The first thing you notice when this charger/starter arrives at your door is the weight. Yes you can carry it around but it is by no means light weight. At about 10lbs this is no plastic toy. Its got a heavy metal case, sizable clamps, and a plastic handle on top. The dial is a simple twist from 6v 30amp to 12v 10amp to 12v 30amp to Start 12v 200amp. The manual is a small booklet full of the usual warnings, a step by step on proper jumper placement, and a table to calculate how long to leave a battery on the device. It is manual and will not shut itself off so you can damage a battery with this thing. Of course it is manual so you don't get the usual faulty responses either (I consider this a pro).

Thank God we can still buy a MANUAL battery charger.I dry camp with no hook ups in the forest.I have a smart charger too but it resets its-self because of voltage varitions from the generator,

hence that is why I bought this charger.Fluctuations dont bother it.

I can continue to talk when my battery is low, but my phone only charges when the batteries are brand new. If I have used the batteries three times to charge, the charger only prolongs my talk time. For less than five bucks I got this bundle with two chargers and cover for my brightside. Feels nice to the touch although the slider function seems a bit hindered from this. But it's nice to have the extra protection and the car charger. I wish all little devices used the micro usb plug companies like Apple with their new "unique" charger only serve to make us pay more to them and trash all the old charger cables. What an un-pc and eco-unfriendly move Apple! The chargers here fit my other phones, my kindle and I love this about it.

We bought this charger to charge the batteries to an Razor e300 scooter. The past batteries were bulging from being overcharged and we wanted to be able to leave it plugged in until we wanted to use it again without monitoring the batteries constantly.

The charger works flawlessly and the lights indicate when a full charge is achieved and it is in maintenance mode. The connector threads onto the charging port on the scooter to eliminate accidental disconnections. I have found no cons with this charger thus far. Highly recommend!

Powers up all the devices I have plugged in so far. I haven't used a device with it that needs 2.1 amp yet. The pull handle fell off the first time I used it. The blue LED indicator light is very bright to the point that its distracting when driving at night. I may put some black tape over the light. Not worth the effort to return it since it performs its basic function.

I'll start with the good: It looks good, feels relatively sturdy, and does put out 5 volts over USB. Now for the bad: First off, the red LED that comes on is WAY too bright. I wouldn't want to drive at night with it on, which is annoying. Also, While i was testing it, i noticed that the unit felt warm after only 2-3 minutes of charging. It was emitting a burning electronics smell. thats not good! So, considering that the device cost less than 3 bucks, i just took it apart to see what was up....

The device uses an MC34063a voltage converter chip. This chip is tinymaybe 5mm by 2.5mm. This is the source of the heat!!!! I plugged my Droid X into the charger (which was connected to 12v through an ammeter) and after 5-10 minutes of charging, the surface of the chip was 186 degrees F. Not only is this insane, it's also way past the operating range of the chip (about 150 degrees). At this time the charger was pulling .5 to .6 of an amp from the power source to charge the phone.

While technically it works, i wouldn't rely on it. I doubt it will last long considering how hot it gets.

The adapter arrived just as it looks in the picture, and it sports a much better form-factor than the clunky alternatives found on Amazon. It's worth noting that the black circle next to the USB input is a blue LED indicator light, letting you know that the device has power. However, the blue light is rather bright. While I like the blue light, some might find it distracting when driving at night; it lights up a good bit of the car.

In my older Infiniti, I have to twist the adapter to find the sweet-spot to get it to hold a charge in the cigarette lighter. I think the problem may lie more with my car than the adapter, though. Once I find the sweet-spot, the adapter works just fine.

When I used the adapter in a 1996 Camry, I had a different result. The adapter worked just fine immediately. I tried twisting the unit to recreate the problem from the first car, but it never lost charge. I actually ran into an unexpected problem. The 1996 Camry has a recessed cigarette lighter, and the nice, small adapter fit into it absolutely flush -so flush that I couldn't pull it out. I ended up having to loop string around the adapter and pull it out that way (worked like a charm).

The adapter seems to work just fine, and I have no problem recommending this for purchase -just make sure your car doesn't have an overly-recessed lighter.

In one of the product reviews... the person mentioned that the big light on the front is blue, but on the version I recently bought from the Eforcity storefront, it illuminates red (which is fine by me). The light turns on immediately once it is plugged into a running car. I have yet to charge my device fully in the car, so I don't know if the light changes color or not. However, I think the mobile phone has its own control function when the battery is fully charged anyway.

Essentially, this adapter converts your cigarette lighter port into a USB port. The adapter is called "mini" due to its general size as it is much less bulkier than your regular car adapters/chargers. Thus to help with those that may still be confused, the port is not for a mini-USB connector, as it sports a standard USB port. You will need to also purchase a seperate USB cord for charging. For my HTC Evo, I bought a micro USB to standard USB cord which works perfectly so far. Great product and very affordable!

This is a great idea and I was very excited about receiving my chargers (got two of them) but was very disappointed after plugging in my iPhone. Although it will "charge" the phone, I am very concerned about the power it's throwing out. Both the charger and the phone get extremely hot and on some cases, the phone will rapidly cycle in and out of "charge mode."

Also, this charger doesn't fit flush in the dash like I had hoped. It goes in all the way to where the lip is near the front.

Last, there is an extremely bright blue LED that remains on whether a device is plugged in or not. Normally, I LOVE blue LED's but this is similar to having one of those mini LED flashlights shining out from your dash.

The one plus is that it was cheap but if you're looking for a plausible USB iPhone charger, I would look elsewhere.

I did not buy this battery from Amazon, but the exact same product from a battery supplier on eBay (actually paid $5 less and got free shipping too).

This was purchased for a Kidtrax Dodge Charger police car ride-on toy, but is also the same as the battery in our Power Wheels John Deere Gator of the same basic size. This battery should work for just about any later model electronic riding toys that uses a 12-volt battery... Kidtrax, Power Wheels, etc.

Keep in mind: this is somewhat plug-and-play ready, but requires a little extra work. This aftermarket battery will not have the Kidtrax and/or Power Wheels specialty connectors installed or included. However, those propritary plugs are attached to a plastic outer casing on your original battery and can be removed pretty easily. You need a small pry bar or screwdriver to pop off plastic connectors on each side of the cap, then disconnect the battery "spade" connections under the plastic cap. Be careful not to break anything, because you will re-use those connections and cap on the replacement battery.

That original plastic Kidtrax or Power Wheels battery cap can be reinstalled on the new aftermarket battery by reversing the above process, and with a little work you have spent half the amount (or less) than Kidtrax or Power Wheels would have charged for the same thing with connectors already attached.

Inexpensive compared to alot of the 12v batteries out there. Very easy to install, just pop the top off the old battery and put it on the new one and plug it up to charge! 24 hours later, my kids were enjoying their Dodge Charger Police Car. After the first initial charge, the battery only requires 12-14 hours to charge. Great product, great price!
