I replaced my high-mount tail lights with these suckers, as every 6 months a few of my bulbs would burn out. Replacing the rear bulbs with these was relatively easy as they were a good fit, but the lower plastic housing slipped right off when I was installing them. What junk, I had to discard it, but the negative lead on the led is very soft, some sort of junky recycled metal. 4 Stars for cost, shipping and relative use, but the bulb is low quality, and does not emit a huge amount of light. Expect a bit less than your typical incandescent.

This product is good. But the belt clip broke within 2 weeks of wearing it. My husband wore it on his belt for a total 2 weeks and notified me that the strap had came off where it's sewed on. Not happy with that.

This seems to be a great charger! I am using it as a permanently installed charger in a back-up battery-powered sump pump application. I have dual 12-volt deep cycle maintenance free batteries in series for a 24-volt system that feeds a back-up sump pump. It installed in a few minutes but I did have to install different size connectors to fit my battery posts, I configured it in a few seconds, and it has been running fine. This is obviously not designed to deliver high current under continuous operation, but it seems to keep my batteries fully charged and no worries of over-charging. I like the fact that it indicates the percent charge on the batteries, and it definitely shows the drop in charge as the back-up pump goes through run cycles and drains the batteries. I have not had it long enough to vouch for reliability, but it appears to be well made and well designed. As an electronics engineer, I am satisfied with it from a technical and functional perspective.

Update: After nearly 18 months of operation, here is an update that you should be aware of. This charger is very sensitive to power outage glitches, which we get a lot of in our area.

I was wondering what was going on but finally figured it out. The unit charges just fine, but when we get a short power glitch, the unit gets hung up. During a power glitch (lasting a second or two), the unit does not recover. It just sits there with all the indicators blinking. I have to unplug the unit and wait a minute before plugging it back in, then it works fine. I tested this by flicking the circuit breaker on and off quickly, and was able to repeat the problem every time. I fixed it by first plugging the charger into a plug-in surge protector. Works like a champ! So, not sure if it is just my unit or a general issue, but the unit I have is sensitive to power glitches. If you are depending on it to operate without checking it now and then (as in a sump pump battery back-up application like I use it for) then be aware that it might fail when stressed by the power grid. The surge protector seems to fix the problem and I have not had any trouble since. I tend to check my sump system every few days just because it is convenient to do so, so that is how I caught this issue. I am still happy with it but would be concerned about purchasing another one, especially for an unattended long-term charging application.

A modern battery charger that is small, well-built, and works as advertised. The manual is well written and very clear as to what to do in what order, what to expect from the battery charger, and excellent suggestions to follow when attempting to bring a highly discharged, but still good, battery back to life. NOCO refers to their battery charger line as "wicked smart chargers". I'd say they're right on the mark!

This works very much like the 6v/12v version just a bit bigger in size and instead of a trickle option it has a supply (13v) and a "boost" (16v). The only draw back IMO is it doesn't have the small battery settings but i guess its a trade off to get the extra features of more power.

This charger is great with Optima batteries. Has a specialized charge mode just for AGM batteries. Also charges regular wet cell batteries too. I was also pleasantly surprised by the high quality of this charger. Very nice charger!

This item works great. Should be about $5 IMO, but you won't be dissatisfied with it at $10. When retracted, it fits easily into your pocket.

The retractable cable is a great feature, but I wish it was another 6" long when extended. The cable at full extension is about 3' or less. Depending on where your car lighter port is, you may need to be creative in finding a place to put the phone while using your phone's GPS or internet radio or MP3 player capabilities.

This inverter was carried by my daughter's miniature horse in a local Parade of Lights. It powered 3 strings of LED lights using 8 AA cells, it powered the lights for an hour which indicates the inverter was very efficient at this load level. The power cord plugs into the inverter and is keyed to prevent reverse polarity. I had to cut the power cord to solder it to the battery holder. It was about 20 degrees out and worked fine. I will be ordering more of them as my daughter has a horse business and the parade makes for good advertising.

Caveat: I didn't actually wind up buying this product, and can't comment on its long-term reliability.

That said, if it weren't for the fact that I really needed some features this charger doesn't include, I would have purchased it. This one is half the price of the one that I wound up getting, made by a different manufacturer.

More important, I was able to get a superbly prompt reply from the manufacturer when I was researching which charger to buy. They responded within hours of the business day on which they received my email request, and their response answered each and every question I had, precisely and directly.

Sure, every manufacturer ought to do that, but in my experience, few are able to. I'm sure I don't need to tell anyone reading this review how uncommon it is to find one that is and does.

For the sake of completness, here are the two features that are missing from this particular charger (as reported to me by the manufacturer):

1) It has no manual override for the automatic voltage detection. A battery that has discharged too far for this charger to detect the battery state and configuration cannot be charged with this charger. (Keeping in mind that a lead acid battery discharged that far may have been damaged, and charging may be impossible...in not all cases would a manual override help anyway).

2) In the event that power to the charger is interrupted (e.g. a temporary power service outage), when the power is restored, the charger will revert to its initial, non-charging state. It requires manual intervention to resume the charging/maintenance operation.

For many people, neither of these features are critical, or even important. For that matter, in some cases it might actually better to _not_ have those features (more automatic operation is simpler to use, and maybe some people want the charger to wait for someone to check it before restarting charging after a power outage). For those people, I would definitely recommend this model rather than one costing twice as much. :)

One last thing: you can find this on the box picture on the manufacturer's web site (which I'll try to add to the product details), but just in case anyone is wondering, this charger will do 10 amps only when charging a 12v battery. When charging a 24v battery, the max is 6 amps.
