The Biologic bike mount for iPhone 3GS is very sleek and attractive. It's well designed, engineered, and manufactured. The phone fits well in the case and the home button and the touch screen actually work through it. The volume buttons and sound switches are not accessible, but that's a small price to pay if it indeed is waterproof. I have not tested that yet. They even left a port for the camera lens, so if you have a time lapse video app on your iPhone, you can chronicle your ride. My only beef is that the entire thing is just a few chips of plastic and rubber. When you get it in your hands, the price of $55 feels way too high for what you are holding. The price needs to come down to the same as other iPhone cases (around $30) before I can recommend it. Also bear in mind that you have to take your iPhone out of its usual case to put it in the Biologic case. There is no extra room. That's a bit of a pain. Lastly, the bike mount bracket is entirely plastic and although well designed and simple, it looks like it won't stand up to repeated removal and reattachment. Hopefully Dahon will provide a replacement path for just that part. That would also help out if you have more than one bike, as I do, so I could get a extra mount bracket for each and move the case from bike to bike.

I have used the Biologic Mount now for a few months. The screen enables you to utilize all the functionality of the touchscreen which is great. However, the piece of plastic that snaps the lid on can come off if you hit a bump hard enough. The first time I hit a big pothole which was unavoidable the lid popped open and my iphone skid on the ground much to my horror. Testimony to the iphone as it remained relatively unscathed. The plastic components that snaps the lid shut should be revamped and made more secure to avoid this issue. As a security measure, I added a think rubber band around the base of the case to ensure the case would not pop open again. I usually ride for a couple of hours so I liked the fact that the iphone charger cable could be attached, and I actually ran the cable to a backup battery to extended the battery life of my iphone. It's a good design, but the case really needs to latch more securely to avoid having your iphone fall out midstream.

well, I should have believed in some of the reviews I read. On my first time out with my bike I hit a medium sized pothole and the cover popped open and launched my phone across the road... luckily I was able to retrieve it however only to find a smashed glass front. Of course Apple wants $199 to provide me with a replacement. Perhaps BioLogic will send me the $199 for a product that doesn't hold up under real circumstances? If you were using this on a stationary bike, it should work. If you plan on riding this in the "real" world I ABSOLUTELY advise a rubber band or velcro strap around the unit. Best of luck to you.

Honest reviews on BioLogic Bike Mount for iPhone (fits 3, 3G, 3GS)

This was the best option I could find for mounting my Iphone to my motorcycle handlebars. I wanted something that would offer some water resistance and complete coverage for the phone, while allowing me to see and access the screen for navigation apps, ect. I would rate it five stars, if not for the cons listed below.

Pros:

-case is well designed and is easy to mount, provides decent protection

-holds steady at 70+mph on a naked motorcycle

-looks good and provides full 360 degrees of orientation

-can be adjusted easily while on the go

Cons:

-expensive for a plastic and rubber mount/case

-home button is held on with adhesive and could peel off

Overall, I am happy with this purchase. Amazon seller, safetycycle provided good service and fast, free shipping via USPS. USPS did crush the packaging, but the product inside was undamaged.

Really was looking forward to having a Bike mount for my iPhone. The plastic looks sturdy enough but nowhere near the what's required the bike mount itself is just a bad construction. Can just pull the the iPhone right off, has no security at all... DO NOT PURCHASE! Hoping Otter Cases comes up with something far better....

The Slime COMP 07 Rechargable Tire Inflator is also marketed as:

Kwik Goal Portable Inflator

Campbell-Hausfeld Model CC2300

Unfortunately, the unit is sold with a cheap 12 Volt, 7.0 Amp-Hour internal battery that cannot hold up under the rigors and demands put on it by the general consumer. Anyway, the battery in any of these types of portable devices doesn't last forever and will eventually have to be replaced. Think of is as normal maintenance, to be done every two to five years, even with the best of batteries.

But a simple change to a 12 Volt, 8.5 Amp-Hour, high-rate replacement battery will greatly enhance its performance. Without going into a stuffy brain-dump: A simple 21% increase in Amp-Hour capacity (to 8.5 Amp-Hours) will double the amount of work the fully charged battery can do, under load, such as the internal 12 Volt compressor motor. The "high-rate" designation is also a type of battery that is designed to take heavy loads without damage -or shortened battery lifespan.

But don't make the mistake that many 12 Volt power pack owners sometimes do: Attempting to jump-start their car from this tiny device. Doing so will instantly destroy the unit's internal 12 Volt battery and literally melt the compressor case down. Also, never plug a 12VDC appliance into the "Output DC 12V" jack that exceeds about 0.5 Amps (6 watts). For example, plugging in a small 12VDC coffee cup warmer will draw 8-10 Amps and burn out the internal 12 Volt lead acid battery in a couple of minutes. You'll know when a sealed lead acid battery is burned out when the tremendous amount of heat from the dying battery melts and distorts the outside plastic case of the compressor and a sick vinegar smell emits from the now-dead internal battery.

That said, replace with: Power-Sonic PSH-1280 FR Battery, 12 Volt, 8.5 Amp-Hour, High-Rate Series. I ordered mine from BatteryPlexDotCom. Really, to install a lower capacity battery in a portable field device is just false economy. And note: The different brand names of this tire inflator seems to have battery terminals in one of two widths: "F1" designation is for the 3/16" / .187" wide metal terminal tabs on the battery, and the "F2" designation is for the 1/4" / .25" wide metal terminal tabs on the battery. So be sure to specify this, for a quick and speedy battery change with the internal wiring push-clips. To get to the internal battery, just lay the portable compressor on its side and unscrew the seven phillips-head screws that hold the halves of the outside plastic case together.

Now the portable compressor unit pumps up my 100psi bicycle tires -and 34psi minivan tires, with ease. The built-in pressure guage, in my unit, reads 5psi higher than actual, but that's easy to compensate for.

And the unit also now serves as a reliable 12 Volt portable power pack, a real workhorse, that is quickly recharged in the field with my portable 12 Volt wind generator, or my portable 12 Volt sun tracking solar panel.

I have also been pleasantly surprised with the unusually well-designed quick connect valve that seats perfectly on the valve stem, and releases without loss of tire pressure. Really, this has been a major headache with all my other air pumps, both manual and electric: When removing the quick connect valve from the tire stem, air always rushes out, and several more attempts have to be done before the tire is finally properly inflated, a real pain. But, to expedite things, and just to be sure, I usually disconnect the Slime COMP 07 quick connect valve from the tire valve stem as soon as the proper pressure is reached, with the air compressor still running.

The battery for this device is a lead acid battery, that is sealed, so that the electrolyte will not leak out of the battery. But, being a lead acid battery, it can do only half as much work, at 30 degrees Fahrenheit, as it will do at 70 degrees Fahrenheit. So either store the portable compressor in a reasonably warm environment until you need it, or accept its inherent shortcomings in a cold environment.

Also, never run the portable compressor down until it runs slowly, or ceases to run. This is commonly known as "batterycide." Doing so, even if promptly recharged, will greatly reduce the service lifespan, or even destroy, any good lead acid battery. Keep the portable compressor charged and ready at all times and you'll have no trouble. The LED Battery Check indicator is activated by turning on the Power switch (with the Compressor switch off). The unit is okay to run as long as the LED indicator is green "HI". The portable compressor should be recharged when the LED indicator is yellow "LOW". If at all possible, do not discharge the battery below 12.25 Volts. Always immediately recharge the battery after moderate-to-heavy use. You'll soon learn what this useful little compressor can handle -and can't handle.

And, being a lead acid battery, it will hold its charge for months and months, with very low self-discharge. Yet another advantage of lead acid batteries is that they are routinely recycled. In fact, a brand new lead acid battery, off-the-shelf, is manufactured from recycled lead.

One major, and justified, gripe many owners have with the unit is the ridiculous claim in the instruction manual that the device can be used to inflate air mattresses, rafts, etc.. Well, that's simply not true. The compressor is for pneumatic tires and soccer balls and footballs, etc. only (and maybe to run an airbrush). The hard-working piston in the compressor is only the size of your little fingertip, so it would take all day to fill up an air mattress, and keep filling it until the mattress bursts (if unattended). And the battery is not large enough to run the compressor that long anyway. For air mattresses and rafts, just buy a specialized high-volume, low pressure, 12 Volt air pump, and plug it into 12 Volt jack on your trusty Campbell-Hausfeld Cordlesss Air Inflator / 12-Volt Power Pack, and you're good to go.

A compact rechargeable inflator that uses a lead-acid battery. Noisy but powerful, it has handy storage for its components, but a useless pressure gauge.

After my last 12V-DC inflator blew the fuses on my Civic, I decided it was time for a tire pump that didn't depend on the car for power. This unit inflates my Civic tires about 2-3 times as fast as the old 12V.

It's not as loud as the car engine and the old pump were (running at the same time), but all the noise is from one point, so it seems louder to my ears. It vibrates enough to "walk" a little while running on the concrete floor.

The unit has storage panels front and back that store all of the cables/accessories that come with it, and a short instruction leaflet. The in-built gauge is useless. It approximates the correct pressure with the unit off (but not clearly enough to read a specific number). But turn the unit on, and the indicated PSI instantly jumps to 40psi and stays there.

I have to check the pressure before and after with my Accutire Digital Tire Gauge. An accurate built-in digital pressure readout would have been outstanding. The flip-tab on the hose is kind of stiff for the first few uses, I ended up letting a bunch of air out of my tires in the process of getting it locked into place.

The product's lead-acid battery has the advantage of no "memory effect", meaning charging the battery w/o discharging it fully doesn't shorten its life (like a Ni-Cad), but the drawback is that much like your car battery, a lead-acid must be kept topped off, and if you allow a lead-acid to drain completely, it fails and is no longer chargable. A Lithium-Ion would have been nice instead, since they are non-toxic (no special disposal needed) and are not harmed by being fully discharged.

I'm unclear on the choice of "Slime" as a brand-name, but it IS memorable, and the product is good. And it sure beats using a filthy public air pump at a gas station (and it's always freezing, searing hot, or raining when you need to do this), if you can even find one that's functioning.

This inflator could be quieter, use a Li-ion battery, and have a usable pressure gauge, but it gets the job done in a compact no-fuss package. Recommended.

This seems like a very solid unit, but upon careful reading of the user guide I found that it should not be used to inflate while plugged in to the AC/DC power supply. The wording also implied that the unit should only be used to inflate while operating under its internal battery power, and that the 12v cigarette lighter adapter and Ac/Dc adaptor are for charging the battery only. The battery should also be routinely charged (5-9 hours) to prevent draining. I've written to Slime twice for clarification on the "don't inflate with the chargers" to see what the consequences might be if one did, but they have not responded. So if you don't remember to take it out of your trunk and recharge it periodically, it may be useless that one time you need it to do an emergency roadside tire inflation... Unless you have 5-9 hours to spare to charge it up first. Seems like a chance I wouldn't want to take. I returned it.

Honest reviews on Slime COMP 07 Rechargeable 12-Volt Tire Inflator

This is essentially the same unit as a Campbell Hausfeld pump I had a few years ago. The only problem I have with that one I lost it. I honestly do not know what happened to it. Anyhow, this one looks, smells, sounds, and operates the same as the Campbell Hausfeld I had.

I followed the instructions to the letter charged it at room temperature for 18 hours right out of the box.

The test:

Two cars and one ¾ -ton truck, each with four tires that needed some (a few needed quite a bit of) air.

Two motorcycles, each with two tires about ten pounds low.

One riding mower, four tires that were in serious need of air.

All in all, twenty tires of various sizes. The unit filled all tires on one charge, and the yellow light was just starting to come on with three tires remaining. The truck tires are size LT275/65R20 (quite large); each were filled from ~60 PSI to 65 PSI, so I believe this was a pretty intense test for this unit.

The total run time to fill up all tires I estimate was about 70 minutes. The only rest time it got was moving from tire to tire.

Noise completely acceptable. Not as loud as some portable units I've heard. Quiet? No, but it is not what I would call loud. I would say "noticeable".

Valve on and off definitely tight, a little difficult in some situations. I recommend putting a little bit of oil on one valve stem. That will make it go on and off more easily on the rest of the tires.

Charging light stays on when plugged in, does not turn off when done. The manual recommends leaving it plugged in whenever it's not in use. I don't plan to do that. Instead I will charge it periodically.

I think this is a great unit, and it does what I bought it for keep me from having to drag out the extension cord when I need to check and fill tires. Is it the only pump I will ever need for all occasions? No. Is it the emergency pump I will travel with? No. Is it the pump I plan to use almost all of the time for filling tires? Absolutely. I am a creature of convenience :-).

I will update this review if anything out of the ordinary happens, but for now thumbs up!

I hope this helps thanks to everyone else for their reviews!

I was hesitant to buy a product with "Slime" as the brand name. Nevertheless, it was on sale and I decided to risk it. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised! It was cheaper than my previous tire inflator from Sears( I called the red hot mama!) and was much better. It was easy to use and was powerful enough to inflate the tires on two vehicles quickly without getting hot. I would recommend it to anyone and plan to seek out the "Slime" brand next time.

I purchased two of these adapters to provide continuous power to the two Petmate Le Bistro Portion-Control Automatic Pet Feeders that I recently purchased from Amazon. The 600 ma (milli-amps)of current is sufficient to run many small devices, and the 7 different tips will adapt to many products (just make sure to insert the tip to get the proper polarity, or you may blow out the device you're powering, or at least blow a fuse). The ability to change voltage settings makes this product very versatile, as you can choose from 3, 4.5, 6, 7.5, 9,and 12 volts, DC (VDC). In my case, I needed 4.5 VDC at 600 ma to run the pet feeders, because the product vendor does not list the adapter on their website, yet their manual directs you to the website to buy one. A quick search of Amazon brought me to this product. Amazon's excellent customer service, and fast, free shipping served me well once again!

1-6-12 Update: Both adapters are still doing their job with the Petmate feeders after about 9-months of twice-daily use.

Went to Radio Shack to look for a universal adapter for my daughter's little BeBop CD player. They were charging like $30 just for the adapter and then you had to buy the tip separately. Wasn't sure how much that was but probably another $10. Searched here and bought based on reviews. This works great. Voltage selection is a great feature and the multiple tips are great. There is no noticeable heat coming from the unit. Finding the right polarity is important but not complicated at all if you know how to read. You match the symbols on your device with what is in the instructions and you are good to go.

Great price, arrived quickly, and is working perfectly. Another great Amazon purchase for me.

Just a heads up to those who might be looking for an additional ac adaptor for Motorola Digital Video Baby Monitor with 3.5 Inch Color LCD Screen

The plug on the Motorola Digital Video Baby Monitor is very small. Therefore I was concerned this ac adapter might not have a tip that fit the Baby monitor.

The adapter arrived today and I am pleased to say that there is one plug small enough to use on the Motorola Baby Monitor listed above.

Hooked it up and all seems to be working fine atm.

There is no 5.0 volt selection available that's very common to all powered USB hubs and other PC related electronic devices.

NOT USABLE FOR RADIOS

I purchased this power adapter to use with a small portable radio, the Grundig MINI400. The power adapter can be set to the proper voltage (4.5 V.) and comes with a coaxial power plug that fits the MINI400. I installed the adapter, checked the voltage (read 4.56V.) and polarity with my DVM and thought I was home free. NOT SO! This adapter generates terrible radio frequency "hash" on it's output power leads and makes radio reception all but impossible.

I suspect this unit uses a switching power supply and has little or no RFI filtering. Totally unusable for powering a portable radio. I'm stuck with it since the cost of return postage and restocking is almost equal to the original price I paid. It's not worth the time and trouble to try to return it so it's going in the trash.

I was looking for something portable to carry in the saddlebag of the motorcycle. Perfect size but does it work? I intentionally drained down the battery in my Honda 1100cc, right down to just clicking from the starter, threw on the Startmonkey, and started the bike. Met all my expectations so far. Wish it had come with an AC power adapter to rechage the unit through houshold ac., but you can purchase it separately and it comes with all the world wide adapters for tons of countries, all at a very small price, just under $10 which i just ordered.

I bought this about a year ago and have found so many uses outside of jumping another vehicle. I use it as a backup battery for several instruments in my work. Highly portable, lightweight, small and keeps most low amp instruments going for hours and/or charges the device battery. It is great if you're a motorcycle rider on long trips...it has saved me and my back country motor riders several times. You'll find many uses for this battery and it jump-starts vehicles!!

Works great for my EVO, and Nook.

I had troubles at first (My Evo showed it was charging but then would run out of power and die). But I realized through trial and error that you have to turn the battery on first (ie the blue light are lit up), otherwise its not really charging, even if it looks like it is.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

The device comes in a white box with no instructions. The first thing you need to know is that you must press and hold the center button for several seconds for the battery to begin charging your devices; same to turn the battery off. This was not obvious; they should have provided some minimal instructions.

Some other minor frustrations:

* The port for charging the device is mini-USB. Micro-USB is the new standard for cell phones and every cell phone charger I have is micro-USB. It would be nice if I could carry around just one cell phone charger and use it for charging my phone and as well as this device.

* The package comes with adapters for every imaginable connector type for use with the two retractable cables they provide, but it only comes with one of each so you have only one micro-USB adapter and every device I own now uses micro-USB. However, you can plug any standard USB cable into the device and just opt to not use the retractable cables they provide..

I'm giving this 4 stars primarily because it's a good value for the price. I'm using it with the HTC EVO 4G and it works well.

I used this battery yesterday to charge my EVO. With the phone on, the flash, and the camcorder recording, it charged my battery from 75% to 98%. It probably would have charged it to 100%, but I unplugged it because I had finished recording.

(The reviewer who said this product did not charge his EVO may want to get it checked out, as I have read that some EVOs have had some charging issues.)

Also, even after charging the night before, and while using it, it only felt very slightly warm, almost completely cold. I have used a similar product from Black & Decker that was bulkier, and it got very hot when charging and during use.

Im my opinion, it is well worth the money, and I will be buying 2 or 3 more soon!

Honest reviews on EZOPower 2 USB Port Compact External Portable Rechargeable

Review after a quick two days of use:

While the raw output voltage may not be strong enough to run some larger devices, I found that it would take my Fuze cell phone on "mifi" mode and stretch its life from the phone battery alone of 1.5 hours to a total of almost 5 hours combined. The $22 spent is well worth it.

My rating is more of a 4.5 based on what you get based on price.

There have been some on here that have complained that their EVO 4G phones continued to drain even though the device was plugged in. I am sure they noticed this especially with power intensive tasks such as Google Navigation.

The reason is not the device itself, but the USB cable. Although the EVO is rated to charge at 1 amp (1000 ma), USB cables are only rated to charge at 500 ma. While plugged into a power source, your EVO continues to run off it's battery. This means that although plugged in, if you battery is charging slower than it is using power, your phone will eventually die. In other words, it's not a "defect" but simply the nature of the beast.

Those who reported their batteries charging fine on their EVO's were likely doing less power intensive tasks such a browsing the web. Google Navigation may be the greatest power vampire on your phone simply because it is 1) constantly scanning for GPS, 2) computing your location, 3) updating the graphical interface, 4) keeping the screen on and 5) talking to you through the audio.

If you find yourself in a low power situation and wish to use Navigation, I recommend that when using Google Navigator, select the "Get Directions" option. No, it won't talk to you, but you won't lose power (and your navigation) half way there either.

If you own a Nuvi 765T you probably know by now that when constantly using the unit powered from the car's cigarette lighter, the original battery will drop dead and loose its ability to charge pretty quickly. After about 2 years owning one, the battery would hold a charge for no longer than 5 minutes. I was sure I'd find an elegant solution out there to service the unit myself, and sure enough, I came upon this product/

This is a very practical solution to refurbishing your Nuvi 765T GPS. It comes complete with a screwdriver and lever needed to unscrew and pry the unit open. A double-sided tape would have been a nice add-on but I was able to use the one I peeled off the old battery from inside the GPS. There is also not much room for the battery to room around inside so I wasn't too worried. All in all, it took me 3 minutes to replace the battery.

Highly recommendable to make a low cost battery uplift to your used / battery depleted unit.

I didn't know what I was getting into when I bought this kit with a DVD to tell me how to install a new battery in my Garmin Nuvi 765T. I was very pleasantly surprised to see (by watching the enclosed DVD that ran without a hitch on my computer) that I just had to unscrew two small screws in the back, use the green shimmy tool to GENTLY pry open the case (and this was the hardest part took me probably about 6 minutes, but it wasn't awful...just had to be careful and patient the video made it look a bit easy), disconnect two circuits on the board which came out easily, take out the old battery (again, a little patience required because of the cement-like glue they use to hold it to the back of the Garmin's case), use a piece of double-sided tape which I had in a drawer (didn't come in the kit...sounds like some people get double-sided tape and others don't) to seat the new battery where the old one was and stick it down, then go in reverse!

Having the DVD helped relieve any anxiety about the "procedure" of opening up my GPS. It really was easier than I had expected. The battery showed 4 bars (full) on my Garmin when I booted it back up, which made me smile. :) Charging now for the heck of it and I plan to give it a shot tomorrow since I use my GPS several times a week. Now I can spend the money I saved on maps for life. Thanks, seller, for a GREAT product I'll definitely be back if I need your help again! :D CHEERS!

I live in the Chicago area and leave my unit in the car all year around. Not good for battery life but if I leave it in the house, it will never be with me when I REALLY NEED IT! So my two year old battery would last about 5 minutes. I'm going on a trip this month and wanted to be able to search the area when away from my car. I researched replacement batteries and found the YouTube for the NewPower99. Looked easy enough ... so I gave it a try. I really took my time since I'm not a computer whiz. It took 7 minutes ... turned it on ... and it turned right on. To my surprise, the battery was fully charged. The tools that came with the battery were easy to use and great to have around for when I need to tighten the screw in my glasses. Don't be afraid of this ... just watch the video while you do it and your good to go.

Honest reviews on Garmin Nuvi 765T Battery Replacement Kit with Installation Video

I am not sure whether our Garmin is simply a lemon or whether this product is. It might well be the former but either way we have no functioning GPS. Installation was simple thanks to the accompanying video and our Garmin appeared to kick in with full power when we first charged it up. But, alas, it drained, displayed "Low Battery," and stopped working within 30 minutes just as it had prior to switching out the battery. Very annoying. I would make sure you truly have a battery issue before you purchase this because we obviously can't go back to Garmin now having opened the unit and installed this.

After finally tiring of an original Garmin battery in my 765T that simply wouldn't hold a charge very long, I decided to give this DIY product a try because Garmin's service department wanted around $100 and 2 weeks for battery replacement! Well I can now say that the all-in-one solution this kit provides takes out all the guesswork from the process and did the job for me completely, and for far less than shipping it back to Garmin.

My kit came in an easy-to-open clamshell case along with an instructional DVD in a white paper sleeve. Although not needed for my installation, a note tucked inside the DVD sleeve informed me that the instructional video could also be downloaded if the DVD was unplayable for any reason. I did a quick view of the DVD instructions so I knew what to expect and then opened up the kit and got to work. I followed right along with the DVD, pausing it after each instruction segment to perform the next step. The entire process from start to finish was about 10 minutes. My GPS then fired right up with a full 4-bar battery charge showing right out of the package. The instructions recommend fully charging the new battery anyway for at least 2 hours before using the unit. My 765T now holds a charge just like it did when it was brand new and I'm very satisfied with how easy the kit made the job!

From reading other reviews, it seems like there sometimes were (and still could be?) differences in what some people received in their kit. I don't know whether or not there was a quality control issue but my kit came complete. It contained the appropriately sized Torx screwdriver for the 2 case screws, a double-ended plastic shim/pry for case separation and old battery removal, a strip of double-sided tape to hold the new battery in place, and the replacement battery itself.

One minor complaint (and the reason for giving a 4-star rating instead of 5) -the replacement battery is advertised to be a High Capacity Extended Life battery that "offers even more up time than your original". Mine came printed with a rating of 1250 mAh, exactly the same rating as the original Garmin 765T battery it was replacing. That issue aside, this kit makes it easy and inexpensive for you to replace your unit's battery, thus extending its useful life, and is definitely recommended!

The reason I purchase this USB charger kit was because I was hoping I could also use it to charge my ipod if need be. However whenever I added the Apple USB cable, it wouldn't charge any of my Ipods. It did charge all of my Motorola products so it works fine, though to charge 10% of the battery takes 20 minutes, so it's not the most efficient charger.

What more can be said? It cost $3 and some change so it beats paying retail price for the same product which do the same thing.

A great ergonomically designed little jump start unit.

I love the fact that it can be left plugged in perpetually

and will take care of itself. I'm not mechanically inclined

so the less I need to do the better.

The only complaint I have about it is that it doesn't come

with a cord to plug into the wall. You have to get a heavy

duty extension cord to connect it to the wall, and they

never tell you that when you are reading the product

description. For the price of this item, I think it should

come with a simple short extension cord.

If it weren't for my All in One, I would have been dead in the water, literally, on Lake Lewisville in Texas. Needless to say, we ran the stereo & fish finder WAY longer than we should have and found ourselves stuck in a cove in the middle of nowhere. We brought the all in one, with the intention of just using it to inflate to tubes for the kids, but the Jump Start feature is what really saved us. I didn't even realize that it had a light on the handle (thank you wife for noticing) but that came in handy too trying to jumpstart a boat in the dusk while mosquitoes were starting to attack! I have since recommended it to many of my co-workers and fishing buddies.

I spent a few weeks researching different jump starters and I wanted something that was easy to use, had a built in float charger, air compressor and was cost effective.

This unit fit the bill and the additional features (plug-ins) is a bonus.

These boxes are basically a battery you charge and use it to start your car when your battery is dead. When you charge batteries you must be careful NOT to overcharge...meaning, you can not just plug them in and leave them until you are ready to use them 1, 2, 9 months later. The overcharge will literally cook the battery and render it useless. Suprisingly there are very few jump boxes on the market with built in float chargers...meaning, when the battery is fully charged it will go into a float mode and trickle charge the battery not overcharge.

I have used this box 5-6 times over the last 4 months and it has performed flawlessly...even started our 2005 Diesel truck and that takes some power!

Agree with many of the other users the box should come with a cord to plug it in...another $10 at the store and the cables could be just a touch longer as it is sometimes difficult getting to a grounded location with the negative cable.

All in all I knew about the need for a power cord and cable length going in and I felt this was the best product for the price...value!

Honest reviews on Energizer 84020 12V All-In-One Jump-Start System with Built-In Air

I've had this now for almost two years...long time to wait to make a review, I know. I didn't want to review it based on looks though so now I've got 2 years of use out of it in a variety of situations and plenty to say. Bottom line up front: I love this thing and feel huge pangs of insecurity when it isn't in my car for some reason. That's how good it is. Now for details.

I'll just get what might be a detractor addressed right away:

1) It is heavy for it's size. Yes, but it has a powerful battery in it and those are heavy. It isn't too heavy for me, a middle aged woman of no particular brawn.

2) Doesn't come with an AC Cord or DC Adaptor. Nope, it doesn't. I use a heavy duty extension cord but like that just fine. And I like that I can use my AC to DC charging cord that goes with other things instead of having to try to pack two of them. Not a problem for me.

3) The battery cables are short. Yes, they are and that would be the only thing that I would want to change. However, the trade off is more weight and size so I'm on the fence about that. You do have to find a way to prop it up when charging a battery. Some cars present a challenge.

My use experiences have all been positive for this unit and are as follows:

1) My nieces old POS car (a previously uncared for Cruiser) had a random starting problem that was eventually figured out and fixed but for a while, her car would just randomly not charge the battery. It was a hidden wire break but this unit saved the day many times.

2) My light duty SUV (relatively new and 6 Cylinder) battery died after I did an epic trailer tow with it in the hottest summer I could imagine on the east coast. This thing started it 4 times for me without a recharge and still had juice before I got my car to the shop.

3) I also got a nail in my tire...oh joy...on my way to work one morning and didn't notice. I aired up my big old tire and got halfway to the shop, pulled over, aired it up again and then got to the shop. The capacity light was still showing green.

4) This got left in my car for several months, with me not needing it and forgetting to take it out and plug it in to top off the charge. Of course, that is when we would have a huge storm that took out our neighborhood power for more than a day because we blew a transformer nearby. (That was a really spectacular sight, frightening but just like the movies). And, of course, my cell AND my Kindle Fire were low on charge. I used this to get full charges on both of them and then topped off my laptop and was able to watch a full movie. And that was after being in my SUV for months.

In my case, I've had nothing but good experiences with the unit and can't speak highly enough about it. Maybe I got a super-duper one where everything works just perfectly but I wouldn't trade it for anything, despite the amount of space it takes up in the back of my SUV. It's been so good to me, that while we've been looking for a second car one of the first things I said when I looked at the trunks of compact cars was whether or not one of these will fit with all my work stuff. A second one of these will be waiting when the new car comes home.

It was great, but after 7 months it will not recharge. Of course just outside the 6 month warranty.

This charger is wonderful. It works perfectly and rapidly charges my phone while on the go. I really like the fact that it is retractable. It makes it so much easier to store because you don't have to worry about the cord being in the way.

I have tried a variety of chargers. This is one of the best around. I have three of these chargers in various locations. I hook up all my vehicles and spare batteries when not driving to keep the batteries at optimum condition. (One should always keep Lead-acid type batteries in a fully charged state, and never fully discharge them.)

I also used this to bring some of my older batteries back to life. For example, one of the older batteries would only register 12.6V when charged with a conventional charger, and quickly settled to 12.1 V at rest. After 4 days of pulsing, the battery is at 13.2V fully charged state, and 12.8V at rest. This battery can be used to help neighbors jump start cars, and it runs some 12V devices effectively during power outages.

Warning: Do not connect this to a bad battery that has a short. The battery will draw current at a high rate from the charger, and the charger gets very hot. Although I caught it in time, it may overheat and damage the charger. Always monitor the charger for a few hours when hooking up to an old battery, to watch for over-heating. Or test to determine that the battery does not have a short before hooking up.

I am also using this to try and maximize the life of the newer AGM batteries. We'll see how that goes.

I have seen 3 of these identical models now.

I have one that I bought last year, and it's a 2 channel model. It works fine for motorcycle AGM battery maintenance, my application. I continue to use this one.

I needed another 2 channel model (I have too many toys), and I bought and tried 2 of these units in a row, from different distributors. Both exhibited the same failure mode. I made a series of tests using 5 different motorcycle batteries to insure it was not the batteries. It was not to my satisfaction. The failure did indeed follow the charger unit each time.

So, the problem is the charger, on only one channel, would indicate a 75% charge, and never exceed that. That is, it would never get to 100% and then go to "float" mode. It appeared "stuck" at 75%, no matter which battery would be placed on the channel (all the same AGM battery type).

These two boxes had pretty close to the same serial number range, and were both pretty far (in numeric range) from my original (good) charger.

I suspect their latest firmware or software is not too well tested, and is "buggy". I'm not gonna try a 3rd one...

Brought it to maintain new golf cart battery. Charges well but the true test can only be measured with time...time will tell.
