After being plugged into the car for about ten minutes the charge became so hot it actually started to smell like burning plastic! I had to use my sweatshirt sleeve to unplug it because of how hot it was. DO NOT BUY!

I got this just for the cord since my 3 year old likes playing with the vita, I wanted something that was secure so he couldn't unplug the vita from the charger. It was perfect it is extremely secure so it will charge without worry and the car charger works just fine and it doesn't get hot to the touch during use. The cable also works with the sony brand ac charger.

worth your buck it does what its supposed to do, for cheap what else do you want. ive had it for almost two months and i have not had a problem with it yet
