I was slightly concerned at first because of the 3.1A rating I did not want to overload my phone. After receiving the product it says the output is 5.0V, up to 2100mA per port. This is exactly the same as iPad charger. The 3.1A is the total output if you have multiple devices plugged in. I've used this a couple times and it works great. Now my wife and I both can charge our iPhones in the car. Also anyone with an iPhone 5 can use this with the new lightning usb cable to charge their phone on the go.

The charger is well designed, has a matte black finish that has a slight rubber feel to it, not the cheap gloss plastic feel that most car chargers have. It's not bulky either and has a nice blue LED on the side when it has power.

I also like the generic design of the USB charger you can use this for any device, whether it be an android phone that has a micro USB input, an iPhone/iPod/iPad with a 30-pin connector, or the iPhone 5 and new iPods with the lightning connector. Just use your existing USB cable and you are ready to go.

Many chargers claim a 2A output, but that only holds true for ipads. This charger will actually output 2A for non-ipads/iphones. I use my Galaxy Nexus LTE to stream Pandora while using Google Navigation, and the charger is still able to charge about 7% per half hour. There are so many sketchy sellers selling phone chargers out there, that it can be a bit scary. The problem is that if the charger is poorly made, the output of the charger can be out of spec and can, in some cases, fry the phone you connect to it.

For that reason, when it comes to phone chargers, you should stick to name brands. (They are all made in China, but the name brand ones are usually subject to stricter QA).

When I found this charger on Amazon, SOLD BY AMAZON, I jumped on it. It's a MICRO USB car charger, made for Motorola and sold under the Motorola name, in retail packaging. The rated output is 4.75-5.25V and 950mA.

This charger should work fine with most any phone that uses the MICRO USB connector. The key number to pay attention to is the second one, the rated amperage. This is the MAXIMUM amount of current that the phone can request from the charger. A typical USB port on a PC provides as little as 100mA, and few provide more than 500mA. So this charger should charge your phone faster than when it's connected to a PC. A few phones out now can use up to 1000mA. But that just means they CAN use that amount. If 950mA is provided, they'll still charge, just a bit more slowly.

Note that the amperage (second number) merely tells you how much the charger CAN supply, if requested. The phone itself is responsible for asking for the current. That is to say, if this charger can provide 950mA, but your phone can only use 300mA--no problem. Your phone asks for 300mA and the charger provides all of what is requested. If, on the other hand, your phone can use 1000mA, this charger will provide all it can, which is 950mA--a wee bit less than the max asked for. That's also not a problem; it just means your phone will charge a little bit (not much in this case) more slowly. The rated voltage for this charger is presented in a range of 4.75-5.25V. The "ideal" voltage for a USB charger of any type if 5V. And most chargers for home use are rated right at 5V. But car chargers work in a noisier environment and thus you have the range. This is where a cheapo charger can really do damage, as some of them are poorly regulated and can provide voltages that are WAY out of spec. Again, when you can get a name brand charger from a seller you can trust (Amazon) for such a reasonable price, it's very foolish to consider the cheapo no-names.

This is an excellent quality name brand travel micro USB charger at a price that beats the no-name junk from third party sellers. What's not to like?

I use my Droid Incredible as my primary GPS car navigator, so I needed a car charger that could keep up with the power needs of Google Maps with the GPS running. The Belkin USB adapter says it puts out 1A, but my Incredible showed that is was only getting a trickle-charge (500 mA) from it, because the Belkin charger does not implement the latest USB charger standard (short the data pins for a fast charge).

This charger shows up as an AC charger on my Incredible, and it is able to charge my phone even while I am using it for GPS navigation. Recommended for any newer phone that uses a micro-USB connector.

The version of this charger shipped to me is a knock-off. There is no Motorola sticker, the micro-USB connector end is a snap-together part, rather than overmolded like the real version. The PVC cable overmold is mis-shaped, the contact springs are weak and the fit and finish of the plastic parts are low quality. So, it is just a car charger, right? Maybe. But what if the electronics are sub-standard also? What if the PVC overmold is contaminated as well? I am going to return this item and not plug it into Wife's phone.

First things first: IF (and that's IF) you get the genuine OEM Motorola charger listed here, the SPN5400/P513/89143N, it works great with modern smart phones like the Motorola Droid, The Incredible, The Google Nexus One, etc. Basically, if your phone has a micro USB connector (and almost all of the newer generation smart phones do), then this is the charger for you.

That said: Not every seller is selling the right item. There are lots of reports of people getting the wrong charger (I've had this happen myself). Your best bet: Amazon, who not only IS selling the correct charger, but has the best price, when you factor in shipping, provided you qualify for free shipping from Amazon (either with Prime, or if your order is > $25).

The Amazon-as-seller listing for this charger can be found here, at least at the time of this review. Search through the sellers to find Amazon. Their price, if you get free shipping from Amazon, is the cheapest, or close to it. And you are guaranteed of getting the correct item, brand new, retail.

had issues with the battery life about 6 months after the initial use. Battery didn't hold its charge very long. seller was going to send me a new one but at the last minute, they decided it was past my warranty date. I told the seller I had problems earlier in the year with the battery and but they backed out last minute and asked me "why didn't I report the problem earlier?" so I told them I don't use the battery often enough to inspect or monitor any probems unless the battery doesn't work at all.This is where I am now.

Much cheaper than factory replacement. The only issue I had were the terminals were slightly smaller than the one that came from the factory installed in the ION amplifier. I bought this vest to be seen while running in the dark, early morning hours here in the PacNW. When I first put it on and turned on the lights, my 5 year-old exclaimed with all the innocent admiration of a 5 year-old, "Mom! You look like a Christmas Tree!" This vest is so bright, it lights up the reflective street signs ahead of me. I figure if I get hit while wearing this vest, the driver meant to hit me, and my family can sue big time. I hope that it might also frighten away any of the larger wildlife that are resident in the area. On the down side, it is a little stiff, and for my small frame (size 6) a little large, even with everything in as snug as it can go. I had to sew the overlap at the sides in place so it would stay without flapping around. It took a couple of runs to get used to wearing it, but now it doesn't bother me. Anyway, it does the job very well--worth the money I spent, and I don't feel nervous about getting hit along the dark, rural roadways I run along.

I bought this vest because I like to run and I tend to do so after dark. Not only is it effective in letting drivers know where you are, it alse serves are a decent lantern if it is completely dark and you need to see where you're going so you don't twist an ankle.

The only issue I have with it is that it is a little bulky if you have a smaller frame. Also, while it is light weight, it's not weightless. It won't slow you down but it does take some getting used to if you are used to running unhindered.

Having such effective reflective gear is worth any damper this would put on your workout. Also, you can use it while Trick-or-Treating with the kids if they'll be seen with you. Your coolness level will take a serious dip when you are running around with the dorky flashing reflector vest, but hey, are you try to get a workout or be a fashion plate? Get over it and get on the road!

This is a splendid product.

Our apartment complex consists of several buildings off of a main street in suburban Boston: the primary route through the complex is one way. Resultantly, folks often proceed a little too quickly 'round the loop to get to their parking spaces.

This vest has proven quite useful, as I note folks moving considerably slower around my dog and me when I'm flashing probably something not too many folks have seen. After a week or two of use, they're more used to it, though the slow driving continues. (Note: The lights may flash or be steady-lit.)

The material is pretty resilient, and there is Velcro for variations in size and fit. Someone both clumsy and bulky might find a way to rip the seems: it's not put together for a moonwalk. Additionally, the battery pack could be a bit more securely connected to its cabling. But if you're reasonably careful, there'll be no problems...

Although it might look like overkill, I find it very useful: I do believe it increases the safety of me and whoever is with me while walking.

References for size (I use its smallest configuration): 5'8" @ 130lbs with std leather jacket waist 30"; with heavy winter coat I'm now using: "waist" @ 36" and there's plenty of room to expand further with the Velcro.

This is the US model (ECS-K1F8BEGSTA) and does not have 3 pins, nor does it have connectors on the base so you can leave your dock plugged into the audio and power ports.

Do not buy this model unless it's updated in place with the correct version. (Search Amazon for a similar model, ECS-K1F2BEGSTD, which is advertised as for the Nexus S, and has similar complaints but those seem to have been resolved. I'm not sure if ECS-K1F2BEGSTD works for Galaxy Nexus but if so, that would be the one to buy.)

Just search for "ECS-K1F8BEGSTA" online and you'll see many people complaining about it.

It is NOT a real navigation mode car dock -in other words, there are not three metal pins on the inside of the plastic holder, which would initiate "car mode" -so this will not work as described. It does NOT put your Galaxy Nexus into navigation / car mode upon plugging it in.

What's worse, the connectors for audio and power have to be plugged directly in to the phone and CANNOT be left plugged into the base of the dock, which thereby makes it NOT A DOCK, either. (A "dock" is something you plug your device into without having to plug in the cables and connectors as well. This is a holder, not a dock.)

I got this dock from Verizon when I bought my Galaxy Nexus on release day. What a piece of garbage. Does not have the 3 pin connector. Tell me, why would I buy this overpriced hunk of junk when I could get a generic mount for a lower price that actually leaves space for you to plug into it?

I came from the Droid X and an easy dock to use and had power in the dock. This dock is hard to use, I have to force the phone in and even harder to remove from the dock, sometimes dropping the phone in the car. Then the external power cable has to be connected to the phone in the dock. The Galaxy Nexus has three pins to charge the phone but this dock does not have this capability, the European version does. I have the VW Jetta that has a long reach to the windshield, so it is a long reach to work with the phone. It also is not very adjustable to angle the phone to remove light glare on the phone screen. Overall this is a cumbersome, hard to use dock with out power. I mount it to a bean bag I have for the Garmin.

This is the worst design for a car mount that I could possibly ever imagine. It is semi-hard rubber product, and it is EXTREMELY difficult to get the phone in and out of it -it puts a Death Grip on the phone, 360 degrees around all edges. Is that REALLY NECESSARY?!?!?! REALLY!?!?!?! My Nexus is not a hardened criminal convict that will do anything to escape the clutches of a car mount! It's just a phone! I shouldn't need both hands and a whole squad of Chuck Norrises to extract my phone from its car mount!

Also, rather than just have cut-outs for the volume and power buttons, they made a rubber "skin" to cover the buttons. It works OK but WHY!?!?!?! Also, the cut-outs for the micro-usb power and 3.5mm jacks are WAY TOO SMALL and do not allow most cables to be used. The power adapter that comes with it has a tiny little narrow plug, so that's OK, but TOUGH LUCK if you want to use any other normal micro-usb charger.

Samsung, you should be ashamed of yourself. This thing is a piece of garbage.

After major surgery with a Dremel tool to extract 80% of the unnecessary death-grip edging, I finally have a butchered product that I only need one hand to insert or extract my phone. Hooray indeed.

I think it's definitly good that you can play about 15 hours in the car at maximum because you don't usually drive that long. But the 15 hours, fortunatly is only for the car, after the 15 hours, if your batteries have full power, you can play for 10 more hours. So in total you can play 1 day and 1 hour. But if you get in the car and you put it in and then someone starts the car it restarts. Lastly it doesn't stay in to your Gameboy that well sometimes, but that doesn't really matter because most times it stays in as well as headphones.

I've found cell phone accessories to be extremely hit-or-miss when it comes to quality. I figured this charger was worth a shot since it was only a few bucks. I'm actually pleasantly surprised at it's quality. It's not as nice as those sold directly from a cell phone carrier, but at less than 10% of the cost, I can afford for it to not last quite as long. The retractable mechanism works well enough--time will tell if it stays reliable, but after a month or so of steady use it's still functional. The overall quality of the charger is average. The plastic it's made from feels a bit cheap, but then you do get what you pay for. In this case, the charger is so inexpensive it's not that big a deal to me if doesn't become a family heirloom.

Purchased a second retractable Car Charger for my HTC HD2.

The first retractable that was misplaced worked without

an issue so I decided to repurchase. You have to realize

that this item if purchased from HTC would cost over $30.

So at $2.00 you can expect the life of the item to

be minimum. The retractable idea is wonderful but

has always retracted if slightly touched. Not that much

room around adapter in any vehicle.

This second retractable stopped working on the third week

of use. So it isn't even worth the shipping and handling

to return the item. But if you are able to get one that

works you will enjoy the purchase. It is a hit and miss.

This cord was a replacement to the original power cord that came with our original Insignia DVD players. We felt lucky to have found a quick replacement as Best Buy did not carry what we needed. We did get the product quickly, but after using it just a few times, it wasn't connecting properly so we had intermittent power issues. Since there really aren't many options for a replacement, other than getting an all new DVD set up, we are going to try again with ordering yet another power cord. This works fine, but I thought it would be longer. There was no specification of the length in the product description. From the picture I thought it would reach from the front to the back seat of the car with lots of slack (I have a small SUV)--but isn't that long. It does reach but not with lots left over for passing the DVD player around.

Item exactly as described and most importantly-priced! Item does what it supposed to do, charge my BB. 5 stars. Also wanted to add that last week I was at the local mall and stopped by a cell phone accessory kiosk to browse, and what do you know, the same exact brand of charger was selling for $12.99 ea! I paid less than $5 (.02 + 4.96 s/h) for 2 here on Amazon!

The charger works perfectly, however many other chargers list that they ensure the battery doesn't over/under charge and are protected from surges. This one makes no claims on this, so I would be wary of leaving your phone charged without supervision.

****Update: The charger stopped working within a few weeks. Here's the deal you cannot stress the cord at ALL. If you can set your phone in a secure location in the car with no stress on the cord or connection this will work great. If you try to use the phone while plugged in or it bumps around it will stop working very quickly. The wires inside are the width of human hair.

Since the price was free, I feel that this purchase is worthwhile. However, unknowingly I unplugged the charger which has a fuse that connects the charger to the plug. The problem with this is that the fuse fell out of the charger when I unplugged it and fell on the floor. I tried to use the charger in another vehicle and it did not work. Eventually I figured out what happened. The charger seems to work fine.

I love listening to sirius in my office during the day. The channels I like to listen to are Court TV and CNN, which are not available via the computer. The only down side to the boombox is that there is no carrying handle. There is a place to put one's hand, but it is not conducive to carrying. It is perfect if you are going to put in one place and keep it there.

Here is the new and updated version of the SIR-BB2! Since they do not make the BB2 anymore, this is what you want if you have the PNP3 as it'll allow you to take the boombox anywhere! Note, the PNP2 and other Sirius receivers will not work with this, only the PNP3.

Improvements include a better and lounder volume so that if you're outside you'll hear the program much better! The volume is adjusted by either pushing a down or up button. Also it's not as "thick" as the BB2.

Plug in some D Cell batteries and you can go portable with it!

It includes an adapter to plug in, and 20 wire and antenna for reception. Note many with Sirius have to put the antenna just outside their window facing the appropriate direction (read directions). And everyone can get reception, it's just a matter of proper antenna placement.

You may want to look into getting the 50 foot Sirius antenna extension cable (see above for item information) to connect both antenna wire and boombox. You can connect up to 2 of them making a total of 125 feet of antenna wire.
