Great battery. I got this battery for a 99 Honda Shadow VT600CD Motorcycle, and it's been great, virtually no maintenance(it was a pain in the ass to install, due to where the battery goes in my bike no fault of the product itself) and has started every single time.

I got my bike used months ago and the previous owner always had power issues he couldn't sort out (flickering lights, stalling out every once in a while, requiring a push start or jump start almost every cold start) and after touching up some general wiring I still had minor issues and especially the failure to start, so I ordered this battery here. I was skeptical at first due to the excellent price, but after putting this battery in my bike it has started like a champ, immediately, every time. I've now been running my bike for several weeks with this battery, as I wanted to be sure it had solved my problem before writing this review, and it's been doing great I haven't had to push start the bike a single time since.

After testing this device for two weeks, here's my take... I have it connected to my 12 volt / 305 watt solar array. It really cranks out the power! It's silent until the fans starts when it reaches 50 watts or so. I have it plugged into a Kill-A-Watt meter so I can see exactly how many watts and amps are being generated at all times. My electric meter goes to zero even with the refrigerator, desktop computer, HDTV and other small appliances running. This means that my solar panels are generating enough power to run everything in the house without using City Power. I have a Blue Line digital meter connected to my electric meter and it lets me know how much City Power is being used. The electric meter will zero out, but not spin backwards. This is fine with me since I can use the power that my solar panels are producing rather than constantly charging batteries that are never used since there has not been a power failure at my house since 2006. Back up power is fine, but you really want to use the power that your solar panels are generating NOW. Note: All of my solar panels combined are 305 watts and with full sunshine, the device runs until the electric meter goes to zero state and stays there until clouds pass by. It has never shown any sign of having a problem with more than 250 watts being connected to it. The fan cycles on and off but it's not overheating since the box itself is only warm.

Hey had my doubts, but this actually works... hook your solar panels to it, plug it into the electric socket, and your going..., i watched the electric meter actually stop for 2 hours.... in the heat of summer! Been using it every day now for 3 mths now. Only have 55 watts worth of solar panels...got to remember your refrigerator, and freezer only run intermittently,, so it takes fewer watts than you think to make a difference....

am hoping I can hook a small wind generator to it, though it says for solar power. so long as i dont go over 250 watts or 30volts, thinking it might work... and can get another one of these and plug in another outlet... might go for a 500 watt grid tie inverter one day, thought I would start small...!

This unit works as advertised but beware that in many areas you must have a co-generation permit to install this. The cost of the permit will be way more than you would ever save with it. Smart Meters easily detect that you've plugged this in and WILL report this to your power company. Without the Smart Meter it's hard for the power company to detect.

If you're in an area where you don't need a permit, then this could be for you. I tested one out and don't see any problems with it.

Just as described. Works great. I was skeptical about this when I first saw it, but doubts disappeared after use and testing. Using this to connect a 100 watt solar panel, and a 12 volt battery bank to the grid. Killawatt meter shows it's making almost 100 watts on a clear day connected to the PV panel. Slows down the meter on the house. Waiting for next power bill to see energy savings. The cheapest and easiest way to connect your solar panels to the grid.

After reading up and watching videos on U-Tube, I decided to buy this product along with a kill-a-watt meter. Everything was just as is. Just plug in and start saving. I have 3 45 watt solar panels I bought from Harbor Freight, I have 4 marine deep cycle batteries hooked up. When running 12 volts to the grid tie inverter the output is only around 120 to 125 watts that you are putting back. When I wired the batteries in series and hooked up 24 volts to the grid tie inverter I was putting back 230 to 240 watts. Just make sure your wiring is correct. Don't want to blow the inverter up. Only wished I bought the 500 or 1000 watt instead because I intend on expanding and adding wind turbines to my setup. Recomend you go to Missouriwindandsolar.com They have great products at a reasonable price. That is where I intend to purchace my wind turbine from. Hopes this review helps. Tony from Indy.

Bought this because I found an ipod shuffle at a yard sale for $1.50, but it had no cables with it.

Well, sure wasn't gonna pay Apple $20+ for a charger dock dock.

This work super, loads the puppy full of songs extremely fast, also charges faster then I'd expected too. And its a single compact piece that easily tucks in my pocket. Or, it has a lanyard hole if you wanted to tie it to your Ipod and it'd always be handy, buts small enough you'd barely notice it.

If you order from this vendor AMCCTVSHOP, I can assure you mine works perfectly upon arrival, and its solidly built. And they were very good at following up contact with me to assure i was pleased and that the utem met my needs... very professional!! Well worth it!

This is the perfect accessory for those power sockets tucked deep inside the center console storage bin. The two USB sockets allow you to charge almost any combination of devices, while the open power socket in the center provides a place for a third device to be plugged in. You could probably even stack two of these things if you rotated the upper one to provide clearance for the wires.

If you plan on using this in a dash mounted socket, you need to be aware that it projects out a fair distance. With the USB cords plugged in, it came close to interfering with the gear shift on my car. For that location, you might look at more compact units that don't have the center socket.

I bought this adapter because I really needed a USB port in the car to charge my phone. I opted for the adapter with 2 USB outlets and the extra socket so that I could also accommodate my GPS and iPod charger if necessary. So far, the adapter has worked perfectly and exactly as described. As other reviewers noted, it is a little large, but I have ample space in front of my power outlet, so this wasn't really an issue. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a multi-port car-to-USB adapter. Even with the added shipping cost, it was still a fraction of the price that these things sell for at Radio Shack.

If I just charge with my cellphone/gps off it works okay (though the current is just about the same as connect to my laptop, i.e. half of connect to an external charger). But the second I turn them on, especially gps, the current drops down to 1mA and the battery of my cell will go dead either way. Now I got a charger for nexus one made by google and it works flawlessly. The conclusion is: serious flaw with the charger, be aware!

I've never reviewed anything before, but I really enjoyed this product and it doesn't have any reviews so I thought I'd review it.

It feels like it's of pretty high quality. One of the reasons why I am particularly happy with it is that I bought it for about $16:-D (price mistake?). I'm running my laptop off of it currently (dell 15 inch with discrete graphics) and it hasn't even gotten warm. I haven't been able to get the fan to turn on, hopefully the loads I've used it for are too low and it's not actually broken.

It comes with both a cigarette adapter and alligator clips for connecting directly to a car battery (or other DC source). I like that it has 2 plugs, though it would be nice to have an USB plug also...but I can't complain:).

Anyways, I don't think I would have bought it for $40, but it's definitely worth that much (I'm just cheap)

This item seems to ship for PA, it only took 2 days to arrive.

It comes in a blister pack and is surprisingly small, included is a tiny 19 page manual, 32" Direct to battery cord with medium sized alligator clamps, and a 32" inch cord with a cigarette lighter plug, and of course the inverter unit itself. The dimensions of the unit are 5"L by 2" high by 3.5" wide.

Tested using a small 8Amp 12v SLA AGM battery.

The unit's manual specifies that the Low Battery alarm will sound at 10.7 volts, however it's actually 11.00 volts. The alarm can not be turned off, so I did not experiment to see what voltage the unit would cut off at. At the Battery Cut Off voltage specified in the manual (10 Volts) your battery would be destroyed. However it's unlikely anyone would be leave the thing running for that long, without noticing the VERY LOUD alarm. a typical car battery probably has at least 300-600watts of storage (for one hour), and is recharged faster then the inverter could deplete it if the car is running.

The internal fan never came on, the manual specifies it will only come on under a load of 100watts. i've only tested a 60watt laptop and it ran without any problems, with the inverter only becoming warm.

I don't see anyone having trouble drawing 300 watts from a car battery due to the batteries voltage drop under load, I tested a 0.7v drop under heavy load with a tiny 8Amp SLA battery for lamp, there were no problems powering electronic equipment.

So, in summery, the alarm sounds at a reasonable battery voltage, but the cut off voltage is useless. The device does not draw an appreciable current while idle, but you might want to disconnect it when not in use anyway to protect the cars battery during extended storage of the car (-5Amps/day). This is a pretty awesome product for a $20 inverter, but it's probably not really all that wise to run sensitive electronics on it for long periods of time, you know, like days.

We bought these for our daughter for out at our summer vacation campsite, she loves them cause she and her friends can go run and play and we can check on there where abouts or they check in with us. we also use them at home when she goes to a friends house. the signal strength/range is very good she can go blocks away. she got lost looking for a friends house and called me asap i was able to talk to her while i went to find her, made it nice cause she told me the street sign where she was at and we found her right away. we decided to see how true the range was and took one to the video store which was 15 to 20 city blocks from my home and we got awesome reception, some static but not bad at all. the next test will be going further to see if they do have true range. if you want a nice product for this type of use i suggest it.

These radios were bought as a test for other radios from the midland product line. They were used nov 5-12 2012 on private land approx. 800 acres 200 of which is wooded the rest farmland. There is nothing but hills and valleys here where my family hunts in the 200 wooded. We have no base station between the radios. The reception is great, clarity of the sound as well. We have since decided to purchase more of these rather than the more costly ones from midland radio line. They have done very well for us and will continue to use them time and time again. I purchased this as a gift for my 12-year old. We have had many of these in the past and they are great forms of communication for your kids in the neighborhood, at a theme park, or wherever. I know how to work them, I know how to charge the batteries and like many many other folks pointed out THE BATTERIES WILL NOT CHARGE. And like many other people I was foolish enough to think Midland would respond to my requests for support. They did not. Only postive here is that Amazon was easy on the return policy and they should be commended for it. Midland not a company worth trusting.

I just wanted to pass along that this wonderful charger works with the iPhone 3G. It's very difficult to find an affordable third-party charger that is compatible with the iPhone 3G. I just had to return 2 chargers from another manufacturer that would display the charging icon on the iPhone for only 2 minutes and then revert to the "Plugged In" icon which signifies no charge is being provided. These chargers are very difficult to find as many sites don't even list them as Zip-Linq, they sometimes list them as a generic type of USB charger.

I thought it would be helpful to list the specs that Amazon doesn't that are on the back of the charger just in case you want to search for another charger with the correct power output:

I just got this battery charger to be used with an Invacare Pronto Electric WC. So far, it did what it's suppose to do. But the best part of this charger is that it costs only $40 compared to $200 or more if you buy it through a healthcare company. Go figure! Even if it has to be replaced every couple years, it still does the job and costs only 1/5 of what the "professional" one costs.
