This charger is absolutely horrible. The first one I ordered never worked. The LED on the wall charger would not even turn on. I emailed the seller and got a new wall charger. To my frustration, when I charged my phone, the plastic at the charging end got stuck in my phone and I cant take it out. The charging end only has two metal parts sticking out. Every time I need to charge my phone, I have to carefully insert these metal parts into the phone (which already has the plastic piece stuck in it). Thus the car charger is of no use, unless I carefully break it to remove the plastic part from the charging end, and let the metal prongs remain.

I guess, you get what you pay for.

Just came back from a trip to Central/Europe. The adapter works as advertised. I had no problems with it. Yes, all the outlets in Europe are the recessed type. However, regarding Amazon reviewers such as TravelGuru who posted a review, I'm not sure if I should fault the reviewer for not knowing how to operate the equipment or the manufacturer for not providing explicit instructions. The adapter prongs screw out, so there is no problem with recessed outlets. I would recommend this adapter.

This travel adapter worked pretty well while we were in Italy and France. The only complaint I have is that the plug portion is not very long. There were many outlets in Italy and France that were somewhat recessed, which meant that this adapter would not work because it got too big too close to the plug (or the plug was not long enough). If the outlet was flush with the wall, there were no issues. Luckly we had a few different adapters for these types of outlets. The size is great (small), compared to other adapters.

I bought three of these units, one for each car. I used the first one more than a year later and it worked! I was up and running in about 5 or 10 minutes, as the unit had said. I used the second one several months later after leaving the lights on in the car it worked then too! The 3rd one was used when I helped another guy whose battery was dead. I had no need to contact the company so I can't comment on other reviewers talking about disconnected phone numbers, but from my own personal experience, they are very handy to have in a pinch. And yes, they are a 1-time use disposable unit.

I was excited to try this out, so I ordered 2 of them.

Item arrived quickly. However, it should be noted that the small charger says that it is for 1 use only. So, I am going to wait until it is absolutely necessary before trying it out. I thought that it could be used more than once (then charge it up), so next time I will read the documentation more carefully.

Disappointed.

I used this kit to install a dual battery setup on my boat along with a Blue Sea 7650 switch. I ended up using the Blue Sea voltage sensing relay as this one feels cheap and did not make me have confidence in its ability to do the job over the long run. The kit needs to come with at least double the amount of tinned copper lugs (the cable ends that connect to the terminals) because there is simply not enough in this kit. I had to go to my local autoparts store and buy more to complete my install. The same was true with the shrink wrap....simply not enough to do a complete install. I guess they don't expect you to install a switch along with it...but how do they expect you to control the power if you don't install a switch along with it.

In the end I would have saved money if I would have just bought the tinned copper lugs and wire separate.

I needed a car charger for my wife's Samsung A850 flip phone. Our carrier ( Verizon ) no longer carries any parts or accessories for this phone. I searched for it on Amazon and ordered what appeared to be a good quality replacement charger for her phone. The charger arrived within 3-4 working days and appeared to be of the same quality as her original one. The key aspect was how it performed. I'm happy to report that the charger has been working flawlessly for over a month now and she is very satisified.

One note of caution. There are other cheaper "Chinese " model chargers out there that claim to do the same thing. Be very careful when ordering them. Her original Verizon/Samsung charger would "turn off" when the appropriate charge was achieved. The new charger I purchased does too and cost more too. Many claim to shut off so use your best judgement. If the charger doesn't shut off, you risk ruining the phone or worse.....have a fire when the charger overheats.

We've been very happy with this charger so far and would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

Battery is exactly as advertised, and a steal for an AGM battery. Only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of five is I had to slightly enlarge the holes on my bike's cable contacts to fit the bolts that came with the battery.

I bought the Powerex Stealth charger with the 3 Powerex batteries plus 1 single battery so I would have 4 batteries for my wife's Shure dual mic system she uses at home to sing karaoke. After a little less than a year all four batteries have bit the dust. One at a time the batteries refused to recharge and now all are bad, red lights on the charger flash and no recharging takes place. The batteries probably have less than 50 charge cycles on them, advertisement claims "hundreds" of charge cycles.

I work with audio production and needed rechargeable 9V batteries for my wireless transmitters and receivers. Those batteries didn't work at all with my Seinheiser transmitters and worked only for a short time with my receivers. I just called Maha Energy (the manufacturer) who told me they'd replace the charger and batteries. But since the charger seems to be working fine, I'm having doubts that I got 4 malfunctioning batteries. What are the odds of that happening? Anyway, just thought I'd let you know so you don't go through the same hassle I did. I guess I should stick with the renown brands even if they cost more.

I first bought this system for use with wireless microphones that eat 9vdc batteries and do not perform well with the 7.2 volt rechargable nicad cells. The problem has always been that with the same number of cells inside the 9v stack at 1.2 V instead of 1.5V you loose .3 V x 6 cells or 1.8 volts which drops the typical rechargable cell from 9V to 7.2 V.

Transmitters don't work well on 7.2 volts of typical rechargable "9v" batteries. You also tend to want a fresh charge on your battery before use which is where this product comes in.

It adds an extra cell to get you 9.5 volts which is typical of normal batteries.

The con: The batteries are only about 230-250 mah instead of the alkaline 500 mah so you do not get the same runtime. The charger is well made and indicates when the cells are charged.

These are recommended for use when you know that you want a charged battery and don't mind recharging it when done (example using it for a wireless mic). The higher voltage will make the product work well and you won't be wondering if the battery is fully charged or not you will know it is full every time. For people who use alot of 9V batteries, this will pay for itself in a short amount of time.

The product is built very good, the charger give you red and green lights to let you know the batteries are depleted or charged, I would give this product 5 stars if the batteries would power the security camera for about 4 hours, they last about 2-3 hours, but the camera signal is stable until the end of the charge. Problem: The 3g iPhone drains your battery like no other. If you're on a road trip or if you use the GPS extensively, you're going to need a car charger.

What we were looking for: I've read too many horror stories of third party chargers bricking iPhones. So I wanted something reliable. I looked for items they sold at the apple store here on Amazon, as it is much cheaper here. I figured if Apple was selling them, they must be more reliable than these other cheaper alternatives that have been damaging phones.

Pros:

1. USB! I think this will be the trend for chargers. More and more chargers will be USB cords, so you won't have to get a billion tips for your different devices. You just plug in the USB cord that came with your product in the first place. This is a 5.5 V system, so both my iPhone and my Jawbone work.

2. Fuse: I like that it has a fuse. Its very reassuring after reading how many iPhones have been messed up by third party chargers.

3. Dual USB on the powerblock (AC home wall adapter not cigarettelighter). You can charge 2 usb devices at once. Note that the powerjolt (cigarette lighter adapter) only has 1 usb port. I've read that other car adapters that incorporate 2 usb ports hum annoyingly.

4. Small car adapter unit: barely sticks out.

Cons:

1. The powerblock is a bit bulky. I was planning on taking this with me on trips, but I think I'll take the iPhone charger instead and leave this one at home.

Conclusion: Great car charger for the 3g iPhone, with a fuse for assurance. The powerblock unit has 2 usb devices allowing you to charge 2 usb devices at once. Just use your usb cable, no more annoying car charger adapter tips to deal with.

Overall, this is a great product, or two products. Unlike most other iPhone/iPod chargers, this requires you to provide your own USB to dock connector cable(s). But, I have several of these that I've accumulated over the years, so it's not a problem for me. Plus, I like that I can power/charge other USB devices, like my Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx 2.6-Inch Mapping Handheld GPS (for use in the car) and my Jawbone Bluetooth Headset with NoiseAssassin-Black (Jawbone II). I like how the ring around the car charger glows different colors depending on whether the iPod is charging or fully charged. This is also the first car charger I've seen with a changeable fuse, in case it's necessary. My only complaint is that Griffin could have put two USB ports in the car charger so both units could charge two devices (I have seen some other solutions that include two USB ports, like the Scosche USB12V2 Dual USB Car Charger).

Griffin makes good products and the PowerDuo Charger is a good product that does what is needed. I have the 12volt plugged into the car and the dual home charger in the house. It sure is nice to be able to plug in an iPod for a charge without all the syncing that comes with charging on the Mac.

This product works for our 2g Touch and 4g Nano. Any iPod that charges over USB should work with this. At a discounted Amazon price and with the reputation of Griffin; I couldn't go wrong. Highly recommended.

I like both items. The car charger is the best. It's tiny and unassuming. The red and green light let's you know easily if the phone is charged or not. The dual charger is cool to charge more than one product. My only gripe is that it pulls out of sockets easily. but that's not a reason not to buy it all. It's small and convenient and cuts down on the bulk of multiple chragers having to be carried.

I do have 2 vehicles and 2 motorbikes. Low batteries is for me something of the past. It's just a matter of leaving this charger connected and when or the day you like to use your vehicles the battery is fully charged ready for take of.

And this is no nonsence testimony. I even purchased the solar charger model, and this perfoms owesome.

Works well as a volt meter. Okay as a charger (like a super sized trickle charger) but the load is not very large. Would not discharge an anemic group 31 starting battery. Two of my batteries were deemed no good by my Midtronics capacitance tester yet the Save-a-Battery said they were good to go.

I will keep it though because of the eyelet ring cables that will permanently install in my Harley for over winter storage.

I'm satisfied with this PWM PV charge controller. Compared to other charge controllers and even those of PWM or MPPT, this one has the best cost. Only around $30 compared to those that do the same and cost around in the $100's. With PWM techonlogy, the charger is neither on or off like some of the cheaper controllers. Instead it regulates the voltage so it is constantly chargeing and then float chargers when the batteries are full. Also, because the voltage is being regulated closer to the batteries voltage. The batteries do not gas as much. A second thing with PWM controller, the batteries receive pulses of a charge, similar to a battery desulfator. So the batteries plates will not sulfate as much either. I found the charger regualtes the voltage .5V higher than the batteries readings. And float regulate around 13.3V. Controller can handle up to 10Amps (150Watts of PV power) and can control discharge through the controler at 10Amps. Which makes it good for outdoor ligthing or ponds where if the batteries become too low, the controller will automatically shut them down until the batteries are fully recharged.

Here's why this thing rocks:

good screw terminal connections

connections for the solar panel, a battery, AND (this is key) a device you want to hook up TO the solar/battery system.

This last point is awesome it provides a no-brainer way to hook up a device to a regulated / protected solar /battery system, and allows you to use the battery for power when the sun goes down or during cloudy periods in fact, the system automatically delivers power from the battery as needed.

Also critical is a Low Voltage Disconnect for a solar fountain project, I first used another product without the LVD my battery was drained completely overnight, and batteries discharged 100% can't be recharged easily (they register as an open circuit or cause other problems). This unit takes away that worry.

The unit has a switch on it so you can turn on/off the device you're powering right from the unit.

The unit seems to be designed for rural electrification (i.e. remote villages in india needing electric lights at night). It has a conformal coating on the circuit board (anti-rust).

For me, I combined a 500 gph Rule bilge pump, this unit, a 30 watt 12 volt solar panel, and a cheap $35 12 volt tractor battery and I have an AWESOME solar fountain. I'm pretty psyched on this device, and just ordered 2 more.

This device does what it says. Has good indicator lights for status and good quality pinch-screw connectors.

There is one point I wanted to mention. IT MATTERS the order in which you hook up the connections to the battery, load, panel, etc.

Follow the instructions on the little booklet. If you hook up out of sequence, the unit will lock up and not run until it is completely unhooked and then powered up correctly!

I was initially very disappointed with the instructions. The were a low-quality photocopy of condensed instructions and were also reduced 50%.

Another review mentioned hooking up the wires in the proper order being critical well, you can't ever read that part of the booklet because of the lower quality and tiny print.

I visited HQRP.com and made use of their contact form to request a PDF of the instructions and I also made use of their real-time customer support chat. The agent on the chat was able to send me a PDF of the full-size instructions (4 8.5x11 pages). Later that day, I also received a response to their contact form. I was impressed that both forms of customer support received a response.

I bought this same unit from Sears and it has performed well for 10 months using two 6 watt solar panels for input, a 12v car battery and two lamps each with 45 LEDs. Then it stopped working. All I had to do to get it working again was to power it off and on.

It failed again about one month later and again I powered it off and on to recover.

Six weeks later it failed again but this time the power off button would not work (the two leftmost LEDs were on). There was voltage at the solar terminal and the battery terminal but not at the output (light) terminals. I read other customer reviews here and discovered that not hooking up the wires per instructions (awful instructions) can lead to the power button not working as well as the output not being enabled. So, to get it working again, I removed all the wires and hooked them up again in the proper order (noting polarity):

1 neg. battery

2 pos battery

3 neg solar

4 pos solar

5 neg light

6 pos light

Also, note the upper right display is nothing more than a red light indicating power is on.

Hopefully, it will last longer that 4-6 weeks now and if not then I will look for a replacement from a different manufacturer.

Being a Harley rider for almost 20 years, I switched to a sport touring bike, and decided to go with a full face helmet. originally I was excited about the blue tooth option, it's a great idea, but it just doesn't work in this helmet. The noise in the helmet is far too great to even hear anything through the blue tooth, for audio or a phone call. In fact that is likely my biggest complaint with the helmet, it is very noisy. I just use my ipod at almost full volume. The Graphics are ok, it looks good from a distance, but they are decals, it's not a paint job. The shield mechanism works fine, and I haven't experienced too much fogging. Like I said, it's ok, take out the blue tooth and it's probably worth a $80-100 helmet. Honestly I will use it for a while and then plan to spend the money for a Shoei.

When my second helmet arrived the first thing I checked for was cracks, and thankfully it had none only this time the Bluetooth button didn't work properly (sometimes couldn't turn it on, if I got it on then it wouldn't feel like being turned off, and it had a problem with charging) so after waiting another couple weeks hoping it'd get better I decided to call and have another one sent out, I am guessing the third times the charm cause this one works great (aside from some minor charging issues).

Shipping time with amazon prime was pretty good, and the functionality of the working Bluetooth is really good, I can hear my music clearly on the highway. Only downside is I can never really tell if I am getting a call while I am listening to music, and so far I have a hard time understanding everyone on the other end of the conversation if I am going about 40.

Overall if you have the patience to potentially wait as long as I did then get it, if not I'd say try something else with the same technology.

So I bought the helmet because I got a good price on it, and I don't know if I will even hook up the bluetooth. But, I do NOT find the helmet noisy and I'm wondering if the other reviewer has had full face shield helmets before which feel/sound very different from the "helmet" half shells that most of the harley riders wear. I've been shopping around my boyfriend has several helmets that I've worn and I've also used some friend's half shells too. This is among the quieter ones I've used.
