!

I have no problems with this charger!! It arrived quickly and you can't beat the price. I've been using it for a few weeks now with no problems, my phone doesn't even get warm. My old phone was a Samsung and I had an OEM car charger for it (package deal)and even with that my phone would get warm. But not with this thing and it charges super fast. I'm not sure what "bulk packaging" means, but mine came in a cellophane package ready to hang on a peg hook.

All in all, a great deal and I'd buy from this seller again.

I used the vehicle charger adapter less than a week and it broke. Some if the pieces stayed in the truck plug which ended up blowing my truck fuse and by the time my husband was done with his mechanic skills trying to fix it, I had to take it into the dealer to fix. I got this for my Nokia E7 since I use my phone's smartphone features a lot I tax the battery more than normal and need a car charger to get me through the day. This charger does the job perfectly.
