Buy BioLogic Bike Mount for iPhone (fits 3, 3G, 3GS)

BioLogic Bike Mount for iPhone

The Biologic bike mount for iPhone 3GS is very sleek and attractive. It's well designed, engineered, and manufactured. The phone fits well in the case and the home button and the touch screen actually work through it. The volume buttons and sound switches are not accessible, but that's a small price to pay if it indeed is waterproof. I have not tested that yet. They even left a port for the camera lens, so if you have a time lapse video app on your iPhone, you can chronicle your ride. My only beef is that the entire thing is just a few chips of plastic and rubber. When you get it in your hands, the price of $55 feels way too high for what you are holding. The price needs to come down to the same as other iPhone cases (around $30) before I can recommend it. Also bear in mind that you have to take your iPhone out of its usual case to put it in the Biologic case. There is no extra room. That's a bit of a pain. Lastly, the bike mount bracket is entirely plastic and although well designed and simple, it looks like it won't stand up to repeated removal and reattachment. Hopefully Dahon will provide a replacement path for just that part. That would also help out if you have more than one bike, as I do, so I could get a extra mount bracket for each and move the case from bike to bike.

I have used the Biologic Mount now for a few months. The screen enables you to utilize all the functionality of the touchscreen which is great. However, the piece of plastic that snaps the lid on can come off if you hit a bump hard enough. The first time I hit a big pothole which was unavoidable the lid popped open and my iphone skid on the ground much to my horror. Testimony to the iphone as it remained relatively unscathed. The plastic components that snaps the lid shut should be revamped and made more secure to avoid this issue. As a security measure, I added a think rubber band around the base of the case to ensure the case would not pop open again. I usually ride for a couple of hours so I liked the fact that the iphone charger cable could be attached, and I actually ran the cable to a backup battery to extended the battery life of my iphone. It's a good design, but the case really needs to latch more securely to avoid having your iphone fall out midstream.

well, I should have believed in some of the reviews I read. On my first time out with my bike I hit a medium sized pothole and the cover popped open and launched my phone across the road... luckily I was able to retrieve it however only to find a smashed glass front. Of course Apple wants $199 to provide me with a replacement. Perhaps BioLogic will send me the $199 for a product that doesn't hold up under real circumstances? If you were using this on a stationary bike, it should work. If you plan on riding this in the "real" world I ABSOLUTELY advise a rubber band or velcro strap around the unit. Best of luck to you.

Honest reviews on BioLogic Bike Mount for iPhone (fits 3, 3G, 3GS)

This was the best option I could find for mounting my Iphone to my motorcycle handlebars. I wanted something that would offer some water resistance and complete coverage for the phone, while allowing me to see and access the screen for navigation apps, ect. I would rate it five stars, if not for the cons listed below.

Pros:

-case is well designed and is easy to mount, provides decent protection

-holds steady at 70+mph on a naked motorcycle

-looks good and provides full 360 degrees of orientation

-can be adjusted easily while on the go

Cons:

-expensive for a plastic and rubber mount/case

-home button is held on with adhesive and could peel off

Overall, I am happy with this purchase. Amazon seller, safetycycle provided good service and fast, free shipping via USPS. USPS did crush the packaging, but the product inside was undamaged.

Really was looking forward to having a Bike mount for my iPhone. The plastic looks sturdy enough but nowhere near the what's required the bike mount itself is just a bad construction. Can just pull the the iPhone right off, has no security at all... DO NOT PURCHASE! Hoping Otter Cases comes up with something far better....

I used this terminal to replace a broken factory battery terminal. The design allows for removing the battery cables without having to disturb the terminal itself. The tin plated brass is lead free and resists corrosion.

my old battery terminal became stripped after a few years, so I bought this as its replacement. Theres nothing all that special about it, but it gets the job done.

Seller shipped fast. I would buy these so you do not have to replace them like you would have to like the lead ones. Will buy these again.

Honest reviews on Deka 01056 Battery Terminal

This is a very flimsy part. Find something more durable. This thing is for a toy car or something, not a vehicle that you drive on the road!

Question to Amazon.com why are you selling this low-quality item?

Recommendation you can get the specific terminal for your car at parts.com (I like to buy on Amazon, but they just don't cut it for this part).

doesn't seem very durable, or sturdy, but it works... i would go with this again since it was cheap and does the job

I live in Florida, so there is plenty of sunshine. I bought this kit directly from Goal Zero when the new Sherpa 50 first became available (for more than $100 more might I add). I have absolutely no regrets about buying this kit. I use the Nomad 13 solar panels daily to recharge my cellphone. I have a Samsung Galaxy S3, and set my phone out in the morning around 8 AM with around a 65% charge on my phone. By 11:30 AM my phone is close to fully charged. The solar panel even charges on cloudy days, although I usually get only a 90-95% charge. On absolutely rainy days, I use the Sherpa battery to charge my phone. I use approximately 20% of the battery to charge it from 50 to 100%. I have used the battery to recharge a 2nd gen iPad as well as power tool batteries (using the included 12V adapter). I can charge the iPad directly from the solar panels, but it took about 3/4 of the day, rotating the panels periodically. Considering it took me only ~4 hours to fully charge the Sherpa battery, it makes more sense to recharge the iPad directly from the battery than from the solar panel. Even though the new Sherpa is about 1/2 the weight of the old one, I would not recommend using this on casual hiking trips, as it still weighs more than 1 lb. with the solar panel plus the battery plus the inverter. For me, the whole point of hiking is to get way from everything, so I only take my phone for emergencies. I leave the tablet and other electronics behind. I use it on car camping trips and around the house, and couldn't be happier.

Best Deals for Goal Zero 42005 Sherpa 50 Silver/Black Solar Recharging Kit

I recentrly bought the 42005 recharging kit with inverter and I love it.

Everything looks like it's made of good quality material. The charging time is very fast even on winter partially cloudy days.

My only concern was the integrated led light that seems to not active avery time I depress the switch. I worked it a little and it's alot better now (contact oxydation I guess).

Honest reviews on Goal Zero 42005 Sherpa 50 Silver/Black Solar Recharging Kit

First of all, I love this thing. It works very well and for its size, it packs a lot of battery power. I also have the Goal Zero Escape 150. I wanted a smaller unit that I could take with me overseas and on adventures. I mainly wanted to power USB devices and some other things (camera battery chargers, etc...). The one big one was my MacBook Pro 15" Retina (85W power supply). While the inverter is capable of 100W, the combination of a Sherpa 50 + inverter only allows for up to 75W. Apparently, a Sherpa 100 is coming, which when used with the inverter will power up to 100W. I didnt know this until I was trying to charge my MBP on a flight and the battery 'failed' (the error message on the LCD). It charged for a few seconds, reset, charged for a few seconds, etc... My MBP has a 95WH battery, so I was hoping to get it back up to about 50%. Because it was just a bit underpowered, I wasnt able to charge my MBP. I am ordering a 60W power supply for my MBP, which I know will charge it if its not in use... I would have probably still bought this knowing that, but it was a bummer to learn the hard way. I would have given it 5 stars had I known in advance that the inverter + Sherpa 50 only gave me 75W of AC power. I understand trying to have consumer friendly messaging, but not having any solid specs kind of hurt me here...

I do love this thing very very nice piece of kit. I'll definitely buy the Sherpa 100 when it becomes available too!

The charger is great and does exactly what it says it charges your Zune in 2 hours and it works for all models it comes with the a/c adapter and a sync cable the a/c adapter is pretty much a usb charger so you can connect anything to it and its also pretty compact

I like the fact that the electrical prongs can be folded for easy carrying,

and the removeable USB cord, gives it a small footprint.

As with most of the Zune accessories, do a Google search, these two pieces, can be bought for a lot less!

Plug it in and it works. Wantr to use it as a USB ccable remove the cable from the plug that works too. A bit overpriced, but no complaints.

Honest reviews on Zune HD Charge Pack

My husband and I have tried both, charging my daughter's Zune with the A/C plug and USB cable as well as with only the USB cable to charge through our brand new Gateway computer tower. This item is not working. I tend to believe there may be a short in the USB cable considering the fact that the Zune software program states that "no device is connected" along with the fact that my automatic settings on my computer never picked up on the device being plugged in. My daughter's Zune is almost brand new. She's had the device stored away in a safe place until bringing it to me. Beyond that I can say the seller was prompt on shipping.

Honestly there's not too much to review on this charger. But I'll set up a pro/con anyway.

Pros:

1. Works as it should.

2. Blades fold in so they wont break or get crushed.

3. Cord disconnects from charger and is a standard 2.0 usb.

Cons:

1. WAY too expensive!

Reviews of Belkin TuneBase FM Transmitter for iPod with Dock Connector (Black)

Belkin TuneBase FM Transmitter for iPod with Dock Connector
Customer Ratings: 3 stars
Buy Now
Strengths: All-in-one solution for docking, charging, and FM transmission; adaptable to all iPods and vehicles; versatile FM tuning options

Weaknesses: Sound quality issues typical of FM transmitters; no auxiliary audio input or output

Let's face it: using your iPod in your vehicle just isn't as simple as it should be. Unless you're driving a 2006 model year or later vehicle, chances are that your vehicle's stereo head unit doesn't provide any easy way for you to connect your iPod (or any other digital music player, for that matter). That means that you only have three options for listening to your iPod through your vehicle's stereo: direct connection to your head unit via an auxiliary input, a cassette tape adapter, or an FM transmitter. Most automobiles don't offer an auxiliary input jack on the front of their receivers, and connecting your iPod to a rear aux input--if your unit even has one, that is--is a complicated process that involves removing your receiver and (sometimes) part of your dashboard as well. So even though this setup offers the best sound quality, installation can prove difficult...or impossible. On the other hand, cassette tape adapters provide a far simpler and good-sounding method to connect your player, but they only work if your vehicle has a cassette player. So if neither of the above solutions are an option for you, then you have to begin considering either (1) purchasing an aftermarket, iPod-friendly head unit or (2) looking for an FM transmitter, and that's where the Belkin TuneBase FM for iPod comes into the picture.

If you decide to go the FM transmission route, you really can't lose with the TuneBase FM. Not only does it transmit the audio output from your iPod to an FM frequency you select, but it also provides a convenient dock for your iPod that even charges your iPod while it's in use. Many all-in-one solutions such as this are poor performers all around, but the TuneBase FM fulfills all of its duties superbly.

It goes without saying that the most important element of the TuneBase FM's performance is sound quality. After all, it doesn't do much good to dock and charge your iPod in the car if you can't listen to your music. As FM transmitters go, the TuneBase FM does an admirably good job getting audio output from your iPod to your vehicle's stereo, but it is plagued by the same sound quality issues that affect all FM transmitters. I live in an area that has a pretty crowd frequency spectrum; there are only a few frequencies that are relatively free of other transmissions. Despite this, however, the TuneBase FM still manages to transmit a clear audio signal to my receiver most of the time, although static can be a problem from time to time. I commute almost forty miles one way to work everyday, and I rarely have to switch frequencies, which is pretty impressive. Your results may vary depending on how crowded the airwaves are in your region. Compared to my last FM transmitter, a highly-rated iRock! BeamIt model, the TuneBase FM transmits a slightly clearer and more powerful signal. You won't get a much better FM signal from any other FM transmitter.

The TuneBase FM's other features are what really make it stand out from the rest of the crowd. Its docking solution, utilizing a flexible steel "neck" to support the cradle, is much more elegant, flexible, and pleasing to the eye than other solutions that use a series of thick, jointed plastic connectors. This allows you to position your iPod just about any way you please, and it also virtually guarantees that this dock is adjustable to fit just about any vehicle on the road. The dock is secured by inserting the base into a free power or cigarette lighter outlet, which is also how the device receives power for charging the iPod. Included in the box are plastic and rubber outlet adapters to ensure a snug fit in just about any outlet, and this seems to work quite well; even over bumpy roads or terrain, my iPod remains firmly upright in its cradle. It would be nice if the adjustable neck were just a couple inches longer (this unit includes a four-inch neck, the TuneBase FM for iPod nano includes a seven-inch neck), but a longer neck would likely be too flimsy to support heavier iPods such as the 60GB and new 80GB 5G video iPods.

The TuneBase FM automatically pauses and powers down a docked iPod when it the power supply to the device is interrupted, and it powers up the iPod and resumes playback when power is restored. One note about this: there is no on/off switch on the device, so it remains powered as long as the vehicle's power outlet is powered. If your vehicle's power outlets deactivate when you remove the key from the ignition, then this is not an issue. However, if your vehicle (like mine) powers your outlet(s) continually (even when the vehicle is off and the key is removed from the ignition), you need to remember to manually turn off your iPod when exiting your car or risk draining your car's battery.

Tuning to different radio frequencies with the TuneBase is a simple exercise. The device interfaces with the iPod through its dock connector, so it is able to display frequency and present information on the iPod's own display, which is much easier to read than a separate LCD readout. Tuning options are very flexible. In addition to four presets (which, if you sync with the presents on your vehicle's receiver, makes channel-hopping a breeze), the TuneBase FM allows you to to any frequency from 87.9 to 107.9, including broadcast-free even-numbered frequencies such as 88.8, 96.2, etc.

I only have a few minor complaints about the TuneBase FM for iPod. As I mentioned earlier, there is no on/off switch to accommodate vehicles with continually-powered outlets and cigarette lighters. I haven't experienced any difficulties with leaving my TuneBase plugged in for extended periods of time as long as I manually power down or remove my iPod, but it's an unnecessary extra step that I shouldn't have to take. It's also unfortunate that Belkin does not include auxiliary input and output jacks for direct connection to supported receivers or the ability to use the TuneBase for other digital media players and not just iPods. There's even a spot on the cradle specifically for an auxiliary jack; Belkin just decided not to include it with this model. That's really too bad, as I would have been more than willing to pay an extra five dollars or so for the added functionality of an auxiliary jack.

Overall, however, the TuneBase FM for iPod is an excellent product. If you have decided that FM transmission is your only option for in-car iPod connectivity, then this product is definitely worth considering and will perform admirably.

This is an excellent FM tuner solution. Unlike other FM tuners I have used, the frequencies you can use are not preset and can be reset on the fly. In addition, the Tunebase charges your battery while the iPod is in use.

There are drawbacks to keep in mind: like all FM tuners, you will hear static if you are getting signal interference. This is going to be an issue if you tend to drive in areas with heavy airwaves. This was a problem I had with previous solutions but is less of an issue since the frequencies are not hardcoded into the device and can be reset manually. It can be a little work to find a clean frequency, but that's just the nature of FM tuners.

I had originally considered finding some direct input solution for my iPod but found that it would be impractical for my car as far as the investment of dollars and work went. Seeing as how my car is about three years old, most solutions involve either replacing the stereo or actually going in and messing with the wiring in my car. I got the Tunebase as an interim solution but I am so satisfied with it I think I'm just going to use it for as long as I have this car.

Best Deals for Belkin TuneBase FM Transmitter for iPod with Dock Connector (Black)

This is solution for your traveling iPod! The unit includes adapters for many different iPod models. It also includes fitting to ensure a snug fit into your 12-volt car power adapter. The fit is tight enough that the plug will not rotate with the weight of the iPod.

Sound quality is great. It holds your iPod quite securely. You can position your player where it is most convenient and visible!

I have two complaints:

1. As high volume, you can hear the electronic whine of the charger. This is unavoidable but less at lower frequencies. It may not be noticeable with some music but I am an audio-book listener so I can hear it.

2. The controls are little limiting and awkward. Adjusting the transmit volume, which you admittedly do only once, is quite awkward requiring you hold the unit, hold two buttons down while pressing a third. However, selecting a different station is very easy and one-handed.

Overall, I am quite please with this and recommend it.

Honest reviews on Belkin TuneBase FM Transmitter for iPod with Dock Connector (Black)

I, like many, used those old fashioned tape adapters when I first bought a portable CD player. The sound on that old device is far superior to the quality of this Belkin product.

My fiance & I recently purchased a 30GB Video iPod and wanted to get something so we can listen to it in my 04 Accord and her 04 Cavalier. We agreed getting a radio transmitter was the best idea since we could switch it between cars when we wanted. We got this Belkin product from a local retailer for a relatively good price.

The flexible arm was nice, we could maneuver the iPod to face us and still be within reach to skip songs or change playlists. It also displayed the station we were using on the iPod itself, instead of on the Belkin device, this too was a pretty neat feature.

But from there on out, it's all downhill. We found an empty radio station in our suburb of Chicago, 88.3, and used it. The sound was ok, but I had to turn my radio up pretty loud in order to hear it. With that came a lot of static and high pitched whirring noise that was actually a little louder than the music itself. I didn't notice the noise / static too much when we listened to pop, rock, or R&B but when Classical or Vocal music played, you'd hear static instead of silence. Also, as we'd accelerate the noise would worsen!

We got used to the static and said, we'll deal with it. However, we drove into the city recently and experienced a plethora of other problems. As we'd drive on the highway, someone would pass us. Coincidentally some of them had radio transmitters on the same station as us. We'd hear their music crystal clear as if it was being played in our CD player. After they passed us, we'd go back to our staticy sound.

A little later on, the static starting getting overwhelming and it turned out there was a weak broadcast on that station in the city, so we switched to a different empty station 88.1, and we still couldn't hear. So we tried another, and another... we didn't hear any music for the rest of our day. NO station worked.

On the way home we stopped at my fiance's parent's house, and they said we should try their DLO Transpod. We plugged it in and tried 87.9 (which they recommended) and it was crystal clear. We decided to try 88.1 and 88.3 too since they were what we used earlier that day. As expected, they worked perfectly. I've now driven for days with this new device all over the suburbs and in the city. It's like night and day compared to the Belkin device. We are returning ours today.

To sum it up, FM transmitters are rather expensive and an imperfect solution to the iPod / car issue. But if you're gonna shell out your money on a device, you expect it to work. On top of that, you don't just expect it to work "ok", you expect it to work great. The Belkin achieved a nice sleek design and ease of use, but beyond that the product is worthless. DO NOT BUY THIS DEVICE!

If I could rate this a 0 out of 5, I would.

I have owned the itrip, which was convienient, because you could take it anywhere (being cordless) and play it on any radio. But the sound was absolutly awful, and it drained the baterry. Then I bought the Transpod, which was an improvement, b/c the sound was a little better, and it charged the ipod. However, It was ugly as junk. Anddd after just a month of owning it, it broke. All It did was sit in my car. You can tell it is very cheap. So now I bought the belkin tunebase fm...ANDDDDD......This thing is amazing. The sound is serously BETTER then a cd quality (if you beleive that) I serously have never heard the bass in my car hit so sharply. It also charges it, and the tunebase is pretty small and holds the ipod without any ugly cords. You need to find a station that doesnt have reception for it to come in perfectly clear, and at times I do notice the ringing noise the other reviewer mentions, but I rarely notice it. I give the itrip 2 stars, the transpod 3, and this thing 5 stars by far. I don't know how it compares to the other new fm transmitters, but compared to the older ones, it is in another league. I highly recommend it.

This works pretty well, and considering the dearth of accessories around for the Gigabeat, you have to take what you can get.

It works really well if you only use it as an FM transmitter or battery charger, not both at once. However with the power and audio cords plugged in, there is a distinct high frequency whine. It you're travelling at highway speeds, you probably won't notice it over the noise of the engine. But it seems to vary based on engine speed, so during a stop-start drive around the suburbs you will notice it. It's a pity they couldn't have filtered this noise out, especially since it's "second generation", so presumably someone would have noticed this before.

It's built pretty well and I like the idea that I can get other tips in the future to use it for other music devices or phones.

I use an iPod 160G for entertainment and my Android phone for navigation. There are many dual USB chargers out there but few that will run both devices AND keep the batteries charged. It was not unusual in the past for me to have a dead battery in my phone after a long trip.

Since I got this charger I have never had that problem. 4.2 amps may seem like overkill but (I've read in other reviews) that it's the combined rating and each USB outlet will supply 2.1 amps. This is apparently plenty to keep both devices going. This is the smallest one I could find that is rated this high.

I'm very happy with this device.

I have gone thru alot of chargers for my truck. They are not very rugged and I usually have to wiggle it in the socket and turn it just right for them to work. This one works ever time. Just pop it in and it works. Has no problem with two items (phones) charging. Also it lights up with blue to tell you its working. You don't have to put your hand around it and hang upside down to see the light (lol) in the sun.

I highly recommend it. I carry mine in my purse cause you just never know when you need to charge in someone elses car and they don't have one. I highly recommend this item. Well worth the money.

This cable will not let me manage any files on my MP3 player (only charge it) so I guess I need to get a different cable.

This review is based on ~8 months of use. Purchase price was $70.

This starter pack is useful if you have a car that sits a lot, and you cannot use a float/trickle charger (like at an apartment). I telecommute most of the time, so my car battery does not get charged much by the alternator. I noticed that the battery in my car was no longer zippy (starts up fast when the battery is good), so I bought this starter pack to supplement the car battery. I would use it multiple times before I recharged the pack. The car battery eventually became severely damaged (interior lights were completely dead) due to lack of use/charge and this pack started the car up on the first try so I could get to Sears.

Stanley recommends that this pack be charged every month, regardless if it is used or not. After the purchase of a new car battery, the jump pack sat in my car for a while, but still held a charge. It was able to start the car of a stranded motorist after not being charged for weeks.

Note that this starter pack cannot run a tire pump from the cigarette lighter outlet as the amp draw is limited to .5amp. Get a different unit if you plan on using it for this purpose. The LED light is quite dim, but better than nothing when you are on the side of the road without a flashlight.

Buy a short extension cord to charge this jump starter, as it does not come with one.

I recently purchased the Stanley Jump Start for myself, and what a great item this is. Totally portable, charges off a common extension cord into your own outlet(s). Not too heavy, many features like a light attachment, a USB port, neatly accomodates the cables. Well worth the price, and I found out about it from my AAA service for dead car batteries. I love it when people share great buys.

I am rating this unit at three as I am not sure yet if it is defective, or just not very worthwhile. I bought it about a month ago, and charged it fully as was recommended in the directions. A week later, I had the "opportunity" to use it and it failed to jump start my neighbors riding lawn mower. The battery on the unit did not did not hold a charge. I put a charge on it again, and will see if it holds this time. I should think a week between charging and using should not render the battery so weak as to not start a little lawn mower!

Honest reviews on Stanley J509 500 Amp Jump Starter

Charged it when I received it per instructions. Then when I went to use it... nothing. I tried the battery test and it showed no charge. Got a refund. Also, cables are so short you have to set it somewhere in the engine compartment.

This product works exactly as advertised!!! Buying this from Amazon was a big money saver and peace of mind considering that Amazon was able to deliver it in one day using Prime for only $11.99 -and it only took 3 hours to charge then it started a car when the battery could not even turn the starter without clicking.

Instead of paying $45 for a jump start I ordered the Stanley J509 overnight .. got it by Noon -charged it and had a running car in less then 24 hours. So I now have piece of mind and did not waste $45 on a wrecker to jumpstart my car instead I have peace of mind for a long time to come with a great product.

Worked exactly as described -well made -and quality product. Can't ask for much more then that!!!

I recently purchased an Apple 64GB iPad 2 (Wi-Fi and 3G) and fell in love with it. I take it with me just about everywhere I go. Expensive item but well worth the price. I also bought the best case I could find for my iPad 2 but only by going through many manufacturers and models. This was no easy task because there are a lot of inferior cases out there and only a handful of excellent quality cases. Being an Apple user for many years I have never bought any accessory that wasn't made by Apple (because their quality control is very high). My last purchase of an Apple bluetooth keyboard for my iPad (from Amazon.com) is another very high-quality item that is made very well using the best quality materials.

I bring all of this up because I was searching for a car charger for my iPad 2. There aren't a lot of them to choose from so (as usual) I searched Amazon.com and other internet sites looking for one that was at least comparable to an Apple device. I stumbled across this Skiva PowerFlow 2.1-amp/10 Watt charger that works not just for my iPad 2, but also for i-Phones, iPods and any other devices Apple makes in the future (as long as they continue to use the specific to Apple charging and sync cable).

I was very impressed when it arrived and I checked it out. The charger and cable and connectors are all black and look great in my car. The charger fits snugly and tightly in my car's charger. No loose fitting here which is what I was hoping for. The same is true of both of the end connectors. One end (the USB) plugs into the charging unit while the other plugs into my iPad, iPhone or iPod. ALL connectors and charger fit perfectly and need to be pulled out as I've said everything fits very tightly. Also my iPad charged very quickly (as good as using AC house current or even better). Again, I was extremely impressed!!! This is simply a great little car charger which is really handy to have especially when making long car trips. If you have kids with you and happen to have any movies on your iPad (Digital copies) you'll really appreciate this charger even more.

This purchase for me was somewhat of a "blind buy" even though all the customers who bought one at Amazon.com gave it all high scores (most giving it a 5 which is the highest). So I thank all the Amazon customers who gave this item the high scores it deserves. I know I'm very grateful to have found this item at Amazon.com because the price could not be beat on such a high-quality product.

I definitely recommend this car charger very highly to anyone that has any Apple device and makes lengthy car trips. The quality of the charger and cable along with a very reasonable price can't be beat.

The fact that other USB cables can be plugged into the charger makes it a more versatile charger. Cable is long enough so that someone in the back seat can use their phone while it charges up front. Works with the iPhone 4s. This is my first car charger for an iPhone so can't really judge how fast it charges compared to other car chargers. However, it seems to charge at a rate of 1% per minute which is the same speed as the Apple wall charger that comes with the phone.

I originally gave this a positive review. I purchased in late November...5months later my update is it stopped working. it's due to exactly what another reveiw said, "The plug that goes in to the car is very loose and has to sit just right to stay connected." that's what started around february....2 months later i look at the cord and if it bends EVER SO SLIGHTLY, it will stop working over time. I'm extremely disappointed b/c it charged my phone rapidly! but now i have to buy another and get a "partial refund." i'd hate for anyone to be in this position, as reviews on here have helped me...i hope this helps you. You get what you pay for.....

After plugging this in, it charged my iPhone 4 for a few minutes (worth noting that it did not stay seated in the car lighter socket and had to be held in place seriously? How hard is it to design a correctly sized cylinder??). After less than five minutes, the indicator light went off on the unit and it became VERY hot! I decided to not risk my iPhone 4 any further. I've since tried it in two other vehicles (to see if it was a vehicle compatibility issue) and the unit is indeed fried on the inside and now only good if I want to needlessly drain my car battery, or fry an egg on it, or possibly send a vehicle up in a ball of flames.

Waste of time. Piece of junk. Don't waste your dollars. The manufacturer should be ashamed and Amazon should pull this item.

Product has a very poor quality. After using it 4 times, pieces started to brake. Its a disposable item, not suitable for long term use.

I have the version of the product with the breakaway switch, battery meter, and charger. There are a bunch of versions so make sure you get the part number you want. This was easy to install on my trailer, a flatbed with dual axles (note that wiring/electronics is something that I do frequently). The instructions were clear. It replaced an old non-charging type with a failed switch. I like the charge light as it tells me the connection to the truck is there and the test light lets me know the battery has juice. I never knew if the old one was going to work.

Easy to setup, good instructions. The lights help you see what is going on (battery status, charging...) and diagnosing wiring issues is easy.

The included battery was already charged and the box is easy to mount on the trailer. Overall a great solution, you won't need anything else to setup a breakaway system on your trailer.

I thought I was a big fan of these, but I am learning that after they have been on the trailer for more than a year or two, they get ruined by what I assume is sun/ultraviolet damage. The plastic film that covers the test button and the indicator-lights cracks and breaks which in turn lets the water into the unit. This has happened on both of my trailers recently, and the damage is identical. This is not caused by abuse because there is no reason to be touching the covering on the indicator lights. This would be a nice product, but it clearly has a relatively short lifespan.

Within a week the box was cracked, now the solder points have come apart. I am NOT a fan. If I had to guess without looking its MADE IN CHINA!

Hole for hole, wire for wire, it was an exact match for the previous box and performs well. Battery has held up well even with repeated testing required in a complete rewire.

This charger appears to be of higher build quality than the generic white "iPhone" chargers that are in a lot of accessory kits. It feels solid (not hollow and flimsy) and the blue power LED is behind a molded lens, not just peeking through a hole in the case.

Time will tell if it lasts longer than the generic cheapies, but I will be using it for two hours a day, at least 5 days a week. If it fails on me I will come back and edit this review. A generic cheapie lasted about a month in that kind of service before it simply stopped charging.

Stay Tuned!

I bought this product for my daughter who recently purchased an iPad 3. This is a great charger for the price and it has worked well so far. The bonus is the 1000mAh USB port which is great for charging iPods. You can plug in the outlet in the car and use your devices while they charge.

Honest reviews on PowerDigital Ultra Compact High Output Dual USB Car Charger - Ideal

Nice for charging a phone and a bluetooth at the same time. The blue light is helpful but not overbearing in a dark car. Have had this for over a year and it's still working great. I highly recommend this product.

I bought this for my car and have only used it a handful of times. The metal piece in between port A and port B just fell out. It charges OK but not having that piece makes it so that if you touch anything while it is charging it disconnects. I wouldn't recommend this product.
